Here’s a blast from the past:

Public Service Message

It has been pointed out that all of the rioting is nominally on account of criminals who resisted arrest in one form or another, and someone suggested schools ought to teach people not to resist arrest.

Chris Rock on a similar vein, in 2007

Granted an “ass kicking” isn’t the same as being shot, but both can result from the same stupid act. You may ultimately beat the rap, but you aren’t going to avoid the ride.

A Reminder Of Today’s Big Issue.

Our movement is about replacing a failed and corrupt political establishment with a new government controlled by you, the American People...Our campaign represents a true existential threat, like they’ve never seen before.

Then-Candidate Donald J. Trump

Needs to happen, soon.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

Please note that our menu has changed, please listen to all of the options.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Political correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. The first rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government take your guns.
5. The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
9. Social Justice Warriors, ANTIFA pukes, BLM hypocrites, and other assorted varieties of Marxists can go copulate with themselves, or if insufficiently limber, may substitute a rusty wire brush suitable for cleaning the bore of a twelve or ten gauge.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

Coin of The Day

The Wooden Nickel.

No, there was never a wooden nickel–except possibly issued by shops as a “good for five cents in trade” token.

But we do have that old advice to not take any wooden nickels and it’s sound advice.

A lot of people, fourteen days ago, were speculating that Big Things were going to happen over the next thirteen days. I more than half expected it to be baloney, but went along with it, primarily to keep it fresh in people’s minds.

(And because Darwin is cute.)

The thirteen days have passed, and what has happened? RBG has died. And maybe someone is actually going to do something about Hunter Biden…and then again maybe not. Congressional investigations generally turn out to be kabuki theater. Even if someone gets referred to DOJ for prosecution, nothing ever seems to come of it. Look at McCabe, for crying out loud.

In other words, the heat has been turned up a little on the Deep State, but hardly a spectacular, earth-shaking thirteen days.

This all stemmed from ONE person on the internet speculating about what it meant that someone on Durham’s team had quit. And it turned out to be nothing.

I see us doing this a LOT, to be honest, and I’ve been caught myself.

We are rightly skeptical of anything the other side puts out.

But we really need to be cautious about what people who are (or at least appear to be) on our side are putting out too. They could be “controlled opposition.” They could just be self-aggrandizing assholes trying to look smarter than they are (I won’t name names here but there’s a very well known pair of initials). Or they could just have over-active imaginations.

Even people I’ve been told are “reliable” and I shouldn’t label as “just Someone On The Internet” have made statements, pronouncements and predictions that have simply come to nothing.

Look at everything you are told with a critical eye, especially the stuff you are hoping is true.

Obligatory PSA/Reminder

Just one more thing, my standard Public Service Announcement. We don’t want to forget this!!!

Remember Hong Kong!!! And remember the tens of millions who died under the “Great Helmsman” Chairman Mao.

I hope this guy isn’t rotting in the laogai somewhere!

中国是个混蛋 !!!
Zhōngguò shì gè hùndàn !!!
China is asshoe !!!

For my money the Great Helmsman is Hikaru Sulu (even if the actor is a dingbat).

        1. A lot of the grief Kavanaugh went through was because RINO Senators were complicit in the anti-Trump coup. If the turtle had any smarts, he’d blow this through in short order and get back to arguing about angels dancing on the heads of pins. As in Monday before tiffin…..and we have tiffin pretty early in these parts.

            1. It has already started, the ugly, vicious comments by the Democrat operatives. I think Mitch, et al will allow it to go on just long enough for the public to see the depth of their depravity and then will do the nuclear option. In your face, Harry Reid!

        2. How would they ‘go after’ a female nominee?

They can’t falsely accuse her of rape, or any sexual indiscretion of any kind, without the entire planet coming down on any would-be accusers for maligning a member of the protected class.

The Left gets away with it in lots of lower visibility situations, but not with the national spotlight focused on them.

And it’s highly unlikely that she has ever dressed up in blackface, as so many Leftists at home and abroad seem to enjoy.

So it will be curious to see how they deal with a female nominee.

I don’t think they’ll be able to do much, if anything.

It’s only the ‘white man’ who is the Left’s object of perpetual hatred.

Without a ‘white man’ nominee to attack, they would need to attack a member of their own identity-politics constituency, and that has backfire written all over it.

It’s true that they went after Clarence Thomas, but he is a man so they can attack him for sexual impropriety, and the Left always has the well-worn ‘Uncle Tom’ narrative to deal with black conservatives.

Unless I am mistaken, white women make up the single largest voting block in the democrat party.

