Dear KAG: 20200602 Open Thread

The swamp’s predators have been put on notice. It is now not safe to go in the water.

And now for the nitty gritty of the Q Tree 5 minute, stand up, Tuesday morning meeting version of the Daily Thread.

Ahem.

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

GN 3:9-15, 20

After Adam had eaten of the tree,
the LORD God called to him and asked him, “Where are you?”
He answered, “I heard you in the garden;
but I was afraid, because I was naked,
    so I hid myself.”
Then he asked, “Who told you that you were naked?
You have eaten, then,
from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat!”
The man replied, “The woman whom you put here with me—
she gave me fruit from the tree, and so I ate it.”
The LORD God then asked the woman,
“Why did you do such a thing?”
The woman answered, “The serpent tricked me into it, so I ate it.”

Then the LORD God said to the serpent:
“Because you have done this, you shall be banned
    from all the animals
    and from all the wild creatures;
On your belly shall you crawl,
    and dirt shall you eat
all the days of your life.
I will put enmity between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
He will strike at your head,
while you strike at his heel.”
The man called his wife Eve,
because she became the mother of all the living.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome. Via con Dios.

  1. I’ve bought a few things from Etsy previously and considered “joining their community”…
just got this is an email:

    To the Etsy Community,

The past days and weeks have, once again, shone a spotlight on the tremendous injustices in our society. We stand in solidarity with our employees and communities who are voicing their anguish, anger, and deep frustration with systems that oppress and devalue Black lives.

We stand against police brutality in all forms.
We stand against a criminal justice system that disproportionately targets Black Americans.
We stand against the widespread disenfranchisement of Black and Brown communities whose voices are silenced at the polls.

Allyship with Black communities is as much a moral imperative as a requirement of our business.

We can’t fight for small businesses, if we don’t also fight for the empowerment of Black business owners.
We can’t hire and care for our Black employees, if we don’t also protect Black lives everywhere.
We can’t be there for women employees, if we aren’t also standing up specifically for Black women.
We can’t advocate for parents, if we aren’t standing with Black mothers and fathers who fear for their Black childrens’ lives.

Black Lives Matter is the civil rights movement of our time, because it addresses a fundamental inequality in our society: that Black lives are too often undervalued. This notion inspired Etsy’s own internal commitments from diversity and inclusion to economic empowerment.

We also believe that it’s critical to provide support to organizations working tirelessly for criminal justice reform and those that assist Black-led institutions. That’s why today we are announcing donations of $500,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative and $500,000 to Borealis Philanthropy’s Black-Led Movement Fund, as well as matching employee donations. We encourage our community to join us in supporting these important organizations.

Etsy is built on a belief that communities have the power to change the status quo. Change is hard-fought, and we are committed to this fight.

I stopped buying from Penzey spices for that very reason. It’s as though if you do not believe the way they do, the hell with you…don’t need nor want your business.
Of course, the role model for that is Silicon Valley and Facebook, Twitter, etc.

      1. If that tweet from Sen Collins was accurately portrayed, four things immediately come to mind:

        1. The right to peacefully protest does not convey the right to block a public thoroughfare with that protest.
        2. That crowd was not peaceful, having been taunting the police and occasionally throwing objects.
        3. Tear gas was not used on that crowd, just smoke without the irritant.

        1. Right… remember the incident at the southern border, last year ? when they were bringing in the caravans, and they accused BP of using tear gas and BP said it was smoke cannisters. There was a photo of woman with two children, media was claiming they were running from the tear gas. Turned out later, it was all staged, there were photos of the woman elsewhere in similar phony circumstances, and the children weren’t even hers… (maybe being trafficked)

It’s all smoke and mirrors and some peeps are believing it, but I truly think most are NOT. I still believe Deep State media has the megaphone and creates an illusion of a division… 1/2 the country one way, 1/2 another. It’s no such thing. Black people are seeing how they are again being used by the DIMs.

