Dear KAG: 20200805 Open Thread

Just in case people here haven’t seen multiple angles of this:

Hmmm…. Intrigue…. This one seems appropriate.

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

In addition, it is requested that there be no swinging from the chandeliers, celebratory gunfire, messing around with the nuclear weapons, and, please, everyone wash your hands.

Please, do not forget to apply sunscreen after a sensible amount of time in the sun so as to beef up the level of vitamin D in the system so we can all get our immune systems in shape to stop the Wuhan Flu thing sooner rather than later.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there.

A few other vital notes:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

Ridiculing the other side, on the other hand…well….

From the Prophet Jeremiah, Chapter 31, verses 10-13

Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the islands that are afar off, and say: He that scattered Israel will gather him: and he will keep him as the shepherd doth his flock.

[11] For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and delivered him out of the hand of one that was mightier than he. [12] And they shall come, and shall give praise in mount Sion: and they shall flow together to the good things of the Lord, for the corn, and wine, and oil, and the increase of cattle and herds, and their soul shall be as a watered garden, and they shall be hungry no more. [13] Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, the young men and old men together: and I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them joyful after their sorrow.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, members of the Cabinet, first responders and those working behind the scenes.

Looks like it’s closing in on time with all the winning going on.

    1. OK, odd ball here.

But DANG, that was a GREAT explosion. 🙂

In the video FG&C posted> Easy to see numerous smaller explosions – ordnance cooking off between the initial explosion and the massive explosion.

      The shock wave, the massive over pressured. W O W ! Simply WOW… 🙂

        1. Have seen that thought. Me thinks the explosion was IDF influenced.

That said, very happy to see Ukraine in the news. Hope it all comes out soon. It’ll stop the insulting Biden candidacy.

PS – Pay attention to Wictor’s accurate observation that Hezbollah historically sites munitions and command/control locations inside civilian populations.

      1. And no, it is very unlikely this had anything to do with Ukraine matters.

this had to do with Iran and their military proxy Hezbollah.

PDJT and Saudis are neutering Iran, which paves the way for a peace agreement between Israel and the so-called “Palestinians”.

      2. I’m going to agree but also not agree with Wictor, and here is why.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deflagration_to_detonation_transition

This is visible, and clearly responsible for the shock wave. IMO, they KNEW it would likely reach a detonation, and were OK with that. WHY? Because detonation is the only way to be sure. The SHOCK WAVE will take out disconnected caches of explosives, including the conventional explosives of nuclear weapons. The only way to be sure about known unknowns is a shock wave, and for that, the action ultimately needs to create a sufficiently large detonation.

Deflagration prior to detonation will reduce the damage, but ultimately it is more important to destroy everything there, and a detonation of a good size is necessary to insure that.

          1. Look at the larger map and it appears Sicily is almost directly West of Beiruit and it’s been reported the detonation was equal to a 3.3 earthquake, as recorded by the station in Sicily. Interesting about the radiation levels.
Can you imagine what the view must have been in the space station if anywhere near it!

Those two definitely need to be separated just as we would separate illegal drug use and alcohol and tobacco smoking.

Mary Jane mellows people out and has a variety of medical uses to boot. It also does not rip your stomach up as OTC pain killers like Aspirin, Naproxen Sodium and Ibuprofen do. I have used hemp oil for about a year. My stomach has healed so I have lost weight AND I no longer take a week to recover from hard exercise. Now I am fine the next day. Hemp & Mary Jane are related but hemp has little to no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) the major psychoactive chemical in Mary Jane.

President Trump even signed The Farm Bill, Making Industrial Hemp Legal Again at the end of 2018.

