Governor DeSantis once again shows us why he will be our 46th President! He follows our President’s playbook to a tee. He understands that by standing up for your police against the Democrat Monster, Americans will absolutely approve.

On Monday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis introduced a set of guidelines that will frame a new set of laws within Florida called the “Combating Violence, Disorder and Looting and Law Enforcement Protection Act.” The Florida House and Senate will take up the bill as their first order of business.

The legal measures and penalties [Summary Here] are direct, straight forward, specific to the current situation and will immediately stop any civil disorder that would impede, impact or stop the domestic tranquility for Florida residents. This includes the use of RICO statutes to prosecute those who organize chaos.

As released, the basic elements of the new Florida law encompass the following:

New Criminal Offenses to Combat Rioting, Looting and Violence:

  1. Prohibition on Violent or Disorderly Assemblies: 3rd degree felony when 7 or more persons are involved in an assembly and cause damage to property or injury to other persons.
  2. Prohibition on Obstructing Roadways: 3rd degree felony to obstruct traffic during an unpermitted protest, demonstration or violent or disorderly assembly; driver is NOT liable for injury or death caused if fleeing for safety from a mob.
  3. Prohibition on Destroying or Toppling Monuments: 2nd degree felony to destroy public property during a violent or disorderly assembly.
  4. Prohibition on Harassment in Public Accommodations: 1st degree misdemeanor for a participant in a violent or disorderly assembly to harass or intimidate a person at a public accommodation, such as a restaurant.
  5. RICO Liability: RICO liability attaches to anyone who organizes or funds a violent or disorderly assembly.

Increased Penalties

  1. Mandatory Minimum Jail Sentence: Striking a law enforcement officer (including with a projectile) during a violent or disorderly assembly = 6 months mandatory minimum jail sentence.
  2. Offense Enhancements: Offense and/or sentence enhancements for: (1) throwing an object during a violent or disorderly assembly that strikes a civilian or law enforcement officer; (2) assault/battery of a law enforcement officer during a violent or disorderly assembly; and (3) participation in a violent or disorderly assembly by an individual from another state.

Citizen and Taxpayer Protection Measures

  1. No “Defund the Police” Permitted: Prohibits state grants or aid to any local government that slashes the budget for law enforcement services.
  2. Victim Compensation: Waives sovereign immunity to allow a victim of a crime related to a violent or disorderly assembly to sue local government for damages where the local government is grossly negligent in protecting persons and property.
  3. Government Employment/Benefits: Terminates state benefits and makes anyone ineligible for employment by state/local government if convicted of participating in a violent or disorderly assembly.
  4. Bail: No bond or bail until first appearance in court if charged with a crime related to participating in a violent or disorderly assembly; rebuttable presumption against bond or bail after first appearance.

“Protesting is a basic constitutional right of free speech, which I wholeheartedly support,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. “Violence, rioting, looting, and vandalism are illegal acts – not rights. Nothing else matters if you and your children aren’t safe. Crime is at a 48-year-low in the state of Florida and we intend to keep it that way. Criminals who destroy and tear down our communities and victimize others must be held accountable, through quick action and swift punishment. We are sending a message that we will not sit back and allow violence to run amuck, and we will arrest violent criminals, and those who loot, riot, and vandalize – guaranteed. I applaud Governor DeSantis’ initiative to ensure that the safety of Florida residents and visitors comes first.”“It’s my honor to stand in support with Governor DeSantis today,” said Florida Sheriffs Association President and Gilchrist County Sheriff Bobby Schultz. “I’m thankful Governor DeSantis is supplying public safety tools to help ensure that our communities and residents are protected.”

“On behalf of the Florida Police Chiefs Association and over 900 of Florida’s top law enforcement executives from across every region of the state, we thank Governor DeSantis for his strong leadership and dedication to maintaining public order and keeping the peace,” said Florida Police Chiefs Association President and Satellite Beach Police Department Chief Jeff Pearson. “The measures he put forth today are urgently needed to protect the lives and property of every Floridian.”

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd brought visual aids to help the assembled press pool with their reporting.

