Dear KAG: 20201001 Open Thread

It’s been a hectic few days. Shall we relax a little?

[14 seconds into the video] Enough of that.

Okay, here we are. RED OCTOBER.

Yes, patience is wearing more thin than usual. However, for many Americans, the strategy to wake the people slowly and methodically is working. It may not always seem that way, but it is.

In the meantime, we just keep plugging away.

For Pat:

As usual, this is the daily thread, the place to put all information that needs to be out there – Q drops, Q drop decodes, riot information, rumors about MAGA rallies starting up again, news flashes, Chy-na flu updates, fashionable mask photos, satire, memes, and of course cute animal videos.

In the meantime, the short and sweet version of “THE RULES” is here borrowed from Tuesday:

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Since it is almost the weekend, the reminders are in place to not swing from the chandeliers, wash your hands and face, and be nice to the liberals whether they deserve it or not. Making your bed, OTOH, is optional.

LUKE 10:1-12

1After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to come. 2And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; and salute no one on the road. 5Whatever house you enter, first say, `Peace be to this house!’ 6And if a son of peace is there, your peace shall rest upon him; but if not, it shall return to you. 7And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages; do not go from house to house. 8Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you; 9heal the sick in it and say to them, `The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, 11`Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off against you; nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ 12I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

While on the hunt for the perfect COVID parody for this spot, I made a horrifying discovery.

The other side is doing parodies of us and targeting President Trump. GASP!

It made wading through the videos a challenge, but I did find this little gem.

    1. Liberty University Brings 44 Buses to Pray in Washington

It wasn’t your typical college weekend.

More than 2,200 Liberty University students and staff filled 44 buses traveling from Lynchburg, Virginia, to the nation’s capital for Prayer March 2020 on Saturday.

Neither exams nor the threat of COVID-19 prevented the energetic students—donning matching navy blue parkas—from coming to pray along the 1.8-mile route.

“Franklin Graham came to us at Liberty like a week ago, and I was pretty inspired by his heart for the Lord,” said Anna Pyron, a 19-year-old sophomore.

Rebuffed by Vatican, Pompeo Assails China and Aligns
    With Pope’s Critics
Pope Francis declined to see Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who is demanding a harder Vatican line on China. The Holy See said meeting just before a U.S. election would be inappropriate.
By Jason Horowitz and Lara Jakes
    Sept. 30, 2020, 7:26 p.m. ET

ROME — Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently published a sharp letter excoriating the Vatican’s plans to renew an agreement with the Chinese government on Church operations in China. He promoted the article in a tweet, concluding, “The Vatican endangers its moral authority, should it renew the deal.”

An indignant Vatican took the article more as a calculated affront than a diplomatic gesture. The friction broke into the open on Wednesday as Mr. Pompeo arrived in Rome and met with prelates and others who are hostile to Pope Francis, while the Vatican denied him a meeting with the pontiff and rebuffed his efforts to derail the deal with China.

“Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,” Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who, as secretary of state, is the Vatican’s second-ranking official, told reporters.

But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mr. Pompeo’s visit is as much about the coming presidential election as about China policy. Mr. Pompeo dismissed that suggestion as absurd, but intended or not, his trip signals that President Trump is on the side of those conservative American Catholics who worry about the church’s direction under Francis and think he is soft on China.

Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism. In appealing to the Vatican’s support for religious freedom as a reason to drop its China agreement, Mr. Pompeo seemed to seek common ground, but in a way that upset the pope’s chief allies and delighted his chief critics.

Cardinal Parolin said Mr. Pompeo’s article had caused “surprise” at the Vatican, because this visit to Rome by the secretary and the meetings with high officials at the Holy See had already been in the works and would have been a “more opportune” forum for airing grievances. He added that Mr. Pompeo’s choice to publish in First Things, a conservative Christian magazine that has called Francis a failure as Pope, also mattered.

When does a Church become a playground?
When does a Church become a business?
When does a Church become political?
When does a Church become corrupt?
When does a Church become willfully blind?
When does a Church become controlled?

