Quick note: for today, please address all issues with DA BIN and such to Wolf. Thanks.

And now for some fear porn instructions. How to be afraid…it’s an art.

This popped into my feed at just the right time. Yep, music is a universal language.

And a reminder to take the pledge:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

And now for the nitty gritty of the Q Tree 5 minute, stand up, Tuesday morning meeting version of the Daily Thread.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out with anyone who happens to still be hanging out there.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

From SUNDAY’s Mass readings. The Prophet Isaiah, Chapter 55, verses 1-3.

Thus says the LORD:
All you who are thirsty,
come to the water!
You who have no money,
come, receive grain and eat;
Come, without paying and without cost,
drink wine and milk!
Why spend your money for what is not bread;
your wages for what fails to satisfy?
Heed me, and you shall eat well,
you shall delight in rich fare.
Come to me heedfully,
listen, that you may have life.
I will renew with you the everlasting covenant,
the benefits assured to David.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome. Via con Dios.

  1. anyone else having trouble with oranges lately?
hubby and i always enjoyed fresh oranges as a snack…but the last few months, they have been terrible…Sunkist navel oranges from Florida. they peel terribly–almost hurt my thumbs–and then they won’t section properly. the bottoms look like another orange is trying to grow–so instead of sections, you get hunks of shredded pulp…such a waste.

    1. The navel oranges we get in England from Spain and other orange-growing countries have been okay. With other varieties, though, it’s been much as you describe for a couple of years now here.

I really enjoy blood oranges, but what’s on offer here from orange growing countries has been disappointing. The rinds have looked dry for at least two years running, so I haven’t bought any. They’re not cheap, either.

      What a shame.

  4. No revelations here…

Biden puts off naming his number two, another two weeks. Yawn. Seems his handlers can’t make a decision.

Somewhere to day I read, Biden is waiting Durham results (Indictments) to be made public. OK. But me thinks Durham’s initial indictments are just that initial. Investigation continues, with more indictments at some point.

Then I saw Tucker believes, Susan Rice is likely Biden’s handlers choice for number two.
Can’t name Rice, yet. She may get indicted soon. 🙂

The nephews wanted to go floating, and the 6-mile float we do that usually requires dragging the canoe off of the bottom at least twice and normaily is 4-6 hours depending on the number of stops made, took a little over two hours. We’ve had a lot of rain, and that river was moving.

No hail storms this year, thank Heaven. Although, we did find the spot where we took shelter last year while that was happening.

Let me catch up, and I’ll get tomorrow’s daily in the hopper.

      1. Actually CLASSIC Marx Philosophy.

        LOOK at this tweet:

        Wokal Distance
Please notice the woke are NOT arguing that 2+2 always equals 5, nor do they argue that 2+2 never equals 4.
The woke think there is no universally correct answer to 2+2 that is objectively true in all situations.

They aren’t FALSIFYING 2+2=4, they are DECONSTRUCTING it.

This is the KEY: The woke think there is no universally correct answer

        The Philosophy Of Karl Marx

The philosophical bases of Marx’s thought were laid early and remained unchanged throughout his life. As a student, Marx accepted the philosophy of Hegel as the only sound and adequate explanation of the universe. According to this philosophy, “the only immutable thing is the abstraction of movement.” The one universal phenomenon is change, and the only universal form of this phenomenon is its complete abstraction. Thus, Hegel accepted as real only that which existed in the mind. Objective phenomena and events were of no consequence; only the conceptions of them possessed by human minds were real. Ideas, not objects, were the stuff of which the universe was made.

I had some idiot philosophy prof at an LU week long seminar for first time managers try to tell a room full of production foreman there was NO OBJECTIVE REALITY and NO WAY to KNOW THE TRUTH. You should have seen the bewildered looks.

He went on with his garbage for about 15 minutes at which point I said fine, if Reality is NOT REAL then go lay on those railroad tracks but sign over to me your worldly goods and give me your keys first… (Train was due in 10 minutes) He slunk out of the room to an uproar of laughter.

This whole philosophy DENIES Science Math and the real world. It works on kids who NEVER experience cause & effect. AND THAT IS WHY SPANKING IS VERBOTEN BY THE LEFT!!! (Now yelling at a kid or raising your voice is child abuse in NC)

        Liked by 2 people

        1. Yep.

Reality is whatever the Marxist says it is, to be determined on an as needed and moment by moment basis.

One set of rules for them (none) and whatever they wish the rules to be for the rest of us.

          Spawned by and in hell.

      1. I’ll tell you what, I was encouraged this morning at 7 am since we were floating today, that the Republican working the polls gave my photo a good look and had me pull down my mask.

I was really weird. Since we have open primaries in Missouri, there is a conservative push to primary the county executive. Well…as long as we’re doing that, may as well keep the loony tunes challenger to our congress critter out too, right? In, what, over 25 years of voting, I’ve never actually voted for my congressman. I did today just to keep his challengers out. He’s a Dem hack, but he’s not nutz or dumb.

  9. Need help. Last week we received a notice from the Virginia Employment Commission – a letter to my hubby, saying he wasn’t eligible for unemployment. Time period this past year.

We did not apply for unemployment. Husband filed a report online with them. Could not get through by phone. The letter from them had his name, address, and last four digits of social security.

Today we get a letter saying they’ve okayed him for a small amt. plus the $600 from the CARES Act. Yikes! He has been trying to file another notice to them about the fraud, and the site isn’t taking the submit.

We are worried. He has frozen our credit – no new credit accounts. Signed up for identity monitoring. Will file a report with the police fraud dept. in the am.

