Dear KMAG: 20200622 Open Topic

This Mighty Warrior Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KMAG/KAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

Yes, it’s Monday…again.

Wheatie’s Word of the Day:

Portmanteau

Portmanteau is a noun that comes from the French words porter, meaning “to carry,” and manteau, meaning “mantle or cloak”, thus the plural of portmanteau is portmanteaux, following the French form for pluralization.

It can refer to a large leather suitcase that opens into two hinged compartments…or it can also refer to a word formed by combining two other words, such as ‘smog’ from combining smoke and fog.

Examples of Portmanteaux: animatronic (animate/electronics), bromance (brother/romance), chocoholic (chocolate + alcoholic), cosplay (costume + play), motel(motor/hotel).

Used in a sentence:

The English language is full of portmanteaux, with new ones being made all the time.

    1. “And now they are tearing now Andrew Jackson in DC. REALLY upset about Jackson being torn down!”

      ______________

That’s exactly what the enemy wants, they want us to be upset.

I idea what OUR side wants, or expects us to DO about it.

Apparently our side wants us upset too.

Somebody wake me up when we’re ready to actually do something about it, I’m all ‘upsetted’ out for today.

  3. It’s the Feast of St. Thomas More and we’re about to watch A Man For All Seasons. I know this won’t go over well here, but I believe the time has come where POTUS simply must do something about the lawlessness and violence. It is not going to end, it’s simply going to snowball and there is too much time before the election to just sit by and do nothing. There will come a point when it cannot be stopped. There will be no respite with a win in November.

I read the recommended threads posted that say all is well and we’re winning. And I look out my window and see a sunny day, birds going about their business and no chaos. But it’s all starting to feel like The Langoliers, with the faint low rumble in the distance that no one can stop.

Enough is enough. How many cops have to die or be maimed? How many whites beat to a pulp? They are destroying cities. DC is being attacked as we speak. BARR said not til after election. You said 2020 election was safe. We can’t withstand anymore. 8 yrs of cops ambushed by Obama was traumatic; DO SOMETHING OR TRUMP WILL LOOSE. WHERE IS WRAY? FIRE WRAY!!! MY HUSBAND IS BLIND PERMANENTLY FROM COVID SCAM CAUSE HOSP REFUSED SURGERY FOR RETINA DETACHMENT CAUSE COVID. PEOPLE ARE SENT HOME W STROKES! WE LOST OUR LIVELIHOOD AND THEY ARE PUSHING FOR ROUND 2 IN MY STATE. I CAN TAKE ANYMORE STRESS. I LOVE TRUMP BUT HE’S LOOKING WEAK. LOOKS LIKE CLINTON OBAMA ARE WINNING. YOU SAID 2020 ELECTION WAS SAFE. THEY ARE GOING TO KILL US ALL IN THESE DEM CITIES. SOMEONE HAS TO HELP THE OFFICERS! THIS PLAN SEEMS CRUEL.

    1. Sounds like that person lives in a Dem-controlled state.

I get that people in blue states want Pres Trump to rescue them from the Demoncrat tyrants that have control there…

But what can he do without looking like a dictator?

Calling this situation “a trap” is an understatement.

The Demoncrats have created a Hostage Situation!
They are torturing the hostages…to try to force Pres Trump into doing something heavy-handed.

      So what can he do?

I hope he comes out and calls this what it is — a Hostage Situation!

      1. Hey Wheatie. Popping in from the much more free South Caroina to comment ..this violence and the very real trashing so much of what we hold dear is permanent . It’s not going to repair itself. Statues, parks, churches, history..gone and not going to come back, blue or red States.

We either have law and order or we don’t. Average criminal thugs have been given the green light to do pretty much whatever they want. Unstable nutters have seen that mayhem and violence is permitted..hell, encouraged whether it’s on property or another human being.