The three main cell types that are involved in demyelination of the nerve fibers and axons in the CNS include activated T-cells, microglia and astrocytes. In activated T-cells, treatment with WIN 55,212-12, AEA and JWH-015 has been shown to inhibit cytokine production, infiltration of cells into the spinal cord and in vitro recall response to myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein by T-cells. Cannabinoids also inhibit the antigen presenting abilities of microglia by downregulating MHCII expression, costimulatory molecule CD40 expression, as well as cytokine secretion. Astrocytes, the major cell population in the brain, are also affected, as cannabinoid binding to the receptors leads to inhibition of inflammatory molecules, such as nitric oxide, cytokines and chemokines. In addition, anandamide binding leads to secretion of neural growth factor secretion and protection of the neurons in the CNS.

        1. Just wish it weren’t so expensive, Gail. I took the CBD oil drops for a few months until the China Virus closed down the local source I used…but, it was very expensive in addition to all the other supplements I take these days.

          1. After the first couple weeks, I don’t use it every day and normally just 1/3 dose except on heavy lifting days. Then I spread the 1/3 doses through that day and the next. I also use Turmeric Curcumin twice a day and that seems to work to keep the pain under control. (I take move free joint too.) I have been in constant pain for most of 50 years so finding supplements that WORK has been a real blessing.

Besides I figure what I now save on food pays for the oil. 🤣 I also stocked up on all OTC medications before the Chinese Corona Crud hit.

BTW I put the oil under my tongue and I think that means I use a lot less since it goes directly into the blood instead of going thru the digestive tract first. B12 (for allergies) under the tongue seems to work a lot better than the delayed release in the stomach that I am now taking.

            1. What strength do you use for the CBD, Gail? I discovered the first ones I used were virtually worthless because being so diluted.
I also do the under the tongue application, even with Vit B…Wish more supplements could be delivered like that.
As it is, I space my supplants out throughout the day and often take with food or milk….and still get heartburn.
This morning I woke up with a mouth full of cancer sores as well as on my tongue….sign of weakened immune system…and I haven’t been off our property in over a week.
As I get older (today is bd, so I guess I’m more aware to the topic), I find I’m much more reactive to foods, supplants, products, etc than I ever was. I’m thinking it has a connection of NOT being allowed into “the herd” and thereby creating a more vulnerable condition.

    1. Yeah, well, the REAL issue, if you ask me is putting the primary for all this in early AUGUST rather than May or June. It’s real simple: about the second week of June every year – and I mean EVERY YEAR – until about the third week of August, the city and county empty out as people go on vacation. (You learn as an executive assistant to never schedule meetings in this time frame. Not enough people are in town to pull it off.)

Early August it’s usually a ghost town around here leading to lower numbers at the polls, and then only the hard core voters vote, and there’s more leftists who will vote in every election than there are hard working, distracted salt of the earth types. That’s how they get stuff like medicaid expansion passed. In a general election it would never happen.

The couch commando is on fire this morning. Seriously, Sam Page was bad enough, but the medicaid expansion bill was worse. It was originally supposed to be on the November ballot, and Gov. Parsons had it moved to the primary election. In November it would NEVER have passed. Because of the way it is written, it can only be repealed by a vote of the people. Essentially, it installs ObamaCare in the state. I’ll have to dig a bit on it, but it looks like there’s an effort to install ObamaCare at the state level across the country.

The Deep State always finds a way, and it’s never straight forward. Sneaky.

It is ALL ABOUT TAXES and being able to grab property. Farms are (were) taxed at a much lower rate but when a developer wants the land they try to convince the town to tax as HOUSE LOTS. If the farm is “grandfathered” that is it has been in the family for one to three hundred years, the town runs into a problem BUT they get around it. Two friends were targeted and ousted from their family farms after major battles. This just makes those battles easier for the elite.

Nope. The core reason was to be a PAYDAY, and it was MORE of a payday for a longer period if it NEVER did what it was supposed to do, and that’s why the *problems* with it needed to GO AWAY, not GET FIXED.

