Dear KMAG: 20200803 Open Topic

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KMAG/KAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

Yes, it’s Monday…again.

Wheatie’s Words of the Day:

Hear, hear…vs…Here, here.

When meant as an expression of agreement with the point being made, people often say, “Hear, hear!” …Or is it “Here, here”?

Which spelling is right?

While I’ve heard it argued, that it is “Here, here” because it means…”You have agreement here.” It is more commonly accepted to spell it “Hear, hear”…as in, “Hear him!”, which was the original cheer used in the British House of Commons, dating back to the 18th century.

Now, if you are at a tavern and someone asks, “Who wants another glass of ale?” …Then you could definitely say “Here, here!”

  1. Wheatie – anyone else having trouble posting and or “liking” comments? WordPress seems to be randomly blocking folks. Anyway, thanks for your post – really enjoyed the music and the vids! Let’s see if this post makes it….

    1. This is apparently going on at CTH. There is a whole article up about it.

I think we are under attack.

Stands to reason, as we are in the small number who have any freaking idea what is going on, and what is coming.

  3. Analysis: NY Times hints at Leftist Coup if Trump wins in November
    https://capstonereport.com/2020/08/02/analysis-ny-times-hints-at-leftist-coup-if-trump-wins-in-november/34768/

Trial Balloon? Or Threat if Joe Biden does not win in November?

If you think the Resistance to 2016 was unhinged, you haven’t seen anything yet. Get ready for crazy if the Woke Mob doesn’t get its way. The New York Times provided a hint into how Leftists could respond to a Donald Trump victory this November. Buried at the end of a column on the media’s coverage of the election was a shocking tidbit floating a constitutional crisis.

According to Ben Smith in the New York Times:

“A group of former top government officials called the Transition Integrity Project actually gamed four possible scenarios, including one that doesn’t look that different from 2016: a big popular win for Mr. Biden, and a narrow electoral defeat, presumably reached after weeks of counting the votes in Pennsylvania. For their war game, they cast John Podesta, who was Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, in the role of Mr. Biden. They expected him, when the votes came in, to concede, just as Mrs. Clinton had.“

But Mr. Podesta, playing Mr. Biden, shocked the organizers by saying he felt his party wouldn’t let him concede. Alleging voter suppression, he persuaded the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to send pro-Biden electors to the Electoral College.

In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr. Trump took office as planned. The House named Mr. Biden president; the Senate and White House stuck with Mr. Trump. At that point in the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues, and waited to see what the military would do.

    Wow.

However, hardly unexpected. Leftists spent the last four years crying about 2016. They’ve done everything possible to overturn that election verdict. If things don’t go their way in 2020, well, it won’t be pretty.

Violence in the streets we expect. That’s how Democrats handle things as the riots showcased over the last few months.

But, what do we make of this hint? Is it a trial balloon? A threat?

    Whatever, it is irresponsible.

      In case Zoe wonders by.

This is of some Spanish guy arguing with a really hideous goat in a grey stone dusty pen, over a wood split rail fence.

I have no idea what the Spanish guy is saying but at the bottom of the screen it says “ARGUING WITH A LIBERAL’ in caps.

Now this is a very ugly dirty brown haired goat with a very mean and ugly disposition. The goat has horns like a steers though they twist around at the end. Its beard hangs over the fence as it tosses its head back and forth and the top of it’s head has two separate tuffs of red hair that nearly stand straight up above its floppy ears, one of which mostly dangles while the other stands outward. If the goats not shouting back at the guy its spitting, blowing through its nose violently or sticking it’s tongue out angrily as it gives this guy disgusting looks.

Here’s what the goat is said to be saying with each angry scream.
      RACIST!
      BIGOT!
      FASCIST!
      XENOPHOBE!
      NAZI !

    1. I would advise having a conversation with your pharmacist (not your doctor) regarding local availability. If there is none, then you will need to find a mail-order pharmacist who can dispense. When you find one, you can ask who their prolific script-writers are.