        1. Really, there is evidence that Pope Benedict XVI didn’t really resign…and bishops and priests have been openly questioning some of Bergoglio’s statements especially when what he posits is heretical.

It’s not like we haven’t survived bad popes over the centuries. This is just the first one in the digital age.

      1. While it is in Schism, people of faith who know their faith stay where we are. We know the truth, especially those of us who have felt the healing power of the Eucharist and what happens when you make a really good Confession. You can’t describe it.

Those who flee and fall away for earthly reasons…I need to find another Gospel passage.

      2. This is what I was thinking of in the wee hours of the morning. It is at the tale end of the passage all good Catholics know close to by heart due to a REALLY bad folk song from the 70s. Here though it suits the purpose. Christ goes through the whole part about being the Bread of Life, and those who come to Him shall not hunger. It is about Eucharist, Holy Communion, one of the Sacraments. The Sixth chapter of the Gospel According to St. John ends like this:

“[66] And he said: Therefore did I say to you, that no man can come to me, unless it be given him by my Father. [67] After this many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him. [68] Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? [69] And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. [70] And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God.

“[71] Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil? [72] Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve.”

Because the Orthodox Churches are still in Schism regardless of Apostolic Succession being intact, we have no choice but to stay. It will be resolved eventually, but we’re in for a rough ride until that happens.

  4. One fun fact — “Red October” is November 7th.

Czarist Russia used the Julian calendar — which did “leap days” every four years. As a result, it shifted against the solar year by about 11 minutes per year. In 1917, the year of the The Glorious October Revolution, most of the rest of the world used the Gregorian calendar, which made century years not divisible by 400 into ordinary years…..and the month of the revolution into November. Once the Soviets achieved power, they aligned their calendar with the majority of the world — which, at least, saved them the blessings of “Thermidor”.

At one point, it was scientifically determined that months should have 30 days, comprised of three decades of ten days. The costs for this transition would be easily covered by there being three weekends instead of four in each month.

The amount of energy and attention focused on this ridiculous nonsense in order to spite the normies who persisted in measuring time like everyone else in the world is a testament to virtue signaling writ large.

Some believe the protection of Agency is what matters most.
Some believe the declassification [public exposure of truth] and rebuilding of Agency is what matters most.
    Apply same to FBI.
    Apply same to State.

No credible human being believes any ‘agency’ matters more than the COUNTRY and the PEOPLE it was created to serve.

So for Gina Haspel’s sake, I hope she understands that with total clarity.

No professional can pretend not to know the incredible threat any ‘agency’ poses to the Republic if that agency serves its own interests instead of the interests of the People and the Country.

A government ‘agency’ is nothing. It was created with a stroke of a pen, and it can be eliminated and/or replaced with another stroke of the pen.

    The country cannot be replaced.

Any person who believes the ‘agency’ is more important — but most particularly anyone in leadership — has been corrupted so thoroughly that they are literally a rogue operator and a national security threat. They are traitors by definition and must be eliminated.

“Any attempt to buck the system, no matter severity of crime, and they will fight back [self-preservation].”

Exactly my point, if they protect themselves and the ‘agency’, “no matter the severity of crime”, they are lawless, they are rogue, they are RENEGADE, they are TRAITORS.

They are criminals who have turned the ‘agency’ into a criminal enterprise.

    Prevent public exposure of truth.

Because they’re going to the gas chamber, the electric chair, the gallows or the firing squad.

    And hopefully they know it.

Their disdain for the American People is no match for my disgust towards them.

Move them from the debit side of the ledger to the credit side while unleashing the economy.

        graph from:

The biggest restraint on economic growth is federal red tape

A bigger problem is that agencies have become arrogant with power and desensitized to the impact of their litany of “thou shalls” and “thou shall nots.” Martha Kent of OSHA once put the attitude of these bureaucrats succinctly: “As long as I’m regulating, I’m happy.” She said she “absolutely loves” putting out “a reg” and that she was “born to regulate.” This sounds like someone who is clueless about private industry. [Bureaucrats love nothing better than killing off another small business based on words from a USDA agent. – GC]

But who will stop bureaucrats like this who are drunk with power?