The number of children that have been saved because of our President’s commitment to human trafficking is absolutely one of his biggest accomplishments that he won’t get recognition for.

The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 enhanced the U.S. Marshals’ authority to assist federal, state, and local law enforcement with the recovery of missing, endangered, trafficked or abducted children, regardless of whether a fugitive or sex offender was involved. The U.S. Marshals Service established a Missing Child Unit to oversee and manage the implementation of its enhanced authority under the act.

Our President, former AG Jeff Sessions and current AG Bill Barr have unleashed the USMS to support their new authorities. They have been delivering incredible results!

In Atlanta last month operation “Not Forgotten” rescued 39 missing and abducted children. In northern Ohio this month operation “Safety Net” rescued another 35 missing children.

From the link above:

[…] The U.S. Marshals Service has been working with its state and local partners over the past month to locate and recover missing juveniles from the Cuyahoga County area. 35 missing and endangered children, between the ages of 13 and 18, were recovered during the operation. A little more than 20% were tied to human trafficking cases and those cases were referred to the Human Trafficking Task Force in Cuyahoga County. Of the 40 missing cases referred to the Marshals Task Force only 5 cases remain open. Members of the task force and its local partners will continue to work over the next several weeks to bring these 5 remaining children and other children to safety.

Chief John Majoy of Newburg Heights stated “We are proud to assist in Operation Safety Net and I commend the United States Marshals Service for their hard work and dedication toward locating these children. Many times, they do not know they are a victim and this operation offers hope, freedom and safety they would not otherwise have. This is a fine example of local, state and federal partners all working together for a notable cause. Together we can all make a difference.”

Based on the results of this operation The United States Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio has now created a permanent Missing Child Unit throughout the 40 counites of Northern Ohio to focus on those missing, abused, neglected and trafficked juveniles.

As I predicted a few days ago, the Mormon Church gave Mitt Romney an offer he couldn’t refuse. Yesterday he said that he backs Cocaine Mitch putting the President’s Supreme Court nominee for a vote on the Senate floor.

We absolutely have the votes to confirm whoever the nominee is. We will have at least 51 Republican votes with the possibility of a Democrat or two voting yes as well.

From the article linked above:

Senator Lindsey Graham, the chair of the Judiciary Committee, said Monday on “Hannity” that Republicans have the votes to confirm a nominee to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat before the election.

“We got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg’s replacement before the election,” Graham said. “We are going to move forward in the committee. We’re going to report the nomination out of the committee to the floor of the United States Senate so we can vote before the election. That’s the constitutional process.”

The Housing Sector is continuing to provide the fuel for the Economic Train.

From the article linked above:

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported existing home sales in August hit the highest level since December 2006. The stronger-than-expected increase for the third consecutive month follows a record 24.7% gain in July.

Total existing-home sales — completed transactions that include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops — gained 2.4% to a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 6.00 million. Sales as a whole rose year-over-year, up 10.5% from a year ago (5.43 million in August 2019).

Forecasts ranged from a low of 5,550,000 to a high of 6,440,000. The consensus forecast was 5,965,000.

“Home sales continue to amaze, and there are plenty of buyers in the pipeline ready to enter the market,” Lawrence Yun, chief economist for NAR, said. “Further gains in sales are likely for the remainder of the year, with mortgage rates hovering around 3% and with continued job recovery.”

Our President is all about making sure that the working class has every opportunity to succeed. Those workers have seen it and will vote accordingly on November 3rd.

From the article linked above:

Joe Biden has pitched himself to voters as a “union man,” a son of Scranton, Pa., who respects the dignity of work and will defend organized labor if he wins the White House.

To rank-and-file members in some unions, especially the building trades, it doesn’t matter. They’re still firmly in Donald Trump’s camp.

Labor leaders have worked for months to sell their members on Biden, hoping to avoid a repeat of 2016 when Donald Trump outperformed among union members and won the White House. But despite a bevy of national union endorsements for Biden and years of what leaders call attacks on organized labor from the Trump administration, local officials in critical battleground states said support for Trump remains solid.

