Dear KAG: 20200702 Open Thread

Here we go, Fourth of July weekend starts TOMORROW!

I’ll have more to say on this in another post that’s incubating but in the meantime, in the flurry of Q posts yesterday was this one.

Q !!Hs1Jq13jV6 ID: b2492a No.9813070
Worth repeating.
MSDNC pushes coordinated FAKE, FALSE, MISLEADING DISINFORMATION based on a biased [D] political viewpoint [controlled mouthpiece(s)].
Blue checkmarks then defend and attack [target] opposing viewpoints using slander, aggression, suppression, group-think, etc. [suppression tactics].
Non-blue checkmarks then defend and promote attacker(s) [blues] viewpoint(s) [leftwing ‘cult’] to instill echo_chamber wall-to-wall amplified narrative for each designated subject.
Select [public discovery] topics are deemed and ranked in priority order [ranking determines use of assets [big-to-small]].
[How to herd the sheep (you) 101]
If you do not follow [remain in-line] with their political viewpoints you are deliberately made to feel in the minority [isolated] and inferior [using aggression-slander].
[If majority thinks x then x must be true _projected false reality _minority projected as majority using news _ social media platforms to spotlight designated viewpoints [the ‘narrative’]].
A public (person) that thinks for themselves [independent free-thought] is what they FEAR the most [loss of control].

Hence why videos like this exist.

Reminiscent of a certain shampoo commercial from my youth. And they’ll two friends, and they’ll tell two friends, and don’t vary the message because it has to be the real thing.

One thing these 4 am talking points get really wrong is that this nation, the United States of America, is a REPUBLIC, hence the title of the musical selection below is the Battle Hymn of the REPUBLIC. This setting is the most popular here, and to be honest, those Glorias above the staff are murder at pianissimo. Originally, it was written for all male voices and has been rearranged in SSATTBB.

As usual, this is the daily thread, the place to put all information that needs to be out there – Q drops, Q drop decodes, potential riot information, rumors about MAGA rallies starting up again, news flashes, WuFlu updates (is that still a thing?), satire, memes, and of course cute animal videos.

In the meantime, the short and sweet version of “THE RULES” is here borrowed from Tuesday:

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Since it is almost the weekend, the reminders are in place to not swing from the chandeliers, wash your hands and face, marinate the ribs, and be nice to the liberals whether they deserve it or not. Making your bed, OTOH, is optional.

Referenced above:

From Psalm 19

2] May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee. [3] May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion. [4] May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat. [5] May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels.

[6] We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted. [7] The Lord fulfill all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers. [8] Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God. [9] They are bound, and have fallen; but we are risen, and are set upright. O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee.

Mask on, mask off. Where’s Mr. Miyagi when you need him?

Time to be a rebel and #TakeOffTheMask!

    1. For what it’s worth, from Johns Hopkins.

Is it possible to have other coronavirus symptoms without the fever?

“It is possible to be infected with the new coronavirus and have a cough or other symptoms with no fever, or a very low-grade one, especially in the first few days. Keep in mind that it is also possible to have COVID-19 with minimal or even no symptoms at all.”

        1. That’s why I haven’t had the anti-body test yet.

There was that one in December, a post nasal drip in February where I did the zinc thing and it never developed, and then that NASTY one in March which was labelled Influenza A. I still have lingering effects from that, specifically the fever. Been taking vitamins and eating a lot of meat and dairy. That seems to help.

Trying to drop a dress size is just going to have to wait.

          1. Leave out the bread, pasta, sugar, carbs… and you can eat all the meat & Cheese you want and still lose weight. I lost 30 lbs on a veggie/heavy on the meat diet and didn’t skimp on the fats. You NEED fats to build a healthy immune system and to protect your nerves…

HMMMmm maybe the Vegan/No Fat Diet is why the SJWs go bonkers at the least amount of stress. The Doc put my Mom on a NO Fat diet for a pancreas problem. She had the fatty sheaths around her nerves start to disintegrate and became very sensitive to any and all stimulii. The Doc had to put her on one pat of butter a day to correct the ‘no fat’ problem.

      1. I had been so hoping one of those police horses would kick the crap out of a nasty protestor.

Some idiot snuck up behind me out on an Army Corp of engineers practice runway (sand) he got right behind my horse and beeped his horn. She planted both her hind feet in his radiator and kept walking.
—- I have always wondered how he explained the hoof prints in that radiator to the motor pool Sargent. (The radiator didn’t have a shield so she flattened the little fins.)

          1. Lots of hugs from me and my friend who was riding a more temperamental mare in front of me. That mare would have spooked instead.

I really loved that mare. She was the smartest and easiest to train equine I have ever had. A real western COW PONY bred off working ranch stock. They now call them Foundation Quarter Horses since they have very little racing thoroughbred blood. My racing thoroughbred was the DUMBEST horse I ever had.

              1. No they are not like dogs.

They are PREY so their minds (and eyes) work completely differently.

Dogs, cats, people have eyes in the front of their heads and binocular vision with depth perception for hunting. Since they hunt they are more inquisitive and bolder.

Prey animals have their eyes on the side of the head and when eating have almost 360 vision. They are very sensitive to movement. In a horse and other prey animals they will have to raise their heads to shift their focus. (We don’t) That is called ‘Alerting’ And most other herd animals will respond to a raised head and stare.