If you start with the doctor, they’ll tell you how superior they are and that their group’s policies absolutely forbid. If you start with the pharmacist, they might tell you about a private-practice doctor right around the corner who can jot you a script.

      1. Proceed carefully with these conversations, and ask more than one.

Today, I finally got in to a NEW doctor, that I contacted after a convo about COVID-19 and hydroxychloroquine with my old doc in April.

New doc is awesome! I educated her a bit on HCQ. She said “side effects.” I said “100s of 1000s of military personnel, where are all the heart problems? She was receptive. I said “if I were going to Equatorial Africa, would you prescribe it?” She said “yes.”

Then, she contacted my pharmacy (chain in a grocery store) on her computer (I assume email). I shit you not, within THREE MINUTES she got a phone call from them.

I said out loud “it’s illegal for them to ask why you are prescribing.” To them she said “well, she has arthritis.” (We had talked about my painful joints and hands)

She said “you are cancelling?” after they talked at her for a while.

When she got off the phone, she told me there is a “policy” that they only fill the scrip if there is a positive COVID test.

I asked for a written prescription so I could “shop around.” I called a LOCAL pharmacy, not a corporate one. The pharmacist said “of course we will fill your prescription.” Hey, presto, I have HCQ in my medicine cabinet!

It is going to depend on the individual doctor, pharmacy, etc. what you run into.

I am going to repost this story at the end of the thread so other people see it.

    2. I helped a lady in Houston a few weeks ago, I hope. She was desperate, Her dad was deteriorating after 3 days in an area hospital that would NOT give HCQ even though the family was demanding it. We were contacting all the famous Drs, who unfortunately weren’t taking new patients. Finally I googled HCQ+TX hospitals and found where the US Govt had shipped 150,000 doses of HCQ to a handful. They even had a state map. Sooo, in case you get sick, I’d do some research before hand to figure out which hospital to go to. HCQ friendly just might save your life.

  4. This is the big theory going around the chans at the moment. The theory is that the Dems are going to create a Constitutional crisis and demand Congress or SCOTUS pick the President. It resonates with me simply because it never seemed like the Dems were attempting to win this election. I’m sure POTUS and the white hats know about his and have planned accordingly, so I’m not -too- worried.

        ADD this:

…While more than 100,000 American deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, 150 million doses of hydroxychloroquine, donated by manufacturers, are deteriorating in government warehouses. There is an aggressive campaign to portray HCQ at first as “unproven” and now as also “unsafe.” Following the lead of the Food and Drug Administration’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), which prohibits use of HCQ being stored in the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) outside of hospitals, most states have placed unprecedented restrictions on physicians’ ability to prescribe HCQ “off-label” for COVID-19…

    2. I’m reposting something I posted the other day reference something close to this.

Concerning Congress choosing the president. I looked at this earlier in the year on Wikipedia using the Article II sec 1 pages as well as the 12th Amendment page. While there are circumstance for the House to take a vote to determine the President and the Senate to vote to determine the vice president, these circumstance are more the result of nobody reaching the threshold of 270 electoral votes and not for another stated reason. So if the reason was not for that specifically, such a case would be breaking new constitutional ground and would leave room for much argument. Meanwhile since I had read those things I am seeing upward to 30 to 40 changes in the edit history page. Too much for me to wade through.

Now I’ve noticed a another page on Wikipedia that is specific to the United States Presidential Election which has 40 edits since Feb of this year, 11 in just this month. On that page I found this to be of interest.

“If no candidate receives a majority of the electoral vote (at least 270), the President is determined by the rules outlined by the Twelfth Amendment. Specifically, the selection of President would then be decided by a contingent election in a ballot of the House of Representatives. For the purposes of electing the President, each state has only one vote. A ballot of the Senate is held to choose the Vice President. In this ballot, each senator has one vote. The House has chosen the victor of the presidential race only twice, in 1800 and 1824; the Senate has chosen the victor of the vice-presidential race only once, in 1836.”