The lunatic Left will need to tread very carefully, and they don’t do ‘carefully’ — and they know it.

If the nominee presents no obvious avenue of attack, then what can the Left possibly do to her, that won’t blow up in their own faces?

            1. When they start that – I hope she answers – “I adopted these orphan children to save them from becoming victims of traffickers and predators.”

When Jesse and Amy Barrett adopted their first child from Haiti c. 2004
              – Did they know about the child sex traffickers and the blood/tissue/organ harvesting mills in 3rd world countries in Haiti, Bali, Russia, China, Malaysia and other barbaric 3rd world countries? LINK
              – Did they know about Planned Parenthood and other Abortion facilities practices of infant blood, organ and tissue marketing?

              – 1984 – ROCK HUDSON got his HIV in a child trafficking park in Haiti.
              – 2009 – Catholic Bishop Lahey was caught in Nova Scotia, slipping back into the USA from Bali, a known child trafficking destination with a laptop full of vile child porn.
              – 2010 – Earthquake Haiti – billions donated were absconded with by the Clintons.

There have been many more cases interdicted by ICE and other US enforcement agencies linked to 3rd world child trafficking – and – President Trump and his trusted people know about all of these and has vowed to stop them.

              1. That was the rumor then – some have denied, disputed, etc. Many child/teen predators were infected from travel to 3rd world child trafficking tourist destinations.

            2. “the adopted Haitian kids.”

Well that’s certainly an unusual thing, not the kind of thing most Americans can relate to, but it’s the kind of thing apparently lots of movie stars and pop tarts relate to, seems like they’re always adopting children from Africa and Haiti.

It could be good, it could be wonderful, but it’s definitely not normal. Sort of like Chief Injustice Roberts adopting children from Ireland, through some broker in South America. What’s going on with the judges in our political-class, that they either can’t or don’t want to adopt American children?

              It’s a fair question, isn’t it?

Most people wouldn’t have the first clue how to even go about adopting children from a foreign land. What is going on inside the political and entertainment circles, where adopting children from foreign lands has become practically de rigueur? It’s not like going to Big-Box for a new pair of shoes (I hope).

The questions it always raises are at least twofold:

              1) what’s wrong with adopting an American child? What, there aren’t enough orphaned American children who need a loving family to go around? Does anyone actually have to go outside the country to find a child in need?

And if not, they why do it? Is it a virtue signal? Is it trendy? What? Because it’s certainly not a common thing, and those are certainly not unreasonable questions, they are exactly the kind of questions anyone would ask.

              2) any time white people do interracial things, like adopting black children, when there are plenty of white children who need a loving family, it is a natural thing to wonder why. And in a hyper-racial environment, it’s even harder to give the benefit of the doubt that the reason is organic or natural, rather than virtue-signalling or political.

That doesn’t mean it is, but the question is certainly there, given the hyper-political environment in which we live.

What is going on in her head, and how is that going to impact her interpretation of the Constitution?

We’ll never know the true answers to those questions from any hearing, the best we can do is try to avoid nominees who raise such questions in the first place.

              And it’s too late now.

If there is any group that is being systematically and institutionally marginalized and attacked daily, it’s not blacks, it’s not Hispanics, it’s not Asians. It’s certainly not muzzies or homosexuals.

              It’s white people.

              Men particularly, but women too.

White culture, white history, white tradition, “white” anything is a “fire at will” target.

Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, women, homosexuals, muzzies, Commies, they all have representation out the wazoo, with great pride and fanfare. It’s so lopsided, there is so much advantage to being a member of a protected class in America, that we have men and boys who want to become women and whites who pretend like they’re black (e.g., Rachael Dolezal, Shaun King) if they can get away with it.

But who is representing white people? Nobody.

Who is representing white culture, white tradition, white history?

POTUS can’t even talk about white people directly. He had ‘black leaders’ and ‘Hispanic leaders’ and other identity groups in the Oval Office all the time, handing out favors and signing legislation on their behalf.

Where are the ‘white leaders’? Where are the people representing ‘white’ interests? We’re the invisible constituency. Even though we’re the large majority at every rally he holds, and by far his largest voting block. Even he can’t acknowledge us. Not openly, not as ‘white people’.

As if it is a shameful thing to be white.

So when a white politician (or judicial nominee) has gone out of their way to overlook white orphan children, in order to adopt children from another nation and another race, that doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence that such a person is committed to standing up for the (supposed) equal rights of white people.