If the animal thinks what they see is dangerous they will run a short distance and check to see if they are chased. If they are not chased they will stop and stare and then return to grazing. When they lay down there is ALWAYS one standing guard .

Since horses are herd animals they have a hierarchy just like a pack of dogs does. In training you want to be on the TOP of that hierarchy. Once you have established
                1. Your are at the top.
                2. You are to be trusted to lead safely.

Then it is a matter of communication. Horses are very, very sensitive to non-verbal cues from humans so being very careful to use EXACT repetition is important. Probably the biggest problem for novices is the fact the horse does not have the facial muscles a dog does and that makes them much harder to ‘read’ They are also much more reluctant to trust quickly. I think part of that is from them being bought and sold over their life times. We usually give a new pony about 6 months to a year to ‘settle’ and get to know and trust us before we start working with them. It can take a year or more for them to get over bad training and mistrust. Sometimes, like with my thoroughbred it can take years.

Can horses become good friends with humans like dogs do? Yes very much so. I have had horses, even lesson horses I was attached to, recognize me years later and greet me with a whine or gallop over if they are in a pasture.

              2. If you are still the rider will appreciate it. If you wish to pet a horse ASK!

The safe zone is the shoulder. The head has teeth to bite and a horse can ‘cow kick’ as that girl learned the hard way. They can bring the leg up under the belly and then kick out to the side.

(I do some teaching so you guys are getting part of the safety lecture. )

  1. From a local doctor, via LIFELOG:

Study showing that some unexposed individuals may have some T-cell response to the SARS-COV2 virus.
In this study they found that 81% of unexposed individuals still had a T-cell response to the SARS-COV2 virus. So it is proposed that coronaviruses causing the common cold could cause a T-cell response giving individuals who have not been exposed some inherit immunity. Here in a previous blog we proposed that some type of cross over immunity from coronaviruses causing the common cold could be an explanation as to why some patients are asymptomatic. This appears to be some evidence of that hypothesis.

In addition they found that the severity of the disease correlated to the levels of antibodies that were found in patients. Meaning that patients with severe disease had higher levels of antibodies. However, this was not the case with the T-cell response as even mild cases still mounted a strong T-cell response.

So this is good news meaning that it is very possible that many people already have some immunity to the SARS-COV2 virus.

    1. Coronavirus Update 7/01/2020 – Fatality Rate
      BTHO COVID-19

So today at the time of this writing there are 46,042 new cases and deaths are at 764. Nationwide cases are still way up over the past week or so days going from 26k to now 40k per day . Deaths are actually still steady or trending down slowly. We also have now had 1,143,334 people recovered from this virus and should now have some degree of immunity from this horrific disease.

Locally, in Texas cases are still rising rapidly. We had 5,182 new cases which again is one of the largest numbers we have ever had in Texas. In addition we had only 36 new deaths with a still declining mortality rate of 1.5%.

There are 74,628 active cases in Texas. The number of active cases continues to rise at a steady rate. We have risen significantly over the past 2 and half weeks now. Cases here in Texas along with hospitalizations have risen sharply over the past two and half weeks and another 475 today. We now have a reported 6,533 patients in the state hospitalized currently with Covid-19 and we were below 2,000 on 6/8. As I have said previously we now have 50% of hospitalized and 30% of critical care Covid-19 patients are under age 50 now. So while most in this age group live many still get very seriously ill and require significant hospital stays prior to recovery.

In addition we have 84,818 recovered now. While we still have plenty of hospital and ICU beds they are filling up at too fast a rate with now over 450 per day for the past 4 days.

Today in Dallas county with 601 new cases and 20 deaths. Harris county with 693 new cases and 2 new deaths. Collin county with 119 new cases and no new deaths being reported. Denton county with 70 new cases and no new deaths. Tarrant county with nothing reported. Brazos county with 121 new cases and no new deaths. Travis county with 508 new cases and 4 new deaths. Fort Bend county with 6 new cases and no new deaths. Bexar county with nothing new reported.

For the newbies we have been predicting an overall fatality rate somewhere in the 0.3 to 0.7 range when we finally correct the denominator.

American Academy of Pediatrics recommending kids return to the classroom in the fall.

Here is the statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics. “Schools are fundamental to child and adolescent development and well-being and provide our children and adolescents with academic instruction, social and emotional skills, safety, reliable nutrition, physical/speech and mental health therapy, and opportunities for physical activity, among other benefits. Beyond supporting the educational development of children and adolescents, schools play a critical role in addressing racial and social inequity. As such, it is critical to reflect on the differential impact SARS-COV2 and the associated school closures have had on different races, ethnic and vulnerable populations.

The AAP strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school. The importance of in person learning is well-documented, and there is already evidence of the negative impacts on children because of school closures in the spring of 2020. Lengthy time away from school and associated interruption of supportive services often results in social isolation, making it difficult for schools to identify and address important learning deficits as well as child and adolescent physical or sexual abuse, substance use, depression, and suicidal ideation. This, in turn, places children and adolescents at considerable risk of morbidity and, in some cases, mortality.”

The quote is easy to understand and emphasizes the importance of school in pediatric development intellectually, socially, culturally and physically. They go on to say that children and adolescents appear to not play a major role in amplifying SARS-COV2 outbreaks. In addition evidence suggests that children and adolescents are less likely to be symptomatic and less likely to have severe disease in COVID-19. In addition, children may be less likely to become infected and to spread infection.