I do not give a hoot if a person is racist or not as long as they do not ACT on the racism. If it is LEGAL to hold up a replica of the bloodied severed head of the President of the USA on national TV, then it is certainly legal to say ‘I do not like Black Thugs.’ Instead ‘Black Thugs’ KNOWN CRIMINALS like Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and now George Floyd are held up as ‘Martyrs’ — as the ROLE MODELS for young blacks and their families are SHOWERED with $$$$.

      https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1290347539472973825.html

….The videotapes I’m referring to were made by the CIA during interrogations of Al-Qaeda suspects Abu Zubaydah and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri in 2002 at a CIA black site prison outside of Bangkok, Thailand.

It wasn’t talked about much but there were tapes from GTMO as well that went away with these waterboarding tapes. And I personally think there were also tapes from other black sites across the globe. But the ninety something are the ones that leaked out.
      .
      .
[Lots on the legal CYA by Bush and then Obama… Were the tapes destroyed? OR moved to Bangkok? Bangkok was never mentioned by the Fake News…. GC]
      .
      .
In late Oct 2002, Gina Haspel became the section chief of a CIA “black site” located outside Bangkok Thailand codenamed “Cat’s Eye”. Haspel began working at other black sites as just an interrogator and worked her way up to Chief and in 2002 she was transferred to Bangkok.

She was Chief when Hayden ordered the tapes destroyed, and fingers were pointed at her for her role in the destruction of 92 interrogation videotapes of detainees both at the black site she ran and at other secret agency locations.

A partially-declassified CIA document from Haspel showing the direction for a new method of record keeping at the black site in Thailand, by re-recording over the videos, took place in late October 2002, soon after Haspel’s became Base Chief.

Remember John Durham cleared Haspel of any wrongdoing. Durham has a huge amount of leverage over Haspel. Haspel was the Section Chief over Europe when Brennan was running his pre-coup operations against Trump.

Haspel is the key to taking down Brennan.

They are bumping up his Cellcept from 500 mg 2X/day to 1000mg 2X/day. Thankfully they aren’t asking him to come in for more IV treatment & no more labs this week, which had been mentioned as possibilities before the nurse spoke with the Doctor. I guess he’s not entirely out of the woods on that liver injury/rejection situation yet, unfortunately.

I’d appreciate your prayers for him!

He seems to be doing relatively better by observation. His eyes have almost cleared all signs of the jaundice. He did go into work on Monday & was a bit tired after that 3 hour shift. He got to spend a couple hours with his fiance last night & they really enjoyed being together. They both love the Lord & show forth His Joy!!! Blessings…

    1. As a random thought, have you looked into non-medical things that can help Josiah’s liver? A lot of things tend to fall into two categories — that which feeds desired function by providing it with necessary things, and those that challenge a function to make it stronger through controlled resistance. If Josiah is eating more of the “challenge” type, it might be good to ease off until the crisis passes; if Josiah is eating less of the “feed” type, it might be a good time to supplement.

Life wants to live, and most organisms regulate themselves as best they can — but at times such as this, a little conscious attention may be helpful.

      1. Could you expand on this please. His liver suffered “injury/rejection” since it is a transplanted organ & though it’s been in his body for 7 years when he went low &/or no anti-rejection meds over a few weeks eventually there was jaundice & illness &, based on labs, hospitalization.

They have him back on some of the meds he was on early post-transplant & hasn’t been on for years (Prednisone & Cellcept) & on higher doses of his normal anti-rejection med Prograf/tacrolimus (now 3mg ever 12 hours when it was 1.5mg AM & 1mg PM before hospitalization)…

They don’t have him on any dietary or activity restrictions like they did after the transplant. He wasn’t allowed fountain drinks for weeks because of possible infectious agents. He wasn’t allowed in the lake for nearly a year. He had to wear a mask in public for months & his para-pro had to sanitize every desk, surface, & computer he used in school for weeks…none of these things are part of his life now…

They didn’t mention Any dietary stuff, but then they are MDs & so trained to deal more in meds than lifestyle stuff…

        I appreciate your insights–Thanks!