I have no doubt whatsoever about Amy’s commitment to blacks, to black rights, to black opportunity, to black empowerment, to black access, to black education, to black everything. She adopted black kids, so her bona-fides are unquestionable. The black protected-class has another iron-cad advocate (as if another was needed). No doubt her children will have every advantage conceivable, because she will make sure of it.

That’s great for her kids. What about ours? It sure would be great if white people had anyone fighting for us like that.

Because that is what it comes down to, ultimately, and it is naive to think otherwise. Who is fighting for the things white people believe in and care about? If you are a white American, the answer to that question is “nobody”.

Black pride, Hispanic pride, homosexual pride, islamic extremism, they’re all glorified and applauded. But if anyone dares to be proud to be white, if anyone openly supports or extols the history or values or traditions or culture of white people, they’re gang-tackled and shouted down as racists and mass-murderers.

That is EXACTLY what happens when a group, no matter how small OR large, has ZERO representation, has NOBODY standing up for their interests.

The whole reason we have “representative” government is so that everyone has a voice.

And white people are the ONLY group that has no voice, where nobody has our back.

Everyone supports black people. It’s extremely virtuous to do so, everybody’s doing it, and you will be applauded at all the best parties by all the right people when you do.

Everyone supports Asians and Hispanics for the same reason. It’s trendy and popular and most of all it’s culturally Marxist politically-correct, which means economic viability.

But if anyone does the exact same thing with regard to the interests and values and beliefs of white people, the opposite happens, because that is decidedly not ‘trendy’ and it’s not ‘popular’. You are ostracized, labelled a racist and cut off financially.

So nobody openly supports WHITE people.

If every other group is noble and worthy of public support and praise from every corner, why aren’t white people?

What the *&^% did white people do, to justify being treated as 5th class citizens in their own country, practically ‘unmentionables’ — besides being born with less pigment in their skin?

So I am not particularly enthused to find out she overlooked homeless orphaned American white children in order to adopt children from some other country.

I will support her nomination because, like always, I really don’t have any other choice.

And I will hope for the best.

But I won’t be surprised if she turns out to be another complete disaster for America.

Like every female (not)Supreme Court (in)justice before her.

and then there’s her stance on the covid issues…huge thumbs down there, too.
and…she looks way too much like a Bush(!)

          2. If the last decade has taught us anything, it is to never underestimate the power of liberal hypocrites to outdo themselves and reach levels of moral depravity long thought dead in the civilized world.

I would not be surprised at all if they level accusations of child trafficking and Satan worship against her…

…in other words, accuse her of what they themselves are guilty of. In fact, this is a liberal specialty and favorite tactic. (See: Kavanaugh & Harvey Weinstein)

I have no doubt they would be willing to do so, if it served their interests.

But if I was DJT, I would be praying they ‘go there’, because it would give him the biggest excuse in the world to counter-punch with the HAMMER of truth, and expose who the REAL Satanists and the REAL pedophiles are.

It’s one thing for the Left to play that game when the occupant of the WH is one of their own stooges.

It’s a completely different game, when the occupant of the WH is Donald J. Trump.

ChiDiFi did when ACB was being vetted for her present judgeship.

Nanzi, even tho the House has no vote in this matter, has stated it is okay to attack a nominee’s faith.

The base is as I hit the keys, attacking her faith.

I am waiting for POTUS to announce… but the DIMS are already focused on and attacking ACB.

            1. Yup, her religion and lying about it. Here’s an article from the DM.

Amy Coney Barrett and her husband Jesse are members of People of Praise, a small group that teaches that wives have to obey their husbands in everything.

Barrett, 48, concealed her membership from what has been described as a ‘Big Brother’ religious group from senators when she was before the Justice Committee in 2017.

Why would she conceal it in the first place?

If we believe something, don’t hide it, STAND for it!

There was a time not very long ago when nearly everyone taught that wives should obey their husbands. How can that possibly be controversial, except in the backwash of the 60s counterculture movement, which it turns out wasn’t really counterculture at all, it was a Marxist subversion?

It is so easy to defend one’s beliefs, if one actually believes them.

And whether or not we actually believe them must (if we are honest with ourselves) ultimately be determined by whether our beliefs are of God and His Word, or if they are the words of men.

I believe wives should obey their husbands. I am not ashamed of that because I am not ashamed of God’s Word. I would not try to hide it, it’s an opportunity to open other peoples’ eyes.

It’s both logical and a matter of Scriptural teaching.

And both are easy to explain.

A marriage is not a democracy, because by definition a marriage is TWO people. If marriage was a democracy, they could just vote against each other all the time, and the relationship (and their lives) would be perpetually deadlocked.