A new analysis by my colleague Jason Pye at Freedom Works finds that under Barack Obama there were well over 500 new regulations with costs to the economy of more than $100 million each. That means these imposed a minimum of $50 billion of cost to the economy. How many of these were overturned by a mostly Republican Congress? Exactly zero….

    1. Conviction of the murder or attempted murder of a LEO should be an automatic death penalty with sentence carried out as quickly as possible following an expedited appeals process that is adjudicated by a specialize court that deals exclusively with death penalty convictions.

Sentence cannot be commuted or pardoned by anyone, including the POTUS, and the conviction only overturned by court order. If overturned, it automatically triggers a mandated and required new trial.

Call it the Blue Lives Matter Act.

(Which is why I do NOT support the death penalty for rape–it would simply lead to nearly all rapes becoming rape-murders.)

Also I don’t think there’s any way to curtail POTUS’s pardon power without amending the US Constitution.

          Either way, it’s pretty extraordinary.

If it’s $57 per test, that doesn’t sound cheap to me. I have to use an online calculator for numbers that big, but if my mathculus is right, $57 x 150 million is $8,550,000,000 dollars.

And going the other way, if it’s only $57 for all 150 million tests, then each test costs 3.8e-7 each, whatever that means.

That’s what the online calculamator said, and I’m sticking to it 😁👍

    Present tense?

As if they possess some vestige of ‘moral authority’ which might, somehow, be even further diminished?

” “Pompeo asked to meet” the pope, who turned him down because Francis had “clearly said that he does not receive political figures ahead of the elections,””

But he is receiving images of Jesus hanging on a ‘hammer & sickle’ cross from Communists 👍

And wears one on his chest, like he’s the ‘Mr. T’ of Communism:

“But to some observers on both sides of the tensions between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration,”

It’s not possible for there to be ‘tension’ between an institution and a person.

Tension is only possible between humans, between individuals within an institution, and a person.

They are always engaging in a sort of ‘transference’, trying to pretend like men are not running the institution, as if the institution is a sentient entity unto itself, and the men who run it are somehow just along for the ride.

“Francis and Mr. Trump, who have exchanged sharp words in the past, present starkly different visions on issues ranging from the environment to immigration to the threat of populism.”

What business is it for the head of a religious organization to have a ‘vision’ on the environment?

    Or on immigration?

Since when is ‘populism’ a threat, and to whom?

Populism is no threat to the People, that’s for sure.

“Populism refers to a range of political stances that emphasise the idea of “the people” and often juxtapose this group against “the elite”. ” — Wiki

If populism is a threat to the ‘elite’, and the Vatican leadership sees ‘populism’ as a threat, then what does that make the Vatican leadership?

“He added that Mr. Pompeo’s choice to publish in First Things, a conservative Christian magazine that has called Francis a failure as Pope, also mattered.”

So it’s about carnal pride then?

Which of the seven deadly sins is that… the foremost?

Okay, how far ahead? two months? three?

And what’s the point of this policy — to not appear to favor one side over the other? Yet, Christians are called to take sides in this world, to be the salt of the earth, to be hated by the enemies of God. Meeting the American secretary of state about China hardly amounts to an endorsement of a political candidate.

And I agree wholeheartedly that the Almighty was not happy with Benedict (apparently) stepping down, and most assuredly not happy with a “Liberation Theology” Cardinal being elevated, by whatever means (somehow I see Satan Soros in the background there…)….

    2. This is actually probably at the root of it.

As a Jesuit, Bergoglio really should not be sitting on the Papal Throne. They were always supposed to be servants.

And I think Archbishop VIgano has a point that the reconstitution of the Society of Jesus after it was suppressed at the end of the 18th century was probably a REALLY not well thought out idea.