        1. The observation I was looking to communicate is that there is a macro event (rejection) which may be won or lost at the edge — and you have a team of physicians you have a relationship with acutely monitoring this through labs at the top level….

But, maybe, it’s a good time for you (not them) to look where they are not looking….and see if you can give Josiah’s liver a teensy bit of a boost at the micro level, including supplemental nutrition to aid liver function and avoiding the consumption of things that would challenge the liver. I’m not an expert in liver function by any means, and I’m not looking to push any products. It’s more like, “when there is a brush fire, it’s not the time to have a backyard party with a fire pit.”

My heart is with Josiah in this time. It seemed like a potentially useful topic to communicate.

We’ve finally gotten him to add those low-cal flavor packets to water so he’s drinking more water; the dietitian in the nephrology clinic was supportive of this approach. His liquid intake is sometimes insufficient & it impacts his “chronic kidney disease” which is associated with his high blood pressure, I believe…

          2. As an addition. The liver has to break down all the toxins in the body. Alcohol is a prime example of a toxin that hurts the liver while it’s being neutralised.
With rejection the white cells of the body recognise the intruder and program antibodies. This is how we recover from infections. Some things the body only has to meet once and the immunity attained is lifelong-makes a big impression. Other things fade with time. This is how vaccines work and natural immunity. With transplants the trick is to lull the immune system into not recognising foreign cells. To do thiis a good tissue type and anti rejection (immunosuppressive) drugs do it.
Initially the level of anti rejection drugs is high as first impressions count. As time passes, with it’s response nobbled the immune system learns to grudgingly tolerate the new organ and anti rejection drugs can be weaned down. This is tricky and very individual. Whenever the immune system gets irritable it needs extra soothing. Eventually a balance is achieved. Obviously if the organ gets insulted by mistreatment like alcohol or challenging foods or even stuff like sunblock (this is cumulative-double Jeopardy- anti rejection drugs increase the risk of both sunburn and skin cancers) or there is an infection the balance is thrown off. Kidneys are vulnerable to dehydration. Hearts and lungs hate chest infections.

I’d been hopeful that Josiah was one of those people who could Eventually wean off the anti-rejection meds all together (we’d been told that the liver is the only transplanted organ where that is even Possible)…I missed the jaundice as it creeped up. Our daughter noticed on Thursday but forgot to say anything. Our oldest son, whose house we were hanging out at on Friday, is the one who noticed J’s eyes were orange…

I was so fixated on getting taxes done by the July 15 deadline & my procrastination had me not getting it done before vacation…that I wasn’t even really planning to dig into meds til that was all done (J still seemed “fine” so I wasn’t “too” concerned)…

Believe me, I carry a load of guilt, though I am only One part of the chain that dropped the ball for Josiah…but meds have always been my responsibility. Even though 2 other family members took transplant med training alongside me I’m the only one whose Ever managed his meds. Those other 2 don’t even live with us now!

I struggle with that “never good enough” perspective. I can harken back to my dad harping on my report cards with all A’s & 1 B & all that was talked about was why wasn’t that B an A…Thankfully God the Father deals with me differently than my earthly father did/does…

I’ve sought forgiveness from Josiah, his twin Brandon, & my husband for the part I played in contributing to J’s med challenges (& the risk to his life). I am forgiven “just as if I never did it”, but I know what I did & didn’t do & still have to live with it…& the fear that my weaknesses & inadequacies are still present & could come into play down the road…

I doubt we’ll ever run into a similar med situation, especially now that it’s apparent that J Requires anti-rejection meds for at least the foreseeable future…but dropping the ball in some arena or another is still out there…Thankfully he’s not as fragile as he was when young but still…

The Creed song “I created my own prison” comes to mind when I dwell on this situation & the aftermath too long. His Grace is sufficient & I do require His Strength to move forward & keep giving Him the burden of my guilt & manifest sins to be able to keep functioning & not crumble under pressure…

But thank you so much. I believe you read through our Transplant Journey some time back so what you shared is weighted by your knowledge of some of our experiences & your previous precious prayers for Josiah & our family. God Bless You for this ministry of Love & Grace!!!