                It doesn’t work.

Someone has to lead. Ultimately, someone has to make a decision, if agreement cannot be reached. Absent any religious conviction one way or the other, certainly there is as good (or better) reason for the Man to make the final decision rather than the Woman.

For one thing, it has historically always been so. We can debate why that has always been historically so, but anytime one seeks to overthrow thousands of years of natural order, one can be absolutely certain they are standing on shaky ground. Because there is no new thing under the sun, the nature and character of Man hasn’t suddenly changed circa 1969 AD and since, so whatever it is that causes such a radical change to suddenly manifest must automatically be suspect.

Because it is the height of human arrogance to believe we know better than all of Mankind who came before us. So if we’re going to do some ‘new’ thing, that runs counter to nature and all of human history, we better have a &$^# good reason that can withstand every kind of scrutiny conceivable.

And we certainly did NOT do that, when Helen Reddy roared, and Bobby Riggs participated in a set-up with Billy Jean King. Everybody just buried their heads in the sand or ran away.

In a relationship between two people, ultimately someone has to lead. That doesn’t mean anyone should ever be a dictator. We should be thoughtful and circumspect and give great weight and value and consideration to what our spouse thinks and why.

And hopefully, most of the time, a mutually agreeable solution can be found.

But sometimes, at least occasionally, that may not be possible. In that circumstance, SOMEONE has to make a decision, SOMEONE has to lead.

The natural role for the Man is to lead. That is true historically, throughout human history, and it is likewise true Scripturally.

So let’s look at that next.

Who did God create first, Man or Woman?

                Answer: Man. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7).

Who decided that it was not good for Man to be alone?

                Answer: God (Genesis 2:18).

Who decided to create a helper (help meet) for Man?

                Answer: God (Genesis 2:18)

What is Man’s ‘help meet’ called?

                Answer: Woman (Genesis 2:23)

Answer: She is called Woman because she was taken out of Man. (Genesis 2:23)

There are plenty of other passages about the roles given for males and females. This first one directly references the verses cited above:

“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [13]
For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.” (1 Timothy 2:12-14, KJV, boldface emphasis mine)

“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;” (1 Peter 3:1, KJV)

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. [23] For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. [24] Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. [25] Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” (Ephesians 5:22-25, boldface emphasis mine)

So this is a simple matter.

Logically, historically, Biblically, the wife, the help-meet, should obey their husbands. It is the height of perversity to try to warp that into a ‘bad’ thing.

And if Chrissy Wallace, or Jim Acosta, or Rachael Madcow, or Nanzi Pelosi, or any other fake news narcissist or ‘debate’ moderator or Senator confronted me about my belief, I would say exactly what I said above.

If Chrissy or Jimmy or Nanzi think otherwise, their argument is with the whole of human history, and their argument is with God and His Word, not with me.

What more would you have to say?

And how could they possibly attack you for being ‘wrong’, if you are standing on thousands of years of human history and the plain language of the Word of God?

Drop it right in the lap, like a hand grenade, and let them deal with it.

That is how to handle any challenge from a cultural Marxist to one’s traditional and Christian beliefs.

                It couldn’t be easier.

But you have to believe it, and you have to be able to articulate it.

If you can do that — and certainly Amy Barrett is intellectually capable of much more than that — then do it, and rest your case.

Their argument is not with you, their argument is with thousands of years of human history, their argument is with basic logic, and ultimately their argument is with God.

            2. “Nanzi, even tho the House has no vote in this matter, has stated it is okay to attack a nominee’s faith.”

That is actually good, for the very simple reason that either one’s faith (belief) can withstand scrutiny, or it can’t.

              islam can’t.

              Communism can’t.

              Socialism can’t.

Christianity can, IF — and it’s a giant caveat — the belief(s) in question are clearly articulated in the Bible.

Nobody has ever yet defeated God’s Word, if the believer will simply stand on it.

But if the belief(s) are of men, if they are the doctrines, commandments or traditions of men, then scrutiny will surely find them out, because they cannot be found in God’s Word.

And they should be found out.

Because if they are doctrines, traditions or commandments of Men, they are not of God, they are of Men — and they are without authority or defense.

What could be more honest or truthful than that?

Welcome every challenge to one’s faith.

Test what we believe against what God’s Word actually says.

If the belief is true according to God’s Word, it will stand.

And if the belief is not true according to God’s Word, then why would any self-professing Christian continue to believe or practice it?

              It’s so simple.

It has always been that simple.

It is only Men who make it complicated.