Policies to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within schools must be balanced with the known harms to children, adolescents, families, and the community by keeping children at home. Finally, policy makers should acknowledge that COVID-19 policies are intended to mitigate, not eliminate, risk!

So this means that the risk of a child going to school is minimal. And that this risk must be weighed against the risks of not going to school causing mental, physical, social and intellectual issues. And that the policies that are put in place will only slow the spread and not stop the spread of the virus.

They have specific recommendations for each age group and specific school activities. There is way too much to write all of the details for each age group but it is worth reading if you have school age children.

Here is a repost of the supplements we have discussed to have potential benefits.

Quercetin from 250mg up to 1g twice per day Remember this is a Zinc ionophore.
Vitamin D3 Take this for sure if you are deficient and I now recommend taking it as long as your values are not too high.
Sleep greater than 8 hours per night
CoQ10 100-300mg per day: a potent antioxidant that potentially helps balance oxidative stress, increase vasodilation, prevent clot formation and decrease vasoconstriction.
Zinc any amount is probably good but take what you can tolerate without making you feel bad up to 40mg. You do not want to be Zinc deficient as it is how many drugs like HCQ work.
Melatonin 0.1mg to 10mg at night. Take what you can tolerate and what helps you sleep without making you feel drugged or tired in the morning. If you are diabetic watch your sugars.
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) – 600mg twice per day shown to decrease severity of influenza, improve lung functions in COPD, antioxidant properties, potentially helps prevent clotting and with mental disorders. Caution for asthmatics as there is potential for bronchospasm.
Vitamin C 250mg to 500mg twice per day. Effects debatable in oral form but IV did help in China. But is proven to strengthen immune system
Green Tea either drink some or 1 pill per day alternate zinc ionophore if you don’t have or don’t take Quercetin

As always the information and understanding of COVID-19 is changing rapidly. This information is for education purposes only and you should never make changes to your health without consulting your personal physician. Make a virtual appointment with your physician and discuss your health and the best possible treatment plan for you. It is also important to reiterate that there are no clinically evidence-based integrative prevention or treatment strategies for COVID-19 infection.

Let’s all keep praying for all that are ill with this virus in the world.

      1. Lots of news on why the rise. Large part dealing with Mexico’s sudden surge. Began in mid May and cases began coming over here on 26 June according to World o Meters data.

Concerning Hospitalizations we’ve already posted this informative and disturbing piece.

Now Brietbart has finally done a story on it

Note. People coming in from Mexico are mostly ex pats, duel citizens and migrant workers with papers to get across the border. Also many are ambulatory with weak lab bat symptoms. This is IMO is easily absorbed but dems are not explaining it and are using this to panic the public.

Other aspect to rise in hospitalizations are the way they are reporting people that had finally been allowed to get elective surgery and had to remain over night in the hospital to get post op care.

      2. There is rising evidence that the increased number of new positive tests in many states, along with the reduction in new hospitalizations and deaths, is actually our population gaining HERD IMMUNITY.

    3. I really wish some people around here would quit listening to him. The spell he has the libs under is nauseating. I mean, I know women who never curse who are adding #wearamaskasshole to every post, and there’s memes comparing wearing a mask to a bra and pants. “Yes, they’re uncomfortable, but I do it for you.”

No, you don’t. You do it for social acceptance. As a long haired, skirt wearing woman, I am quite familiar with the Karens of the world openly saying things like, “I think you would look great in a short cut,” and “I don’t ever see you wearing pants.” And when I say you won’t either because I don’t like the way I look in them, I get, “Well, I disagree.” Since they’ve never seen me in pants, how would they know?

This is the same sort of argument.

Since I was little I have had other girls/ women try to get me to ‘conform to fashion’ since I considered most of it SUPER UGLY as well as expensive, I have stuck with ‘Classics’ for my professional wardrobe. It doesn’t goes out of ‘style’ within a year since it never was ‘IN Style’ thus I saved myself tons of money.

It might be jealousy, but to an extent I see it more as a herd mentality, and outliers aren’t supposed to be allowed.

    1. You will notice that I’m trying to speed up our site’s pages by various forms of copying and pasting tweets instead of using Twitter URLs – and when I do include the URL, I’m adding periods at the end.

This is designed to keep Twitter from slowing down our pages with embeds. I’m going to encourage people to play with alternate ways to speed up tweets like this. I’m not requiring it – obviously it’s not useful all the time, e.g., with pictures and videos. But I would love to see others experiment and find great ways to present Tweets without slowing us down.

      Liked by 9 people

      1. The twitter ’embeds’ aren’t showing up for me anyway, and haven’t for at least a couple days now. If I want to see tweets posted here, I have to click on the link to go to it.

Which invariably means I’m not seeing a lot of tweets.

When they’re “in” the thread, I can quickly see whether I’m interested enough in the content to read/watch, etc. or scroll by, but if I have to check every link and open a new page to see it, I find myself scrolling by most of them.

      2. The easiest method is to copy the text of the tweet and on a separate line put the link with a star in front of it.

I know when to wear a mask and when NOT to wear a mask. I’m already dealing with hypoxia and messed up lungs. I’m probably immune, too, so the mask doesn’t really do ANYBODY any good except make the mask Karens feel better. Sure, I can do that. But PLEASE don’t force it.