        1. You learned that he can’t wean at this age. It’s a gamble, but it was worth a shot, IMO. Now you KNOW the steepness of his limits. That’s useful knowledge that could REALLY save his life in the future. As long as we learn, we can turn defeat into victory!

              1. That’s why doctors Practice, never Perfect. 😉

FWIW I failed calc-based physics twice & then barely passed general physics. I was always a conceptual learner & never really grasped the concepts of calc so had a bit of a mental block (I hated just pure memorization without full understanding)…I’d never failed a class before that & getting on that horse & getting bucked off again was a harsh, but likely overdue, life lesson…hmmm…

Wasn’t Tesla the genius theoretician while Edison was the tinkerer, more trial & error? Of course the govt. was more supportive of Edison, at least as far as what the public had access to & knowledge of. Did the elites/deep state/cabal keep Tesla’s triumphs mostly for themselves???

                Liked by 2 people

              2. Those are the common perceptions of Edison and Tesla, but I recently read something which stated that the “standard comparison of Edison and Tesla” is more correct on Tesla, and less so on Edison, whose main fault wasn’t as much being overly empirical, as being overly abusive and mercenary toward the people who came up with great ideas under him. Tesla wanted no part of it. I’ll see if I can find that article – it was great.

Tesla was indeed somebody who liked to perfect ideas in his head, rather than wasting too much time on false starts. He was quite proud of his approach. And yet, he had his flaws. Tesla didn’t respect relativity at all. Ironically, his thinking on it was a bit like Einstein’s thinking on quantum mechanics, which – despite having been one of the originators of QM, Einstein notoriously described the main school of thought on QM of his time as being “incomplete”, which was true, IMO, but which idea was not taken kindly. I personally think Tesla’s beef with relativity was due to two things – (1) not having dug deeply into the problems of space/time and gravitation himself, and (2) having his own ideas on “new physics” which were not yet ready to be relativized.

Calculus is beautiful, but yeah – if it’s not explained well, it’s no fun at all.

        2. Apologies for the delay in replying, Valerie. You are right that I read Josiah’s history…very inspiring…and I remember that he was the only member of your household who was pro-Trump at one time! LOL….that lad has faith in God for sure. And it looks as if Josiah has convinced you at minimum, if not your whole family… ( That’s when I posted onJosiah’s site, the 1983 prophecy about Trump, and by the way, it’s updated recently by Lifesite news…here it is: )

Isn’t Our Lord great? He introduced us to His Father, made Him real in our lives, so we can absolutely call God, Father!!! An all loving father….so much healing in that.

It’s late and got to do some other work…but now that Josiah is in my prayers. Please keep us updated!

          God bless

          1. Thanks GC…it’s amazing that you can recall so much about Josiah. You’re right in the Trump support area. J was on the Trump train for the primaries in 2016 & all the rest of us were (various degrees of reluctantly) backing Cruz. I had eligibility concerns w/ Cruz so I felt somewhat hypocritical about that after all the digging I did on Natural Born Citizenship surrounding the BHO Usurpation…

I’m not sure that J convinced us to be Pro-Trump & my 2016 vote for Trump was definitely more of a vote Against Hillary. But now that Trump has been a Promise Keeper & Battling diligently for our nation as founded it’s impossible to not be on the Trump Train!!! We are so blessed to have this lion-hearted champion fighting for us, & even for the world, as he diligently goes after deep state darkness & all manner of evil, like child-trafficking. I’m so pleased with the vast majority of what he is doing & thankful to have Treehouse resources to magnify my understanding of these amazing times!!!