The fact that Nanzi has said it is okay to attack someone’s faith is good, because that means it’s okay to attack any other ‘faith’ or ‘belief’ too, and determine whether it is true or false.

And that is good for everyone, if the objective is Truth.

There has already been speculation of Amy Coney Barrett as the nominee.

Do not forget she already has the weakness of belonging to a ‘fringe religious group’ and the adopted children. So the left is ALREADY viciously attacking.

Amy was confirmed October 31, 2017

            Joan Larsen November 1, 2017
            Allison H. Eid November 2, 2017

were confirmed just a few days later for appeals court slots too.
Larsen became a professor at the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. She clerked for David B. Sentelle of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court during the 1994 term. She is 51.

Eid served as a law clerk for Judge Jerry Edwin Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and then for Associate Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Donald Trump’s list of top Supreme Court picks includes Colorado justice

A Colorado Supreme Court justice was one of 11 potential nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court released Wednesday by Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump should he be elected.

Allison Eid was appointed to Colorado’s highest court in 2006 by then-Gov. Bill Owens, a Republican, who called her a premier legal scholar.

Prior to her appointment, Eid was the state’s Solicitor General to then-Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, also a Republican.

According to the Colorado Judicial Branch, at the time she joined Colorado’s Supreme Court, Eid was a tenured associate professor of law at the University of Colorado School of Law where she taught constitutional law, legislation and torts.

  2. You note: “And remember the tens of millions who died under the ‘Great Helmsman’ Chairman Mao.”

Amongst this group, I can assume that everyone knows about the Cultural Revolution, the Holocaust, the Holodomor*, and the Killing Fields. While Mao and Stalin died in bed, it is with some gratification that one contemplates Hitler’s demise in the bunker, or Comrade Duch dying in prison. It is widely seen as massive barbarity to kill one’s own citizens for political purposes — and the combination of ego, evil, and perceived invulnerability is repulsive to the civilized. The US stands firmly against such sociopaths.

Except when they’re Democrats. The only difference between Andrew Cuomo and Chairman Mao is one of degree — Mao is responsible for ten million deaths; Cuomo for ten thousand. The same is true of every “authority” that shoved the sick into facilities for the vulnerable. We are a tainted nation so long as these murderers walk free.

*I had a neighbor (he moved) who had grown up in Tito’s Yugoslavia. He was trying to educate his teenage niece about the real world not being covered at her school. I was just wandering around the neighborhood, so he flagged me over and said, “what do you know about Stalin’s famine in the Ukraine?”

I suspect that my reaction was exactly what he had hoped for to establish in his niece’s mind that there was knowledge not talked about to children — because it was very upsetting — but that adults should be expected to know.

    1. Just as a reminder of how horrific weaponized famine could be….there were known instances where a family would suffer the loss of the father to forced labor, the mother starved to where her milk failed, and unweaned babes would be killed and stewed to keep weaned children alive. The Holocaust was industrial death; the Holodomor was a nightmare.

You don’t tell children about it, but adults need to know.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Among all the democide estimates appearing in this book, some have been revised upward. I have changed that for Mao’s famine, 1958-1962, from zero to 38,000,000. And thus I have had to change the overall democide for the PRC (1928-1987) from 38,702,000 to 76,702,000. Details here.
I have changed my estimate for colonial democide from 870,000 to an additional 50,000,000. Details here.

        Thus, the new world total: old total 1900-1999 = 174,000,000. New World total = 174,000,000 + 38,000,000 (new for China) + 50,000,000 (new for Colonies) = 262,000,000.

Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5′, then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. Finally, given popular estimates of the dead in a major nuclear war, this total democide is as though such a war did occur, but with its dead spread over a century.
After eight-years and almost daily reading and recording of men, women, and children by the tens of millions being tortured or beaten to death, hung, shot, and buried alive, burned or starved to death, stabbed or chopped into pieces, and murdered in all the other ways creative and imaginative human beings can devise, I have never been so happy to conclude a project. I have not found it easy to read time and time again about the horrors innocent people have been forced to suffer. What has kept me at this was the belief, as preliminary research seemed to suggest, that there was a positive solution to all this killing and a clear course of political action and policy to end it. And the results verify this. The problem is Power. The solution is democracy. The course of action is to foster freedom.

It’s being studied as a drug for these condiditons.

Its mechanism of action is by targeting the chloride‐dependent channels of both glutamate and γ‐aminobutyric acid that interrupts neurotransmission in invertebrates (lower developed animals).