Then, between about three and five in the afternoon, it got worse. I’m on a middle corner of a street that is three blocks long — and I could barely see the ends of the streets — and there were visible wisps blowing through.

  14. Politico has an article on Parscale. The wife is now claiming he “was not violent towards her,” despite what police are saying she told them.

“The Parscales have told people they are suffering from ongoing distress over the loss of their twin children in 2016, both of whom died prematurely. They have also complained about the scrutiny surrounding Parscale’s tenure as campaign manager.

“The couple said in a joint statement Wednesday: ‘We extend our thanks for everyone’s thoughts and support during this difficult time for our family and we eagerly await all of the facts emerging.’”

    1. Sounds like either Parscale has let her know that if the domestic violence rap goes forward, it’s over, OR she figures the same, and is backing off the claims. In either case, the claims could be true or false.

        1. Agreed.

If not in actual net debt, and if allegations of corruption are untrue, I am betting they could consolidate to a slower and healthier lifestyle.

Brad needs to take care of himself now. Get strong, get better. If the wife can be part of that, great. If not, HEAVE HO. He needs to take care of his oxygen mask first.

    1. Remember China’s ‘One Child Policy?’ Since male children are more favored than female — a man takes care of his parents jn their old age NOT the woman — China has an EXCESS male population.

    2. Study Links Nike, Adidas And Apple To Forced Uighur Labor

…The report estimates that more than 80,000 Uighurs were transferred to work in factories across China between 2017 and 2019. The period coincides with China’s campaign of mass internment of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang, which the government says is needed to root out terrorism and separatism. Some Uighurs have allegedly been placed in these factories straight from the internment camps in Xinjiang, where experts estimate more than 1.5 million members of ethnic minorities are being held….

China is reportedly sending men to sleep in the same beds as Uighur Muslim women while their husbands are in prison camps

    * China’s Communist Party is waging a hardline campaign against the Uighur ethnic minority, which has seen more than 1 million people detained in prison camps.

    * Authorities have since 2017 been sending men to live with Uighur women, many of whose husbands had been sent to prison camps….

Tibet ‘slips out’ of India’s hands; it’s advantage China on the border

In this game of thrones, China seems to be gaining over India. One key pawn that New Delhi historically used as leverage, Tibet, seems to be missing from the equation now

….After 1959, when Chinese troops occupied Tibet and the Dalai Lama fled to India along with thousands of fellow-Tibetans, the rulers in Beijing realised that this could be used by New Delhi to its advantage. This, notwithstanding the fact that India had already recognised Tibet as being part of China in 1950.

At the time, India and China were almost similar in terms of their population, economic status and military prowess….

For China, holding on to Tibet after occupying it in 1950 was a huge challenge as there was massive resistance from the local populace. In 1954, there was the Kanting revolt involving 40,000 Tibetans. In the four years until 1958, thousands of Chinese troops were killed by Tibetan guerrillas, until Beijing sent in more troops a year later and fought off the resistance….

Without much fanfare, China has discreetly gone about scotching the resistance out of Tibet, populating it with the mainland Chinese to a point where the demographics in the region were altered in its favour. According to the Unrepresented Nations & Peoples Organisation (UNPO), there are six million ethnic Tibetans and 7.5 million Chinese in the Tibetan region.

Beijing has also poured large amounts of money, injected industrialisation and educational facilities into Tibet with the result that the region today has almost been mainstreamed with the rest of China, a process called Sinicization.….

Was the SINICIZATION of Tibet actually accomplished by the same method now being used on the Uighurs??

Move the men into forced labor camps and more Han Chinese men into the homes of the women?

China 2020 population is estimated at 1,439,323,776 people at mid year according to UN equivalent to 18.47% of the total world population. 91.51% of the population was Han Chinese, and 8.49% were minorities.

In 2018, there were about 713 million male inhabitants and 682 million female inhabitants living in China. Also because of ‘status’ Highly educated women often do not marry because the men prefer lower status women as mates.