Thanks so much for your prayers. We heard more about J’s labs this week & they bumped up another med, Prograf, a bit to try to calm down the liver. Also his white blood cell count is elevated so he’s not completely out of the woods yet. Blessings!!!

Just a huge shout out to my wife Valerie Curren

When you are the parent of a special needs child, you cash everything in for that purpose. You honestly lay down your life, everyday. Your life, becomes.. their life. In the beginning when the doctors tell you that your son will not read, and then he reads, that he will not walk, and he ends up.. riding a bike, you begin to wonder if anyone really knows what they are talking about at all. When the schools say his IQ is way below “normal”, and he needs “these classes”. Deep down, you know they are wrong, so you have him tested by his/ your physicians, and of course it’s clear the school just skewing the numbers to make it easier on themselves to save money.

The list goes on and on and on, as do much of the smoke screens, along with the people that ignore almost every special needs law on the books. Who is on the front lines to battle the institutions that for some reason don’t want to look that hard, or, work that hard to help your son become the best he can be? Simple, that person is mom!

But no matter how many battles you may have won, so-to-speak, the question always lingers in the back your head, “was it good enough”? Did I do enough? Will he be ok?

Then after that, the exhaustion has its way, and you begin to replay all the conversations that people have criticized you for, saying things like – “you should have done this way”, or “because you let up in this area, he is now going to suffer for this”. Your life is slowly beginning to get reshaped, and reframed. The dreams you may have had are all set aside. The dinners you hope to cook, don’t get started most of the time because another social worker was not satisfied with the answers you gave, and wanted to go over all of them again. Or, the pharmacy messed up another medication refill, hence another hour on the phone.

But finally you get some time to yourself, you might sleep..some. After getting 4 hours of broken sleep on the couch, you realize its now 2am , but, the house is quiet and you can finally think a little bit. You stay up, read, find something interesting on the internet, and then you eventually pass out again. The weeks turn into months, and the months turn into years, and you look back and see, your sleep deprivation has not helped your depression one bit, and it has actually caused you to be fairly isolated in many areas of your life.

Over the years, the isolation has gotten way worse because you really don’t have anywhere to go to process all the guilt you have for not doing a “good enough job” . Ghosts of the past are constantly making question everything you do and say. You would wish you had someone to talk to but you don’t have anyone really, because most people quite honestly, can’t handle hearing about all the struggles. Your struggles, his struggles, your husbands struggles, and how you feel you are letting everyone down. You hear things like “ Your too needy”, and “I can’t be your friend (you just have too much going)”, or “you really need to get your life sorted out, you sleep in too much” etc…

You start to lose your trust in people, and wonder if there is any real compassion out there. Does anyone really care? People begin to see you only has hermit, who doesn’t take time “reach out”. So the special mom who has put everything she has into her child’s life, becomes an island unto herself. Nowhere to go, nobody to talk to, and no energy to get there. It’s just how it works out.

But, there is another day of phone calls that awaits you, and you have to make sure all the medications are in place, and all the doctor’s appointments are scheduled. Plus there is always the ongoing counseling sessions that take place directly with the special needs child reassuring them that God made them special, and that everything will work eventually. This goes on all day as well. But that’s what good parents of special needs kids do. They give it all, and hope one day, it will pay off. Not for the parent, those days are long gone, but for the child. Will he succeed in something? Will he continue to progress in life? Will he make a difference somewhere? Ask any one of them, and they will tell you that it was all worth it, but don’t be surprised if they don’t drift off to sleep for a second before they finish their sentence. Its not an easy road, but it’s what you have to do.

My wife Valerie is a hero. She doesn’t think so, because who is going to tell her that. Not the doctors, not the pharmacist, not the social workers, not the dentist, and really not even the church. When you’re an island, there are no accolades. But she is indeed a hero!

Love you very much babe. Thank you for all your sacrificial love for our son. You are amazing.