To ‘mask’ or not to ‘mask’ is not a question of whether someone else is doing it… WTF?

Either it serves a legitimate medical purpose to wear a mask, or it’s abject virtue-signalling… or as Dr. Rashid Buttar says, “I should start handing out stickers when I see somebody wearing a face mask, ‘Here, here’s a sticker for ya, you know, I’m wearing a face mask because I’m a dumbass…” 😂😂😂

Masks and respirators do not work.
There have been extensive randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies, and meta-analysis reviews of RCT studies, which all show that masks and respirators do not work to prevent respiratory influenza-like illnesses, or respiratory illnesses believed to be transmitted by droplets and aerosol particles.

Furthermore, the relevant known physics and biology, which I review, are such that masks and respirators should not work. It would be a paradox if masks and respirators worked, given what we know about viral respiratory diseases: The main transmission path is long-residence-time aerosol particles (< 2.5 μm), which are too fine to be blocked, and the minimum-infective dose is smaller than one aerosol particle.

The present paper about masks illustrates the degree to which governments, the mainstream media, and institutional propagandists can decide to operate in a science vacuum, or select only incomplete science that serves their interests. Such recklessness is also certainly the case with the current global lockdown of over 1 billion people, an unprecedented experiment in medical and political history."

"In a landmark study, Shaman et al. (2010) showed that the seasonal pattern of extra respiratory-disease mortality can be explained quantitatively on the sole basis of absolute humidity, and its direct controlling impact on transmission of airborne pathogens."

"The underlying mechanism is that the pathogen-laden aerosol particles or droplets are neutralized within a half-life that monotonically and significantly decreases with increasing ambient humidity. "

"To put it simply, the “second wave” of an epidemic is not a consequence of human sin regarding mask wearing and hand shaking. Rather, the “second wave” is an inescapable consequence of an air-dryness-driven many-fold increase in disease contagiousness, in a population that has not yet attained immunity."

FINALLY! Talk about burying the 'lede' 😂

"Such small particles (< 2.5 μm) are part of air fluidity, are not subject to gravitational sedimentation, and would not be stopped by long-range inertial impact. This means that the slightest (even momentary) facial misfit of a mask or respirator renders the design filtration norm of the mask or respirator entirely irrelevant. In any case, the filtration material itself of N95 (average pore size ~0.3−0.5 μm) does not block virion penetration, not to mention surgical masks. For example, see Balazy et al. (2006).”

“All of this to say that: if anything gets through (and it always does, irrespective of the mask), then you are going to be infected. Masks cannot possibly work. It is not surprising, therefore, that no bias-free study has ever found a benefit from wearing a mask or respirator in this application.”

Furthermore, individuals should know that there is no known benefit arising from wearing a mask in a viral respiratory illness epidemic, and that scientific studies have shown that any benefit must be residually small, compared to other and determinative factors.”

      1. So in conclusion, even the extra-special ‘N95’ respirator masks don’t stop viruses.

        DO. NOT. STOP. THEM.

So either the masks are useless and TPTB are lying to us, or Covid-Stupid isn’t a virus at all, and TPTB are lying to us.

Someone more clever might observe they’re lying to us, either way.

  6. “Father Theodore Rothrock from St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, Indiana was suspended this week after his condemnation of the radical Black Lives Matter protest movement. Father Ted made the mistake of comparing Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and the other nefarious acolytes of their persuasion to “serpents in the garden” whose “poison is more toxic than any pandemic we have endured.”

Wow, we could use a lot more clergy like this priest who tell it like it is. So of course they suspended him. smh

    Liked by 12 people

    1. My first question was “Who claimed the authority to suspend him?”

So at thegatewaypundit webpage I clicked on the link, which took me here:

Where it says: “Rev. Theodore Rothrock from St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel has been suspended from public ministry by Bishop Timothy Doherty Wednesday after calling Black Lives Matter organizers “maggots and parasites.” ”

So my next question is “Who is Bishop Timothy Doherty?”

I found his wiki page here:

If I was Rev. Theodore Rothrock, the first thing I would do is drop the religious title ‘Reverend’. The word “Reverend” only appears one time in the WHOLE Bible, and it is in reference to God:

“He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.” (Psalm 111:9, KJV)

His name, not any man’s name.

So any man who thinks he ought to take the religious title of ‘Reverend’, comparing himself to God, might want to rethink that idea.

      I certainly would.

After I dropped the title ‘Reverend’, I would next challenge the authority of Bishop Timothy Doherty, and I would so Biblically and publicly, as Paul did to Peter, “But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.” (Galatians 2:11, KJV)

I would note that among the qualifications given by God in order to be a Bishop (a.k.a. Elder) in His church, one must be:

      1) a man (husband)

      2) the husband of one wife

      3) with a faithful child or children

And these qualifications in God’s Word are given not once, but twice:

“For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: [6] If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. [7] For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;” (Titus 1:5-7, boldface emphasis mine)

“This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. [2] A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; [3] Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; [4] One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; [5] (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)” (1 Timothy 3:1-5, KJV, boldface emphasis mine)

Some of the qualifications are obviously judgement calls to be made by the congregation appointing the bishop or elder, but obviously several of the qualifications GIVEN BY GOD (not given by men) are matters of verifiable fact, i.e., being a man, being the husband of one wife, having at least one child.