Safety: Ivermectin rarely provoked drug resistance, and most of the side effects were related to the release of antigen, not ivermectin itself. The good tolerance of ivermectin was even shown in children or infants. A total of 170 infants and children (weight < 15 kg) were treated with oral ivermectin, and only seven subjects were reported mild adverse events but not very serious.

Conclusion: The combination of ivermectin with other drugs might result in more favorable prognoses for patients with COVID‐19. For example, one study hypothesized that the combination of hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin might show a consequential and synergistic action for treatment of COVID‐19.

    2. From the paper…

Ōmura discovered a unique and extraordinary microorganism that could produce ivermectin in 1973 (Burg et al., 1979). Ivermectin was subsequently commercialized because it showed great safety and effectivity in human health. The current status of ivermectin was continuing to surprise and excite scientists (Laing, Gillan, & Devaney, 2017).

It was originally intended to be a broad‐spectrum antiparasitic agent, and treat onchocerciasis, strongyloidiasis, lymphatic filariasis, and scabies in veterinary and human medicine (Chabala et al., 1980). There was an outstanding advantage of ivermectin that no confirmed or increased drug resistance appears in parasites, even in those human populations who have been receiving ivermectin as a monotherapy for more than 30 years (van Wyk & Malan, 1988).

In terms of mechanism, the primary target of ivermectin is glutamate‐gated chloride channels (Abdeltawab et al., 2020). However, it was increasingly believed that ivermectin was closely related to the immune defense mechanism and acted like immunomodulatory agents to help suppress the parasite’s ability to evade the host’s immune (Schaller et al., 2017).

Today, the new use of ivermectin made it become a relatively unknown drug. Drug repurposing and repositioning has been shown to control a completely new range of diseases (Ashour, 2019). For example, orbital myiasis, trichinosis, malaria, leishmaniasis, African trypanosomiasis, asthma, epilepsy, neurological disease, antiviral (e.g., human immunodeficiency virus [HIV], dengue, encephalitis; Yang et al., 2020), antibacterial (tuberculosis and Buruli ulcer; Csóka et al., 2018), anticancer (breast cancer, leukemia, glioblastoma, cervical cancer, gastric cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, and lung cancer; Crump, 2017).

Multifaceted ‘wonder’ ivermectin may become an even more exceptional drug in the future. An international patent ‘Use of ivermectin and derivatives thereof’ caught people’s increasing attention to ivermectin those years. Ivermectin would be developed to use for metabolic‐related diseases (diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, insulin resistance, obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyperglycemia), Famesoid X receptor‐mediated diseases (atherosclerosis, nonalcohol fatty liver disease, cholestasia, and gallstones), inflammation, and cancer (Crump, 2017).

    1. We have a whole-house fan. Our normal daily heat cycle peaks at about 4:00 PM outside, after which it begins to cool. When the outside temperature is equal-to-or-better-than the outside temperature, we turn on the whole-house fan to flush out the stale air, kitchen experiments, cleaning supplies, etc. in favor of fresh air [we refer to this as “crossover”]. We generally leave it running all night.

With the immense wildfires this year, we’d cover everything inside in ash and have it smell like smoke if we pursued our normal behavior. So, we’ve been doing “crossover” only when conditions permit. When our house is buttoned-up, normal air circulation is handled through an electrostatic precipitator — which can actually pull smoke and ash out of the air regardless of particle size (unlike a standard filter).

It’s annoying as heck to discover this at 10:18 in the evening……but it’s much worse to discover when you wake.

At a table across the room, a woman wore gloves the entire times she ate and then immediately put her mask on. Another older couple came in wearing masks and kept them on until their food arrived even though the only person near them were each other. Of course, the tables were the magical 6’ so there was really no reason to keep the masks on…except the zombie effect. I would wager they all wore their masks in their cars afterwards, too!

the heat has been turned up a little on the Deep State, but hardly a spectacular, earth-shaking thirteen days.

    Au contraire.

When FBI agents have taken out professional liability insurance…a documented event, btw…to protect against civil liability because of their involvement with a gross miscarriage of justice…

    That is a bombshell.

In fact, just exactly the kind of explosive event that would trigger a political Tsar Bomba.

Readers will recall my Tsar Bomba analogy of how the exoneration of Flynn will lead to a Tsar Bomba in DC, and how nuclear explosions are themselves triggered by smaller (by comparison) explosions that trigger the big blast.

The text mssgs between FBI agents, released Sept. 23/24, are absolutely “spectacular and earth shaking”. They prove the corruption inside the FBI, so bad agents LITERALLY took out professional liability insurance policies.