      Michael

Michael, Thank you so much for sharing these very insightful observations & humbling encouragements. We’ve lived this thing for so long now, almost 2 1/2 decades if you can believe it! Well being so close to it “all” it’s pretty hard to find an objective viewpoint from which to reflect on our journey thus far.

Thank you for still seeing me & loving me in spite of, & at times because of, the challenges & even my manifest shortcomings. You do in so many ways evidence Christ’s love for His Bride, The Church, in how you love & care for me (& our family)…& we are all so very blessed in & by & through you!

You are the True Hero in our scenario, after Jesus our Ultimate Hero! You are a rock & together we stand on The Rock & weather those storms of life alone & together, safe in His Arms as He carries us both when our strength fails & we retreat into His Comfort, Healing, Strength, Peace, Hope, & even Joy!

I Love YOU so much & am continually amazed that God gifted us to each other to battle for the family & the Kingdom side by side, heart to heart, & at times even back to back! He is so Good & in the end He Wins & we share in that Victory in Jesus!!! No matter what happens we are taking what money can’t buy, our precious children, into that Life Eternal & that assurance can help see us through so many storms & trials & the uncertainties of life that continue to swirl about us.

Nothing can separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus! What a blessed assurance when the waves toss & the winds blow, for our house will continue to stand since we are founded on The Rock that is Christ Jesus our Lord. Hallelujah

      1. It is a common belief amongst many atheists, especially the militant ones, that the preachers who rail the most against homosexuality, drug use, etc., etc., are more than likely going to turn out to be doing those things themselves, and the higher their profile, the more likely it is. They’ll cite the Bakkers, Ted Haggard, and many more. Now I don’t know how statistically likely it is looking at the total population of firebrand clerics (you’re being invited to believe it’s common, and you really can’t draw that conclusion), but it does seem to be the case that IF a cleric is caught doing stuff like this it will then very likely turn out he was preaching hard against it.

Personally I think to some degree all believers are hypocrites. We never really live up to God’s standards & can only stand before Him because of the Blood of Jesus. Unmerited favor…oh “& such were some of you” is always applicable, even if it’s just committing murder or lust in one’s heart!

      1. See you in November. Clay’s district includes not just the city, but a good chunk of big money in the Central Corridor now. This isn’t going to sit well at all.

As for what the Deep State is pulling in this area, this is what I wrote to Kea above:

Sneaky.

  10. wow…arrogance and ignorance. Seattle protestors filed a lawsuit against the city, arguing the city should pay for the protestors “protest” gear–boots, gloves, helmets and gas masks–and oh yeah…pay for the filing of the lawsuit itself. because the police/city has money and access to riot control gear–no fair!
    FTA
It went to on say that “each of the Plaintiffs was unable to protest for a period of time for want of additional gear necessitated by SPD’s unmitigated and indiscriminate tactics utilized without restraint.”

The plaintiffs further argue that “the continued misuse of war munitions by SPD against civilians turns the streets — a public forum and site of protest — into a pay-to-protest racket where only a privileged few who are wealthy enough or popular enough to crowdsource funds to purchase gear akin to that used by the police department they fund can truly be in the streets.”

Fox News reported that some of the items listed as necessary protest gear “included boots, gloves, helmets and gas masks.”

      But wait, there’s more!

In Portland the city is fining the U.S. Government for having a fence in front of the federal building their maximum amount of $500 every 15 minutes. As of July 29th, when this article was written, it was $200,000, and counting. They are claiming it is justified because it blocks a bicycle path.

      Mass insanity. Unhinged from reality.

      From the article:

“Need more proof that Portland City Commission lives in la-la land? Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has issued the maximum fine allowed—$500 every 15 minutes—to the federal government for the fence around the federal courthouse at the center of nightly riots, because the fence blocks bike lanes. Portland City Commissioner Chloe Eudaly, who is in charge of PBOT, issued a statement announcing the fines, and it’s full-on crazy train.”