“25% of men never marry. And even though there are vastly more men that women, 16% of women never marry. “

“Even if men can afford to marry and find housing, wives are difficult to find.

Young men cannot create families and never marry, to to cut suicides and provide employment, a very high number go into the military.” [Where they may be posted in the home of troublesome minorities perhaps???]

Bluewater started manufacturing the first American-made kernmantle caving rope in 1969. Some of the experimental stuff was NASTY, I got ‘roped’ into being one of the guinea pigs. However the present no stretch, no spin Bluewater would be the PURRRRrrrfect choice.

With all the legalized marijuana-growing going on now…you’d think that there would be some Hemp Rope manufacturing going on too.

        Maybe there is, I dunno.

        It’s apparently good for that.

  16. Q post 4799

When does a Church become a playground?

When the leadership is accountable to no one but themselves, untouchable, the same as any other institution.

When does a Church become a business?

When it takes or makes money in ways other than the way that is Authorized, i.e., other than free-will offering given by members to the local congregation of which the giver is a member.

When does a Church become political?

When it does things in the Name of Christ for which God gave no Authorization in His Word. In that case, they are pursuing the agendas of men, not God, and the agendas of men are ‘political’, by definition.

When does a Church become corrupt?

When it becomes unfaithful — when it defies God’s Word, when it ignores God’s Word, when it does things without the Authority of God’s Word.

When does a Church become willfully blind?

When the leadership has to pretend to forget that it knows certain things (like God’s Word), in order to continue doing whatever the human leadership wants to do.

When the human leadership knowingly defies God’s Word in pursuit of their own interests, doctrines or agendas.

When the preservation of the institution, regardless of the corruption within it, is more important than the purpose for which the institution was created.

When does a Church become controlled?

When the leadership is compromised (or infiltrated).

However, and importantly, in God’s plan for His church as given in Scripture, no congregation has any Authority or control over any other; each congregation is independent and autonomous, under the Authority of Christ.

So if the leadership of a congregation is compromised, it only affects that one congregation, the corruption is isolated, it does not affect any others. If correction is not made, the congregation with compromised leadership becomes apostate, but the larger ‘body’ (the church, the other congregations) remains intact, uncompromised, whole, and faithful.

This is a fundamental difference between most churches, and the example and pattern for the Lord’s church given in Scripture.

The pattern and example for the Lord’s church in Scripture is a network of autonomous ‘cells’, and if one ‘cell’ is compromised or destroyed, the others carry on unaffected. It is not a ‘pyramid’ structure with one man (or congregation) at the top controlling all the others beneath it.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The obvious danger of a ‘pyramid’ structure (obvious to God, if not to man) is that when (not if) the man (or congregation) at the top of a ‘pyramid’ structure organization becomes corrupted, any and all congregations under his/its control are similarly compromised.

God’s pattern and example for His church in Scripture eliminates the possibility that any one man or congregation could corrupt the whole body of the church.

The ‘pyramid’ pattern of most churches essentially guarantees the entire body will become compromised, due to the inevitable eventual compromise of leadership at the top, usually in some far away place, which exercises authority over all congregations below them.

    1. The ChiComs are in the process of rewriting the Bible.

They are just using the Pope to give credence to their perversion of the Bible.

Pope Francis has to know that this is what the CCP is doing.
So he is willfully lending himself to their scheme.

And if your goal was to tear the Church apart…would you be doing anything differently than what Francis is doing?

    2. If the pattern for the Lord’s church had been a ‘pyramid’ structure with one man or congregation at the top ruling over all others, it would have been a simple thing for the Roman Empire to wipe them out, by going after the leadership, and eliminating them.

Like they would do to any other challenge to their power or authority.

The independent, autonomous pattern of the Lord’s church made it impossible to cut any human ‘head’ off the church, thereby destroying it.

If they stamped out one congregation ‘over here’, five others sprang up ‘over there’. It can’t be stopped, ‘house churches’ (congregations which met in peoples’ homes) could be anywhere, and were everywhere.