There is no way to overstate how big this reveal is. It is the triggering mechanism for the case against Flynn to be dismissed, which itself is another trigger for an even bigger explosion…the corruption of the Mueller SC and all that was behind THAT.

Tsar Bomba has not gone off, but the explosive sequence for it’s detonation was just triggered, and it cannot be aborted now.

      1. Betting President Trump makes a few trips lends a hand to primary Lisa. Yes, Alaska is quite the journey in a President’s schedule. Perhaps include fueling pit stops in Alaska while traveling overseas.

          1. Yes. In 2022, President Trump will be in Alaska to primary Lisa. While I want Lisa gone, President Trump needs to focus here in the 48 for reelection.

Perhaps a night or early morning flight to Hawaii can be tossed in to stir up the natives in Hawaii. Aloha stadium, if it is still standing would be a great venue.

    1. About damn time they said vote pro life. Have never understood the Church being so silent on abortion, sanctity of life.

Admittedly I know little of the Church, but I did have nine years in Catholic schools. “Life” back in those days was to be protected. Yet, IMO, The Church’s virtual silence over the decades has tacitly endorsed abortion, by NOT condemning abortion and staunchly proclaiming “pro life”.

And it’s not just The Church, (Catholic), why are not all Christian religions raising hell over abortion and sanctity of life? Perhaps they are, but I surely missed it. Granted, I don’t look either.

Seemingly abortion is accepted as D-rats and depraved hollywierd insist on abortion.

      OK. Blast away.

  16. There are two significant events in DC today:
At noon, Franklin Graham’s Prayer March from the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol. Ironically, a week ago, the body of RBG, defender of abortion, lay in state at the Capitol. – Then, at 5PM in the Rose Garden, President Trump will nominate a new Supreme Court Justice, whom, conservative Christians hope will be the antithesis of RBG and the left’s barbaric, ungodly agendas.

3:15PM – President Trump participates in a greeting with Evangelical Faith Leaders – Oval Office – Closed Press

5:00PM – President Trump announces nominee for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States – Rose Garden

6:20PM – President Trump departs the White House en route to Joint Base Andrews – South Lawn

6:40PM – Departs Washington, D.C., en route to Middletown, PA

How #China’s Addiction to Coal Is Ravaging #Zimbabwe’s Environment

When wildlife monitors came across a group of #Chinese men drilling in Hwange National Park, they assumed they’d wandered into the park by accident.

Text of two more tweets in this thread:

“You can’t have coal mines in the middle of a national park,” Trevor Lane from Bhejane Trust told VICE News. “It would destroy the integrity of the park and it would destroy the tourism industry.”

But it was no mistake. The men produced permits that revealed that the government of President Emmerson Mnangagwa had granted coal mining rights to their company—Zhongxin Coal Mining Group & Afrochine Smelting—for large swaths of the country’s biggest national park.

    ……………….End text.

The ChiComs love to find corrupt leaders in other countries, who will be willing to sell out their countries.

They certainly found plenty of them here in the US.

  19. MULTIPLE sources – from Grennell to Gateway Pundit – have declared President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee will be Amy Coney Barrett.

ACB has a brilliant mind, a big heart, and she is a deep, penetrating legal thinker and scholar. She chose and was chosen to clerk for Scalia, who mentored many young law school graduates and future judges. No doubt, Barrett was recommended to Scalia by multiple stellar legal minds who observed and taught her. As a professor, ACB has proved to be an excellent and well-loved mentor to young lawyers. These qualities are what make an excellent and effective SCOTUS justice.

We remember what the vicious leftist harpies did to Kavanaugh and what they said the last time they questioned Barrett.

They cannot accuse her of rape or sexual impropriety – but they can accuse her of sexual intolerance of concupiscience.

They cannot accuse her of violating the constitution, but they can accuse her of not violating it the way they do.

They cannot accuse her of immorality, but they will focus on her generosity and dedication to motherhood, and they will likely focus on the legitimacy/validity of the Barrett’s Haiti adoptions as part of it. (Remember it is suspected Roberts is being blackmailed for irregular adoptions of their children)

When they start in on that – I hope Judge Barrett answers – “I adopted these orphan children to save them from becoming victims of traffickers and predators.”