God is not obligated to explain Himself or His reasons to us, but in this case, He did — God chose to explain why He required the qualification that a man be married with a child or children in order to be a Bishop (a.k.a. Elder) in His church:

“(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)” (1 Timothy 3:5)

Then I would ask Mr. Doherty if he would present his wife and any children, to demonstrate that he at least meets the factual requirements necessary to be a Bishop (a.k.a. Elder) in Christ’s church.

And if he can’t, then by definition, he is not qualified to be a Bishop in Christ’s church, and has no authority in the matter.

He could be a Bishop in some OTHER church that is not Christ’s church, where men make up the qualifications for themselves, and that’s a whole other can of worms, but according to God, Mr. Doherty is no Bishop in Christ’s church, if Mr. Doherty does not meet the qualifications which God set forth.

And then when I was sanctioned further by these scoundrels, I would go right up the line, all the way to the Pope, who claims to be the Bishop of Rome, publicly asking him to present his wife and his child or children, if he is able to do so, or to remain silent if he cannot.

Unless any man dares to claim he is a higher Authority than God, God is the highest Authority, and God determines who is qualified to be a Bishop (a.k.a. Elder) in His church.

God’s Word is very plain and clear on this subject.

So I would quote God and then stand on His Word, and let them try to argue with God.

And whatever they may say or do from that point forward, the whole world will see and know the truth.

          1. My objection is when people tell us how we should do things. And those who fell away, if you had a problem, rather than walking, why not try to resolve it rather than taking a position that reeks of being smug and sanctamonious.

I don’t comment on what protestants have to say about the interior of their houses, because it is, frankly, none of my business. I consider it only courteous as it’s not my house.

            Liked by 1 person

            1. I did my DH a disservice by quoting your words of “fallen”…more correctly it was a walk away, well-thought out, wrestling with the Catholic guilt trip, Italian traditions… but, in the end, very deliberate.
I suspect any questioning comments about the Catholic Church and those who run it would seem smug and sanctimonious to some.
Reminds me of the blacks, Jews or other ethnic groups who call each other disparaging names but don’t you, as an outsider dare do the same!

              1. Same with the military. I’ve been corrected by Navy people when I say the words “Chair Force.”

The point is, the choice was made to walk away for what ever reason the person uses to justify their actions. You’re gone? Okay, you can come back any time, but pointing fingers from the outside, especially when those on the inside have chosen to take up the mantle and fight, is just not cool.

            2. “And those who fell away,”

But I did not fall away; I seek the Truth.

“I don’t comment on what protestants have to say about the interior of their houses,”

I made what I believe to be a sound and logical argument, about what I would do, if I was presented with the circumstances in which Theodore Rothrock finds himself.

If the argument (or any part thereof) is claimed to be in error, where is the error?

I seek the truth, whatever it may be.

While I understand (and agree with) many Protestant points (while disagreeing with any doctrine for which there is not book, chapter and verse in God’s Word, i.e., command, apostolic example or necessary inference), I am not a “Protestant” and do not represent myself as a member of any group called “Protestant”, if such a unique or specific group exists.

I am a Christian, lowly and undeserving though I am — and if you are a Christian also, then shouldn’t we both be members of the same church — Christ’s church?

“…because it is, frankly, none of my business.”

The truth of the Gospel, of Christ and His church, is everyone’s business, isn’t it?

Is the invitation not made to all?

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, KJV)

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

        1. “Please, if you are not Catholic, or have fallen away and do not practice, BUTT OUT.”

This is a public matter, a man has been suspended from his job for doing what is right, for standing up and calling out the Marxist domestic terrorist organization BLM.

“My objection is when people tell us how we should do things.”

Is it not God Who has the right and the Authority to tell us how we should do things in His church?

          Who can deny it?

I did not tell anyone how they should do things as though I am any Authority (I am not); but God is, and I quoted God’s Word as the Authority.

And repeatedly, did I not say what I would do, if I was in Theodore Rothrock’s position, as someone who is interested in defending the statement for which he was suspended?

As someone who is interested in the Truth — in all things?

A natural extension of any such defense in the pursuit of Truth is to first establish the Authority of whomever ordered the suspension, for if the individual doing so is without Authority, then as a natural consequence, the suspension itself is likewise without Authority, and can therefore be disregarded completely.

Would ignoring the suspension not, as a predictable and logical consequence, inevitably lead up the chain of Authority within the organization? And at each step will the same challenge to the qualifications of the individual claiming Authority not apply? Do any of the bishops — up to and including the Pope — have a wife and at least one child? If not, then how can any of them meet the qualifications given by God in His Word that He required in order to be a bishop in His church?

If the bishops do NOT claim to be members of Christ’s church, then of course they are free to make up whatever qualifications they like and do whatever they please, within the boundaries of the law.

But if any claim is made or asserted that the bishops are members of Christ’s church, then Who besides God has the Authority to determine the qualifications necessary to be a bishop in His church?

What man would presume to take it upon himself to contradict, countermand or overrule God, to put himself in a position of Authority over and above the Authority of God?

How is this not a simple matter of Authority and identification?