I don’t blame DJT. It’s so far out of control that it will shock me if it slows before militias are formed or average lunkheads start carrying (licensed or not) for protection. Personally I know my anxiety meter is up in any crowd now…will a “protest” erupt spontaneously and it’s my glaring white priv that needs to be checked or my young blue eyed blonde grandkids very presence that offends some shithead.

IN my humble mind..it’s the mindset that is in the red danger zone and it’s not confined to Dem run States

    2. If that is a real post from a real person, I’m sorry about the husband’s loss of sight. At the same time, a detached retina is a medical emergency and should have been treated. And if one hospital wouldn’t do it, maybe another one would have. Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit to me…IF it is real.

People being sent home with strokes is also grounds for a lawsuit, I would think.

The person is lumping 8 years of O, personal family illness, WuFlu, riots, beatings, and problems for police into one huge ball of stress. And it is stressful. But “this plan seems cruel” sounds a little suspect to me. This is not of Pres. Trump’s doing. He has offered help and been refused. The Left wants him to send in the military and have them kill people so everything can explode. (If you think it’s bad now…) That’s how to lose an election and the country.

They need to go to their local law enforcement, mayors, city councils, etc., and let them have it. Also, state reps and the governor’s office. March on city hall, the state house, the governor’s residence, etc.

And stop voting Dem or move out of the area. I know it’s hard and maybe impossible for some, but this is the people’s responsibility.

          1. Thanks for the info. That post sounds fishy to me, as if someone wants to sound conservative but is just so tired, and “why won’t Pres. Trump just do something?”! It’s what the Left wants from us — to be worn out and dissatisfied and to lose our spirit and support for the president. Not happening.

            Liked by 3 people

            1. Not trying to be argumentative but other than the retina thing..the rest is pretty much true and there’s a great many true blue Trump supporting people that don’t have the always faithful, trust the plan network to bolster them when things are looking bleaker and bleaker.
Truth be told, there’s a lot that still think Fox is conservative go-to for news. Many don’t follow any sites on the web. Many probably don’t get the finer details of the dictator trap..they only see things falling apart. They’ll still vote for Potus though.

Protesters are pulling down the giant statue of Andrew Jackson and there are plenty of cameras and thus far no intervention from the police. I have a column in the morning on this pattern of destruction of public art and monuments.

It and the Jackson statue are federal property. Thus, the failure to protect it cannot be blamed on the DC Police. Antifa & BLM wants a trophy across from WH. This is all planned & well-funded.

    .
Federal Parks and Federal Lands are under the Interior Dept.

Now we know why the Dems had to get rid of Ryan Zinke!

Zinke is a warrior…he would not be putting up with this crap.

The current Interior Secretary, Bernhardt…is a lawyer who served in the Bush 2 administration.
He was the deputy secretary under Zinke, and because he had already been confirmed by the Senate, he was moved in to replace Zinke.

This has all been planned for a long time!

Press Secretary: Mayors need to protect their cities

The rampant violence across American cities this past weekend claimed the lives of children as young as 3. It ended the life of a young father. It left more than 100 people shot in Chicago alone.

When local leaders excuse or ignore violence, the consequences are fatal. When corporate media downplays the carnage to fit its narrative, the victim count grows.

“We expect mayors to step up and do their job and governors to step up and do their job—in the mold of President Trump, who secured D.C. after a night of lawlessness two weeks ago,” Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said during a briefing this afternoon.

President Trump took additional action last week to promote safe policing and safe communities. His executive order reserves certain grant money only for law enforcement agencies that meet the highest standards of conduct, including in the use of force.

The President also supports Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) legislation to increase police transparency, incentivize the use of body cameras, and withhold federal money from police departments that continue to permit the use of chokeholds by officers.

Americans want sensible, bipartisan justice reform modeled after President Trump’s First Step Act, which fixed unjust sentencing rules that disproportionately hurt the African-American community. Americans do not want politicians who bow down to the far-left movement to defund the police and excuse the deadly violence on our streets.