Unlike a ‘pyramid’ organization, with one man at the top, in a fixed location.

    3. WELL – Francis’ Vatican sure does have a political agenda – and it is a radical left political agenda for sure.

Francis embraced ALL of Obama’s and the leftists agendas –
      – Global warming – Climate Change
      – Communism – he called Capitalism dung.
      – Islam and other faiths as paths to salvation
      – supports Palestinians – condemns Israel
      – supports Iran deal
      – Homosexuality
      – Open borders, mass immigration

Francis might as we have been Obama’s press secretary.

Francis has ignored Scripture and neglected the ONE TRUE GOSPEL OF FAITH, the Gospel of REDEMPTION – REBIRTH – TRANSFORMATION – NEW IDENTITY AND NEW LIFE IN JESUS CHRIST!!!

      I miss Benedict!

      1. “– Islam and other faiths as paths to salvation”

How is that not heresy AND blasphemy?

        Definition of blasphemy:
1a : the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God

So God sent his only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins, so that we might have salvation, and Bergoglio casts that sacrifice aside, and publicly teaches that Christ’s death on the cross was unnecessary, that everyone can be saved their own way, by whatever they choose to believe?

What is that called, the doctrine of Whatever Floats Your Boat?

        Definition of heresy:

1a : adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma (see dogma sense 2) They were accused of heresy.
b : denial of a revealed truth by a baptized member of the Roman Catholic Church
c : an opinion or doctrine contrary to church dogma

2a : dissent or deviation from a dominant theory, opinion, or practice To disagree with the party leadership was heresy.
b : an opinion, doctrine, or practice contrary to the truth or to generally accepted beliefs or standards our democratic heresy which holds that … truth is to be found by majority vote— M. W. Straight

So Bergoglio denies that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, that no one comes to the Father but by Him (cf. John 14:6, KJV), calling God a liar, and says you can be saved by following after the mass-murdering pedophile who invented islam, i.e., the Charles Manson and Jeffrey Epstein of religion?

And yet nothing happens to him, he is not removed, defrocked, repudiated, there is no accountability.

        Nothing to see here, folks…

        2. “Seamless garment, intruduced to the world by the big time snake in the grass the late Joseph Bernardin who was Archbishop of Chicago when he died.”

Okay, I found what appears to be the ‘Doctrine of the Seamless Garment’ by Joseph Bernardin, but I haven’t read it yet.

I just did a quick word search, out of habit, to confirm the following, because from experience, I anticipated that certain words would not be found:

          1) “Christ” is found nowhere in it
          2) “Lord” is found nowhere in it
          3) “Savior” is found nowhere in it
          4) “Son of God” is found nowhere in it
          5) “God’s Word” is not mentioned a single time
          6) “Word of God” is not mentioned a single time
          7) the “Bible” is not mentioned a single time
          8) “Matthew”, “Mark” or “Luke” are not mentioned a single time

“John” is mentioned three times… but not any ‘John’ in Scripture. Father John Gannon is mentioned once, and Pope John Paul twice.

The other ‘John’ struck out. Peter and Paul, too.

I can’t even imagine standing before a group of people, to talk about matters having to do with God and Christ and His church, and not even mention anything about God, or Christ, or His church.

It’s really incredible. For most people, it would be a real challenge to give an entire presentation about matters having to do with God, without referencing God, and Christ, and His church. You’d have to work at it. It would be an exercise in linguistic gymnastics, to talk all around it.

At least he’s open about it though, God has practically nothing to do with it.

The word “God” does actually put in an appearance, twice.

Once in reference to the title of some other document written by men called “The Challenge of Peace: God’s Promise and Our Response”, and again in the very last sentence, “I submit that a clear witness to a consistent ethic of life will allow us to grasp the opportunity of this “open moment” and serve both the sacredness of every human life and the God of Life who is the origin and support of our common humanity.”

If he’s not careful, someone might mistake him for a member of the Church that Won’t Mention Christ…