If the claimed identification is positive (i.e., if the claim is that the church is Christ’s church), then the highest Authority in Christ’s church is Christ, and no man has the Authority to usurp Christ as the Head of His church:

“Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. He is the saviour of his body.” (Ephesians 5:23, Douay-Rheims)

“And he hath subjected all things under his feet, and hath made him head over all the church,” (Ephesians 1:22, Douay-Rheims)

“And he is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he may hold the primacy:” (Colossians 1:18, Douay-Rheims)

And since God is no respecter of persons (Proverbs 24:23, Proverbs 28:21, Romans 2:11, Ephesians 6:9, Colossians 3:25, James 2:1, James 2:9, 1 Peter 1:17, Acts 10:34, etc.) the qualifications given by God clearly apply to Mr. Doherty, or to Mr. Bogoglio (a.k.a. Pope Francis), or anyone else.

I quoted God’s Word, the qualifications which God requires in order to be a bishop in His church, which is not in dispute. Does it not say the same thing in the Douay-Rheims translation?

“For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and shouldest ordain priests in every city, as I also appointed thee: [6] If any be without crime, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not accused of riot, or unruly. [7] For a bishop must be without crime, as the steward of God: not proud, not subject to anger, not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre:” (Titus 1:5-7, Douay-Rheims, boldface emphasis mine)

“A faithful saying: if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. [2] It behoveth therefore a bishop to be blameless, the husband of one wife, sober, prudent, of good behaviour, chaste, given to hospitality, a teacher, [3] Not given to wine, no striker, but modest, not quarrelsome, not covetous, but [4] One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all chastity. [5] But if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?” (1 Timothy 3:1-5, Douay-Rheims, boldface and italics emphasis mine)

So the cited source of Authority (God’s Word) is, by definition, a valid source of Authority to anyone claiming to be in subjection to God or a member of His church; how can anyone claim to be a child of God, and deny the Authority of God?

Can anyone claiming to be a member of Christ’s church dispute that God is the highest Authority there is or can be?

Therefore, are the qualifications given by God, in order to be a bishop in His church, not valid? Do they not apply to anyone who claims to be a member of His church, who seeks (or claims) the office of bishop?

Therefore, how can it not be a valid challenge to anyone claiming to be a bishop in any church which claims to be Christ’s church and represents itself as belonging to Him and being under His Authority?

God’s Word plainly gives the qualifications necessary in order to be a bishop in His church, in two separate passages, whether the translation referenced is the KJV or the Douay-Rheims or any other of which I am aware.

God is (to put it mildly) a valid source of Authority, and obviously the highest source of Authority; who has higher Authority than God?

Every church which claims to be of Christ is, by definition, under His Authority.

What man can defy God and Christ, and take to himself a position or office of Bishop, in obvious and undeniable defiance of the qualifications given by God, for His church?

      1. “The bishops are all in for BLM.”

If that is true (and I don’t doubt you), and BLM is a corrupt, violent, terrorist, Marxist, subversive organization funded by George Soros which seeks the violent overthrow of the Republic, then are the bishops who support BLM not likewise corrupt, by definition?

Why have the bishops at the state level (or at least higher than the local bishops) not disciplined or removed the corrupted local bishops, unless the bishops at the state level (or similar) are also corrupted?

And if those at the state level (or similar) are corrupted, why have they not been disciplined or removed by the bishops at the national level, unless the bishops at the national level are corrupted?

And if those at the national level are corrupted, why have they not been disciplined or removed by the bishops at the Vatican, unless the bishops at the Vatican are corrupted?

And if the bishops at the Vatican are corrupted, why have they not been disciplined or removed by the Pope, unless the Pope is corrupted?

And who can discipline or remove the Pope?

        The college of Cardinals?

And if the college of Cardinals is corrupted, who will discipline or remove them?

Who has the highest authority of any man in the organization, and what is the procedure for discipline or removal if the highest man in the organization is corrupt?

  7. Two things to note…one important, the other less so.

Taking the latter first, in his latest thread (below) Carlos Osweda proves he is, in fact, Thomas Wictor. How, you ask?

A: Well, first you need to know a bit about Wictor. And if you know Wictor, you know he is a self-described expert on WWI flamethrowers. He even wrote a book on the topic…

To continue, in his latest thread Osweda (Wictor) tells the tale of a “German flamethrower pioneer of World War One“ as an analogy to who/what PDJT is. A rather obscure reference and remarkable coincidence, I’m sure you would agree.

Then there is “Carlos’ “ picture on his twitter account. Here it is…

I invite anyone who doubts Carlos and Thomas to be the same to simply go to Google, image search “Thomas Wictor”, and compare this photo to any of the other known images of the man.

So, that’s make an obscure reference to a “German flamethrower pioneer of World War One“ in his latest post as well as a published image of himself to prove the connection. Oh yes, and btw…

If Wictor did not want his Osweda nom de guerre to be so easily linked with his real identity he wouldn’t make it so easy. And no, The chances of “Carlos” pretending to be Wictor using this reference to a “German flamethrower pinoeer”, and actually knowing the story told, is practically ZERO.

Now, with this silliness dispatched, on to the far more important point, and that is…

Some among us may have already figured this out and I confess I have been wondering about some of things I was seeing published by it recently. But now, there is no longer any doubt whatsoever.

Yesterday (or the day before) noted Breitbart columnist John Nolte…who had built up a following rhetoricall skewering leftists in his columns, published a piece that was highly critical of PDJT and was not rooted in any kind of reality. Being a former fan of his, I was literally SHOCKED at the obvious and overt turn Nolte has taken. In fact, it is almost as if he was writing the piece as if being blackmailed, and he wanted it to be OBVIOUS.

    But I digress.