Which essentially is saying the House elects the president but each state only gets one vote. Now while that seems to this simple mind to be in keeping of what the electoral collage attempts I still would not vouch for it given my total lack of expertise in this area. I also don’t find reference to the one state one vote thing either in Article II Sec 1 or the 12th Amendment and think such language if true would be part of the mounds of paper that went into establishing the 12 Amendment. Now if such is true and that’s the way it is, then one state, one vote comes down to 20 votes for Biden, and 30 for Trump.

As far as moving the date of the election I don’t see anything anywhere that says either way, but that could be oversight on my part. Adds that while it does say the date was chosen for purposes of when it was convenient because of farming practices that might suggest the date is set upon convenience and little else, which means the date could be arguably moved.

Anyway, whatever Democrats, MSM, or any of their hired experts say, I’m sure we’ll have experts too and might entertain waiting on what they say if required and not already engaged in civil war at that time, which is a distinct possibility.

It would be a symbolic triumph if the leftists anarchists were able to descend on the ship and gut it out with fire, coming either from land or by sea to do it. “Gutting the Constitution” and destroying an icon of America’s founding.

Either set up extra security on site, or tow it to a more secure location, such as the Navy submarine base at Groton, CT.

The official ChiCom Party line is, “Everything’s fine. Nothing to see.”

But there have been a few reports of ‘cracking’ along the sections of the Dam.
The ChiComs built it in separate sections, with separate teams…and it remains to be seen if this was the best way to do it.

There has been some heavy rainfall upstream from the 3 Gorges Dam.
This additional water is making it’s way down to the 3 G Dam…and Dam-watchers are calling it “The Fourth Flood”.

Microsoft announced Sunday it would pursue discussions with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, “in a matter of weeks,” on buying the app in the U.S. following conversations between President Trump and the tech giant’s CEO Satya Nadella.

Microsoft said the two firms are exploring a preliminary proposal for Microsoft to buy the TikTok service in US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand. “During this process, Microsoft looks forward to continuing dialogue with the US Government, including with the President”.

“Microsoft appreciates the US Govt & Trump’s personal involvement as it continues to develop strong security protections for the country.”

Microsoft is committed to buy TikTok “subject to a security review & providing proper economic benefits” to the US, including the Treasury.

“Microsoft may invite other American investors to participate on a minority basis in the potential purchase.
Microsoft hopes to complete discussions “no later than September 15.”

              1. So right you are Pat… I assure myself that things will be alright when I remember that Donald Trump is always happy, upbeat. What could be wrong that can’t be resolved? Hope you are having a great day.

  11. I always check in on Sidney Powell’s twitter feed. She retweeted Lin Wood’s tweet of an interview she had regarding Weiner laptop, Clinton emails. Lin Wood is the lawyer representing Nick Sandmann.

I think we should pay attention to this… Maybe some stuff going to be getting out.

    “I know that @SidneyPowell1 is a truth-giver. I listen very carefully to truth-givers.”

  12. Obama is a literary fraud? not a big revelation to those who watch him struggle without a teleprompter nearby…he hasn’t had an original thought in forever…
    FTA
Barack Obama, the writer, is stumbling again. Even the New York Times acknowledges that the former president is “anguishing over the publication date of his long-awaited memoir.” Others are anguishing even more than he.

“The delay is wreaking havoc with print scheduling and of course budget planning,” an insider told me. “The enormous advance is starting to raise concerns within the publisher. While Michelle’s book performed well, Obama needs to deliver the book and sales to make the overall deal worthwhile.”

This is not the first time Obama failed to deliver on a book deadline. In the summer of 1993, Simon & Schuster lost patience with Obama, canceled the contract it had awarded him two years earlier, and demanded the advance back. To get out of debt and save his future, Obama had to do something.

  13. H/T DONNA IN OREGON

I am Irish, and I get all fired up about our freedom, CTH, and Sundance going to the belly of the Beast with his brief in hand! So exciting!!!

Time for an Irish Blessing for sure:

    May the friendships you make,
    Be those which endure,
And all of your grey clouds
    Be small ones for sure.
    And trusting in Him
    To Whom we all pray,
May a song fill your heart,
    Every step of the way.