    1. I doubt testifying is what she’s doing. Testifying is done under oath to tell the truth.

Most likely what she’s doing is called ‘spinning yarns’ (polite company) back where I come from or ‘bullshit’ (impolite company).

  11. boo hoo! DeBozo’s gonna have to lay off city workers if NYC doesn’t get a bailout. too bad, so sad…ask your wife for that $800 million she “lost”…

    FTA
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer he will lay off 22,000 city workers if the Feds don’t give him a bailout.

Wolf Blitzer asked de Blasio if he is failing because crime has spiked in New York City.

The Communist Mayor, who defanged and defunded the NYPD blamed Covid for the increase in crime.

Then he said he’s very worried about the stimulus talks in DC and warned he will have to lay off 22,000 city employees from every department by October 1st if he doesn’t get a federal bailout.

    1. A little blackmail threat? Think POTUS will fall for it? Heh heh
Might be enlightening to see a list of the Mayor’s “expenses”, including the BLM “mural” and the 27 policemen stationed to guard it.

You know, it takes a lot of courage for these guys to do this…I give them a lot of credit, and the videos from their march are outta this world.

Amidst the scorn, and despite being called c**ns and Uncle Tom’s, a few of us black Trump supporters took to the front to head a collective march thru the streets of Los Angeles, as we all showed support for America, Trump, and our police. #liberalsworstnightmare #BLACKLIVESMAGA

    1. That’s why the evil Dems are trying to do vote-by-mail.

Pres Trump said this morning that it could take “months” to get them all counted, with vote-by-mail.

      And yeah…what a nightmare!

    2. I do not believe that is correct. Only if the dems retain majority of the House.

House critters take office on 1/3 which means if we take back the House she sure as hell ain’t the Speaker.

  15. Kris Kobach was robbed.

There were 10 other primary candidates in that race…diluting the vote!

This is from 4 weeks ago:

And now our President has to make nice with the primary winner, because we need that Senate seat.
    Arrgh.

    1. Word from the Kansans themselves, Marshall is the more electable candidate. Kobach. while a favorite of McConnell and POTUS, was not considered the stronger for the final race in November. We have a better chance to hold the seat now. It was opened by Sen. Roberts not running again. I’ll try to find the tweet that talks about Kansas. Richard Baris, pollster, had this to say.

I like that Marshall is a physician.

Then there is this result from Arizona – which is significant. Larry had thought McSally was throwing away her seat, but the GOP turnout yesterday far surpassed the Dem guy, Kelly. I despise Kelly – he’s the anti-gun fascist who parlayed his wife, Gabby Giffords being shot into a platform. He’s a nasty SOB.

  16. WOW! CLASSIC FAKE NEWS SPIN!

    This is the story:
Bill Barr Indicts 8 For Illegally Funneling Foreign Money To Adam Schiff And Multiple Dem Senators

This is HOW POLITICO SPINS IT!
Lobbyist known for Trump ties charged with steering illegal contributions to Clinton

    FIRST SENTENCE:
George Nader, a witness in the Mueller investigation, has acted as an informal conduit between the president’s top advisers and Middle Eastern interests.

    First two paragraphs:

A lobbyist known for his ties to the inner circle of President Donald Trump has been indicted on campaign finance charges for allegedly using straw donors to conceal contributions to Trump’s 2016 rival, Hillary Clinton, the Justice Department revealed on Tuesday.

The lobbyist, George Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman, has acted as an informal conduit between Trump’s top advisers and various Middle Eastern interests. He also served as a witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into election interference.

ONLY Hillary Clinton is mentioned and NOT ADAM SCHIFF.

How do people take Biden seriously as a presidential candidate though? ?
Grenell calling out NBC for their bias, …hope I remember how to link tweets.

Dear CBS Editors, your reporter Errol Barnett has a tremendous bias for Joe Biden.

Please remove him from covering the Presiential race immediately.

    This is total advocacy….@CBSNews