In Wictor’s latest piece he shows us how Breitbart has gone over to the dark side, and it’s not pretty.

Well, it turns out that we must re-evaluate or news sources, like Breitbart. WHY?

No need to tell you, my friends, of the intrinsic values of Q Tree. It’s why we are all here…the truth, the enthusiasms, and the optimism found amongst the children of light.

Wictor’s latest piece warns us that one of our media citadels has fallen. Perhaps not completely, hopefully not, but we must now be on our guard when reading anything from there, as Wictor’s piece points out so readily.

And yes, I too think that ‘Carlos Osweda’ is an alias of Wictor’s.
He cannot admit it openly, or Twatter would ban that account too.

Breitbart was Anti-Trump in 2016…and only begrudgingly came around to being less so after PDJT won the nomination.
They were all in for Ted Cruz.

That’s why I’ve been giving Breitbart the side eye since then.

Now that we’re into PTrump’s reelection, some of the Breitbart writers are dropping their masks.

Maybe they think that their viewership will go up if PDJT loses, I dunno.
But since our country would be destroyed if the Dems gain the power of the presidency…it really makes me question where their loyalties lie.

      The Mercers have been quiet.
I wonder what they are up to these days.

They were a benefactor of Breitbart and of Cruz, during 2016…but then endorsed and supported PDJT after he won the nomination.
But after Cambridge Analytica got some bad press, they sort of withdrew and have been quiet ever since.

Second, when it comes to the media being pi$$y about the president, the author of the thread gives us the answer:

“Trump’s support can’t be gauged, and nobody can predict the electoral college vote.”

This being the case, a good percentage of the normal publishing content is both useless and not available. They actually have to do their jobs…which they’re not going to because they’re so out of practice, they don’t know how and don’t want to work that hard.

  12. “When the world looks at the Church getting wrapped up in woke culture…this is what they see. As I’ve said before—this is a religion where theology is replaced by victimology, scholars are replaced by sociologists, and pastors become community organizers as they manage the political climate of the people.”

At a Black Lives Matter protest in Cary, North Carolina, a white woman takes to her megaphone. “We repent on behalf of, uh, Caucasian people,” she shouts, as she calls upon the crowd to kneel before two Black pastors seated before them on a park bench. Several audibly weep as they bow in obeisance.

At a church in Atlanta, Dan Cathy, CEO of Chick-fil-A, genuflects before a Black colleague while shining his shoes in a ritual atoning for the collective “shame” of being White.

In Washington, D.C., thousands kneel at the foot of a monument to Martin Luther King Jr. in penance for the sins presumed to be endemic to their race. On the streets of New York City, a Black man approaches numerous White women and demands that they bow and apologize for who they are. Dozens comply as he videotapes their confessions.

Democratic leaders, wearing the priestly garb of kente stoles, kneel in religious surrender at our nation’s capital.

Evangelical churches, too numerous to count, post “laments” on their websites mourning the “unjust fabric of society.” They call on “those who have light skin to confess their sin of willful obliviousness” and plead indulgence for the assumed immorality that comes with their class and color.

Theological seminary presidents issue decrees that talk of “confessing, systemic racism,” and the presumption of evil that is resident in various shades of melanin.

Welcome to the Church of Holy Wokeness.

Welcome to a church of “collective guilt” rather than one that preaches personal sin.

Welcome to a neo-Marxist church that talks more about class conflict than the good news of salvation, a church of division rather than unity, one of us versus them, of the 99% versus the one, a church of the proletariat versus the bourgeoisie, of balkanization rather than the B-attitudes. Welcome to a church that has more in common with the Cultural Revolution than it does with the Cross of Christ.

Welcome to a church of racists pretending to stand against racism, a church that marches for “love” while fomenting hate. Welcome to a church that is shamelessly intolerant while it pretends to be tolerant, a “non-judgmental” church that rushes to judgment.

Welcome to a church that categorizes people by the color of their skin rather than the content of their character.

Welcome to an “affirming” church, a church that tells you you’re “born that way” rather than you must be “born again.”

Welcome to a church that bows before men while standing against God.

Welcome to a church that worships what it sees in the mirror while denying what it reads in the Bible.

Welcome to a church that has exchanged the truth of God for a lie, a church that worships the created rather than the Creator; a church that has been given over to a debased mind and reprobate heart.

This is the church of intersectionality over the inerrancy. Pay attention to its high priests. Listen to their words. Hear their liturgy: the virtueless virtue signaling; the dog whistles; the shouts to redistribute power and property. Learn their doctrine: the elevation of the group over the individual; the belief in government more than God; the parroting of Marx, Lenin and Mao; the ignorance of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Jesus.

This is America’s church. It is the Church of Group Guilt. It is the cult of “Holy Wokeness.” It is nothing short of a new religion; one that demeans men, degrades women, sacrifices children, elevates revenge and encourages blame. This is a church whose leaders’ minds are dark with confusion. Their theology is an inch deep with compassion and a mile wide with compromise.

“Have nothing to do with such people … Be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 13. Truth Irrelevancy Project Update: “Don’t Bother Analyzing Nonsense”

Authored by Robert Gore via Straight Line Logic,

When traffickers in intellectual gobbledegook have free reign, the Truth Irrelevancy Project’s work is done.