    Dates to consider:
    – 1984 – *Rock Hudson announced he had AIDS-HIV. Hudson was one of the earliest cases in the US. Some have said HIV first came to the US from child trafficking in 3rd world countries that became pedophile tourist destinations – such as Haiti and Bali.
    – 2009 – Catholic Bishop Lahey was caught by a law officer in Nova Scotia, slipping back into the USA from Bali, a known child trafficking destination with a laptop full of vile child porn.
    – 2010 – Earthquake Haiti – billions donated were trusted to the Clintons and have disappeared like the billions that disappeared from the State Department under Hillary’s watch and like Ghaddafi’s gold.
    – Many cases of child trafficking and child p0rn, linked to 3rd world countries, have been interdicted by ICE and other US enforcement agencies.
    – President Trump and his trusted people know this and have vowed to stop it.

*Clarifying and correcting a comment I posted above.

      1. Nov 18, 2016 “Monica Petersen, a woman working on behalf of the Human Trafficking Center, died in Haiti while investigating a possible human trafficking ring tied to the Clinton Foundation. “

        Summary of eRumor:
Monica Petersen, a woman working on behalf of the Human Trafficking Center, died in Haiti while investigating a possible human trafficking ring tied to the Clinton Foundation.

        The Truth:
The Human Trafficking Center announced that Monica Petersen died in Haiti on November 13th; however, no cause of death was reported, and it’s not clear that Petersen was actually investigating a human trafficking ring involving the Clinton Foundation.
Those rumors began circulating on social media and Reddit shortly after the Human Trafficking Center announced on Facebook that Petersen had died in Haiti without providing further details about her death:

And we BELIEVE the media tells us the TRUTH??? 🤣🤣🤣

    1. Add to this list – Throughout the 2000s – James O’Keefe, Lila Rose and David Daleiden did extensive undercover work exposing Planned Parenthood abortion counseling practices and fetal organ/tissue marketing.

      1. Don’t leave this guy off the list. I heard him on late night radio show after he showed up in the U.S. He was supposed to be testifying to congress the next week. Never happened.

“Eberwein was a former Haitian government official who was expected to expose the extent of Clinton Foundation corruption and malpractice next week.

He has been found dead in Miami at the age of 50.

The circumstances surrounding Eberwein’s death are also nothing less than unpalatable. According to Miami-Dade’s medical examiner records supervisor, the official cause of death is “gunshot to the head.“ Eberwein’s death has been registered as “suicide” by the government. But not long before his death, he acknowledged that his life was in danger because he was outspoken on the criminal activities of the Clinton Foundation.

Eberwein was a fierce critic of the Clinton Foundation’s activities in the Caribbean island, where he served as director general of the government’s economic development agency, Fonds d’assistance économique et social, for three years. “The Clinton Foundation, they are criminals, they are thieves, they are liars, they are a disgrace,” Eberwein said at a protest outside the Clinton Foundation headquarters in Manhattan last year. Eberwein was due to appear on Tuesday before the Haitian Senate Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission where he was widely expected to testify that the Clinton Foundation misappropriated Haiti earthquake donations from international donors. But this “suicide” gets even more disturbing…”

        1. That is 1/3 of the TOTAL US population!

In 2018, there were 153.07 million people registered to vote in the United States and 157.9 in 2016.

Do not forget that Generation Z has a tendency to be CONSERVATIVE!

…Nonwhites will account for a third of eligible voters – their largest share ever – driven by long-term increases among certain groups, especially Hispanics. At the same time, one-in-ten eligible voters will be members of Generation Z, the Americans who will be between the ages 18 and 23 next year. That will occur as Millennials and all other older generations account for a smaller share of eligible voters than they did in 2016….

In 2020, nearly a quarter of the electorate (23%) will be ages 65 and older, the highest such share since at least 1970. This reflects not only the maturation of the large Baby Boom generation but also increased life expectancy among older Americans….

In 2020, Gen Z eligible voters are expected to be 55% white and 45% nonwhite, including 21% Hispanic, 14% black, and 4% Asian or Pacific Islander. By comparison, the Boomer and older electorate is projected to be about three-quarters white (74%). [Thanks Ted Kennedy, you son of a syphilitic camel!]

    1. The thing to remember, though, is that with religion, the point is always to leave the world behind and become more like God. In every one. The difference is in Christianity, the Father sent His Son, the Savior, to demonstrate how it should be done since the chosen race had lost its way.

And among those who remained as followers, we have even more examples of how to do it, how to live life and be closer to God.

If that makes us weird and counter-cultural, so be it.

    1. The Dems will probably try to make her recuse herself from a case about Haiti…because of her two adopted children.

So I hope she stands strong and tells them, “No”.

      1. Personally, I think the only reason for a SC justice to recuse is if it is a case upon which he/she ruled at an earlier date OR the justice is related to one of the parties. Keep in mind that there is no way to force a justice to recuse – it’s completely a personal decision.