“We haven’t moved the needle here,” said Mike Knisley, executive secretary-treasurer with the Ohio State Building and Construction Trades Council, who estimated that about half of his members voted for Trump in 2016 and will do so again. “Even if given all the information that’s been put out there, all the facts — just pick an issue that the president has had his hands in — it doesn’t make a difference.”

[…] “It doesn’t seem like there’s anybody changing their minds,” said Don Furko, president of the United Steelworkers Local 1557 in Clairton, Pennsylvania, who said the majority of his membership is backing Trump.

[…] “Everybody seems to be dancing on this thing. But if you go by my house, you’ll see on the lawn a Biden sign,” said Robert Heenan, second vice president of IUOE. Among rank-and-file members in Pennsylvania, where he is business manager of Local 542, he added, “I think a lot of them are going for Trump.”

Another fantastic rally by our President in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here are some shorter video clips from it:

For the 7th consecutive day our President’s approval rating is at 50% or higher.

National level, Rs a similar action. Won’t get through House or Senate. But at least force a vote in the Senate. Get the D-Rats on record.

At a minimum, Feds ought to be able to do something for the Interstates and US highway system. Felony for blocking traffic. Protect drivers illegaly stopped or fleeing illegal protests and riots on highways.

  3. Easily the two most important aspects of the new Florida legislation, as far as the individual citizen is concerned, because when seconds count, the police are only 10-15 minutes away.

This one takes the restraint off citizens who are just trying to escape:

“driver is NOT liable for injury or death caused if fleeing for safety from a mob.”

In practice, this means open season on any idiots who surround a car, which changes the whole dynamic, taking the intimidation power away from the mob and empowering the individual citizen.

Block a car and you might get run over, and if you get run over, it’s your own fault, not the escaping citizen’s fault.

    Bada-bing, Bada-BOOM!

And this one allows the private citizen to hold his derelict and terrorist-complicit local government accountable:

“Victim Compensation: Waives sovereign immunity to allow a victim of a crime related to a violent or disorderly assembly to sue local government for damages where the local government is grossly negligent in protecting persons and property.”

All the rest is gravy. 😁

No need for “skid plates” as minor thumps on the under carriage won’t hurt anything. Worst case, pressure wash the under carriage. 🙂

These laws get enacted and the dumb bastard rioters will back down quickly.

I don’t think most people understand the level of control the Mormon church exerts over its members. If you don’t pay your tithes, but your kid does, and said kid it getting married in a temple, you can’t attend. If you are “called” to have a position in the church, like teaching Sunday School, you do it. These people are in thrall to church leadership. Don’t doubt it.

The difficult part will be enforcement.

There are millions of government employees, and millions and millions of contractors who for the government.

A significant percentage of these people are true-believers or have acclimated themselves to the enforcement mechanisms of the insurgent Left.

There better be equally (or, hopefully better) enforcement mechanisms employed by the Trump administration, or the executive order will be toothless, and it will be business as usual in the vast expanse of the bureaucracy.

As has been true from the beginning, all that it takes to end all the nonsense is for the majority of We the People to simply stop playing along.

The whole thing is a ‘confidence’ game, a ‘con’, and the success of the ‘con’ requires our voluntary consent.

If we don’t give our consent, if we don’t play along, the ‘con’ ends.

That “we will reimagine” language sounds exactly like code, exactly what Gail was posting about the other day when she was talking about Marx and Hegel (the idiots), whose philosophy was (paraphrasing from memory) that objective reality did not exist, that the only thing ‘real’ is what we ‘imagine’ in our minds.

In other words, New-Agey religion stuff.

  10. I loved our VSG President’s address to the UN!
    It was epic.

He said what has needed to be said, unlike our previous spineless occupants of the WH.

    This part was especially good:

“Those who attack America’s exceptional environmental record while ignoring China’s rampant pollution are not interested in the environment.

They only want to punish America and I will not stand for it.”

Thank you Mr. President, for sticking up for us!

I think he was throwing the UN a life-line…while also telling them how it was going to be.
If they don’t shape up, then they give us no choice but to withdraw.

Of course, then all the mewling quims and simpering soy boys would scream, ‘You can’t do that!’.

They might even declare us a “rogue nation”.