Truth is always the enemy of power. Exposure of power’s motivations, depredations, and corruption never serves power’s ends. Truth is often suppressed and those who disclose it persecuted. Any illegitimate government (currently, all of them) that fails to do so risks its own termination.

What if, instead of suppressing the truth, a regime could render it irrelevant and not have to worry about it? That prospect is the Holy Grail for those who rule or seek to rule.

Robert Gore, “Make the Truth Irrelevant,” Straight Line Logic, October 16, 2019

By now most people recognize war is being waged. “Make the Truth Irrelevant” was published before Covid-19 or the George Floyd protests and riots, but it offers the perspective necessary to understand who is waging war against whom, and what’s at stake.

Science is one way humanity searches for truth. The Covid-19 panic and response are a direct assault on what remains of science. All of the hysteria and the political reaction to it are driven by models and projections, which are nothing more than hypotheses.

    1. This is a brilliant piece. Bookmarked.

      So many excellent statements.

“ “medical science” that warns of the dangers of anti-lockdown and Trump rallies but blesses George Floyd protests destroys the meaning of that term. A double standard is no standard and consideration of either the warning or the blessing is precluded by their self-contradictory idiocy. It is yet another indication of the corruption of medical science, already glaringly evident since the onset of the coronavirus outbreak.”

Of course, the left has been destroying science for more than a decade, and we get such idiocies as “a fetus is not a baby” and ALL of the gender BS, to say nothing of the ridiculous climate garbage.

      1. He’s not a normie by any stretch, he’s an expert in “persuasion”, or the art / science of manipulation and persuasion.

What attracted him to Trump is that he recognized in Trump someone who utilized many of the techniques Adams has studied and used for years, and Adams said Trump does it better than just about anyone (or anyone, I can’t remember now) he has ever seen.

That was during the Trump campaign of 2016, and Adams was explaining Trump to people who wanted to like Trump but couldn’t understand what in the world he was doing. Adams understood it from a ‘professional persuasion expert’ angle, and did a really interesting job of explaining what DJT was doing, and why.

But Adams also goes off in some strange directions sometimes, so I’m never really sure what he’s up to 😂

In this particular case, I think he’s just sowing discord between anti-fa and BLM for the humor benefit of his own Twitter followers. 😁

        1. Yeah, I remember his talks about “master persuader”.

I thought it was kind of irksome…because it sounded like he was calling PDJT a ‘con man’.

Pres Trump says what we’re all thinking.
          He tells the truth.

That may be ‘persuasive’ to people who are undecided…but for the rest of us, it is more of an ‘affirmation’.

          Liked by 6 people

          1. There’s nothing wrong with being a con man per se. It depends on why someone is conning someone else. The term has been assigned a negative connotation by society but truth is that it is an abbreviated version of ‘convince man’ or ‘confidence man’. The cynical among us would disagree, calling it a short version of ‘connive man’. I find it similar to ‘criticize’ which means to analyze objectively but to which society has affixed a negative skin.

            MOO (my opinion only). YMMV.

Beautiful, and evocative of peace and balance (though I did have to slam a 110-year-old French door in the face of an attacking German Shepherd….). Their works are not merely to be regarded, but are also to be experienced through the hours of a day. 19. Color of law tracers

Officials in New York’s Rockland County said Wednesday they are being forced to issue subpoenas to compel people to speak to contact tracers about a coronavirus outbreak because they are not speaking voluntarily.

The drastic step of issuing subpoenas in a contact-tracing investigation illustrates a problem officials have cited around the country, that many people are not answering their phones or cooperating when contact tracers try to talk to them.

The country’s health commissioner, Patricia Rupert, said at a news conference that subpoenas are being issued to eight people who were infected at a recent party in Clarkstown, N.Y., north of New York City, but who are refusing to cooperate with contact tracers seeking to interview them.

“We are not receiving the necessary cooperation when we contact those who are positive for COVID-19 or those who had been at some of these gatherings,” Rupert said. “My staff has been told that a person does not wish to or have to speak to my disease investigators.

Many do not answer their cell phones and do not call back,” she added. “Unfortunately I am now forced by these circumstances to send subpoenas to the individuals who are required to cooperate with us. Failure to comply will be costly: $2,000 per day.”

He said he will not “have the health of our county compromised because of ignorance, stupidity, or obstinance.”

“Forced to issue subpoenas”?!? Apparently these people have never heard of the 5th Amendment, among others.

Former President Barack Obama has attacked his POTUS, declaring that he doesn’t “want to live in Trump’s America.”

Obama has issued a strong rebuke of President Donald Trump, blasting the language he uses during his notorious MAGA/KAG rallies.

The ex-president pointed to Trump’s use of the term “kung flu” while discussing the coronavirus at his recent Tulsa rally, saying the phrase “p**ses me off.”

  22. assault weapon parts being smuggled in from China
The shipment, valued at almost $130,000, originated from Shenzen, China and was intended for a residence in Melbourne, Florida.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Louisville, however, intercepted the illegal weapons deal, emphasizing unreported weapons minimize the U.S.’s “safe and strong” status.

“The importing of any type of munitions is regulated by the ATF,” said Thomas Mahn, Port Director, Louisville. “This smuggler was knowingly trying to avoid detection, however, our officers remain vigilant, ensuring our community is safe.”

The June 26th announcement cast Wall Street Journal reports of illegal firearms appearing around Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests in Louisville and across the country in an interesting – and perhaps foreign – light.