Anyone have any other suggestions? There was an article in the paper about this. Obviously it looks like identity theft is part of this picture. Hubby thinks it could be through his work – he works for the Navy.

If COVID hadn’t happened, or the government handing out free money, we might have been spared this.

    1. You wouldn’t have been spared if this didn’t happen; you’d have been shafted some other way probably much worse.

Your identity has been cloned by someone. What you need is a service like LifeLock to actively monitor activity in close to real time, as opposed to a service telling you 30-60 days later that you’ve been screwed.

    2. You say LETTER… that is through the mail.

Go to the US POSTAL INSPECTOR they are very interested in MAIL FRAUD.

I had a case in 1981, I handed over all the info I had saved and they were very happy. Wide grin on the postal inspector’s face…. No more problems and a major apology from the local company (Firestone) I got the credit card from.

      Good luck.

Also report to Social Security and make sure you do not have DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS from an illegal using the number. If you do your husband loses his SS payments into his account. Social Security will not notify him. They will just put BOTH tax amounts collected into a slush fund and your husband will not be credited for paying in.
Report suspected Social Security fraud to the Social Security Fraud Hotline at (800) 269-0271.

(I can not find the article on that any more)

This is the best I could find:

    3. The three major credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion), will each provide a free credit report for you and one for your husband. EVERY YEAR, one from each agency to both you and husband.

Can be done online. Easy to do. Play twenty questions with each of them to verify, you are in fact you.

The reports are quite extensive. They WILL SHOW any new accounts opened in your names.

Antifa Attempts Invasion of the Suburbs, But Is Repelled by Gun-Wielding Citizens
They came to the suburbs to “protest” the house of Seattle police chief (and noted White Supremacist) Carmen Best.

They accessed a private road to “protest.”

Armed residents with a legal right to be on that road said no fucking way.

Neighbors buckled down and used their own vehicles to block the protesters from moving further down the street where Chief Bests home is located.
“It was not peaceful. They were here to intimidate. Scare people. Scare children. There were children out there and they were asking them what schools they went to. They were yelling the most horrible things youve ever heard in your entire life,” said wife Jamie.

“You’re coming to a small community. We see all these peaceful protests getting hijacked in Seattle and Portland and other areas,” said husband Whitney. “It just takes one Molotov cocktail, takes one person trying to light something on fire, one firework going off. Then we now have a neighborhood in crisis. We feared that more than anything, was having a crisis here in our neighborhood that we ultimately didnt deserve.”

Antifa and BLM “protesters” have two modes: Savage, feral violence when they think they can get away with it and puerile whining when they think they can’t get away with violence.

As they were confronted here by people with guns, violence was off the table, and they resorted to whiiiiining.

“We’re peaceful!” a sissy whined. “And you pointed a gun in my face!”

“That’s why you’re peaceful,” a female citizen replied.

THIS will do more to encourage PROMPT reporting of facts, and to DISCOURAGE time-of-release-based hoaxing, than any rule or regulation. Knowing that people can be SUED for withholding information would reverse DECADES of leftist manipulation of law enforcement, journalism, and city management.

      1. Yup. Me thinks IDF in both scenarios. Quite effectively. The one in Beirut easy to put in play. Explosive material and probably ordnance stored in unsafe manner. No safety in the storage. Surely no sprinkler system in the building. Start a fire…it’ll go high order on its own. K A B O O M 🙂

And the dummies had the material in a city. The very definition of, stoopid.

  13. Someone just sent me a short Facebook video made by a young woman who has accidentally discovered that if you use either Google or Duckgoduck….type any any 3 random numbers followed by the words new cases, a “story” will immediately appear about new COVID cases/deaths from where you using the device.
She used her husband’s phone to demonstrate…put in 3 different sets of numbers and instantly it reports those numbers as COVID news cases or deaths.
    Example: 565newcases
Several viewers tried and said that’s the same results they got. The moral being…Big Tech and the Media are playing with us.
    Try it for yourselves….

  14. If it hasn’t been said already…

The big explosion in Beruit today was a SECONDARY explosion.

In military slang, you’ll hear aircrew hitting a target with ordinance make a call out stating, “secondaries”, after an initial bomb blast. This is an important callout, because often a target is designated as such precisely because it is a weapons cache of some kind and the purpose of the attack is to CAUSE such secondary explosions (thus destroying / denying use of same to the enemy).

    The questions are:

    1) What caused the initial explosion(s), and…
    2) what was detonated in the massive secondary explosion?

Given that this happened in Lebanon….home to Hezbollah (Iran’s proxy)….I’d say a massive Hamas/Hezbollah weapons cache was just blown up…

…which jibes with the many explosions happening in Iran.

I’m guessing that Iran and it’s proxies are methodically being disarmed in an ongoing shadow war taking place outside of the press/public’s view.

Iran certainly won’t admit to debilitating, humiliating losses, and neither we nor our ME allies (Israel and SA) are going to say anything either.

    1. PS – Iran and it’s militant proxies have long been used by the global cabal for any number of reasons, including distraction.

This seems quite clear now in the grand scheme of things.

And Iran CLEARLY views Gen. Flynn as a grave threat.

      1. First time I’ve seen the initial explosion. Earlier videos it looked like a fire. Lots of smaller ordnance cooking off, smaller flashes until major explosion. Also, a raging inferno before the major explosion.

Could very well be an air strike, or a smaller bomb placed in the building.

So happy for Hezbollah and iran’s losses. Hoping for more.