This had me spittin’ mad when I first heard it. My anger has only grown since. I do not do any social media at all (unless this tree counts) so I am asking for anyone with twitter access to post this question to the “Right Rev.”

I’m curious. Who gave you a courtesy call to let you know they were going to set one of your churches (no doubt the most historic, significant one in your diocese) on fire hoping to burn it down while using it as a prop and statement piece for their anarchist rioting?

Apparently someone did call, and you seemingly approved because nowhere have I found your public statement admonishing them for not doing so.

“Additionally I had some interesting conversations with relatives about their experiences participating in the Lansing, MI protests, & the online groups continuing to plan further protest activities. Another relative has a friend who’d lived in China & had heard through her about many of the things I’ve posted previously about (using the CV as an excuse to kill off Hong Kong protesters, killing people in the streets including burning people alive in the mobile crematoria, etc). She had told my relation that she’d heard through her Chinese contacts that President Trump had told China to stop killing their people in the streets or the US would be sending troops to China & we would be going to active war. This is the first I’ve heard this perspective & have yet to verify its validity. We are (obviously) already at war with China on a number of fronts & the fact that they unleashed a bio-weapon on the West was just one of the many ways the Chinese have been functioning on an asymmetrical warfare footing with the US & the world for some time now…anyway it was nice to discover so many family members to Not have been duped by the unrelenting fear-mongering & propaganda so pervasive in Michigan!”

I never understood why it was abandoned.

You create very small units that have every single weapon available: infantry, artillery, armor, airpower, and now SPACE power.
I think political leaders clung to the idea of wars of expansion or occupation or regime change.

The new war is to simply make the enemy stop fighting.

We aren’t going to get involved in regime change or occupation or expansion.

What we need are small, lethal units.
We’re going to have small, outrageously armed units all over the Pacific. If necessary, they’ll obliterate a Chinese attempt at expansion by force.

But we won’t invade China or Iran.

    1. They did this smear attempt during the 2016 campaign – with both fake accusations of women, the Billy Bush recording and the racial violence.

Of course, the RINOs went along with it and chided and derided Trump.

You can be sure Romney and Rubio will fall on the anti-Trump side.

      1. Watching the crowds gathering again and came to post about this. They’re are children who want to lash out at their parents but they never got knocked on their ass. Are they planning on going home anytime soon? because this long ago stopped being a protest, it’s insurrection but it looks like every leftist around is out there to continue it. Pretty big crowds in some of those cities too.

      1. This is a site meme. This site was very small and rarely got over 30 comments on a thread, before Sundance expelled all the “Q people” from CTH. As it grew, we finally hit 500 comments on a thread, and so I took an image from the movie “300” and changed it to “500”. I think I did a post on the topic back then, celebrating that 500 comment thread. After that, it just grew.

        Speaking of which…… INCOMING!!! 😀

      1. A pallet of brick left alone outside a locked area would be GONE within 24 hours. I have seen it happen out here in the boonies. Same with a pile of wood or any building materials for that matter.

  13. Here is a despicable story from NBCL posted on Drudge, blaming “white nationalists” for the destruction and rabble rousing.

    It completely exonerates antifa.

This is why we must round up and prosecute the perpetrators in a very public way. The American people deserve the truth.

Btw, I still read Drudge so I can find out what the day’s diet of propaganda will be against the President and American Patriots.

  14. This is a cooor revolution. First new article on this angle.

    FTA

“This is about bringing in a violent revolution and imposing global communism on America. It’s apparant that they want to provoke a race war, while claiming that President Trump is the one being divisive. The Democrats and the MSM refuse to condemn ANTIFA and the violence raging across our country. States and cities that are run by Democrats have ordered law enforcement to stand down, allowing small businesses to be looted and innocent people to be attacked. The Democrats and Leftists repeatedly take to Twitter and appear on the MSM to call the protests “peaceful” while simultaneously spewing venom about how terrible America is, and how racist we all are.

They create the conditions for chaos, ordering police to stand down, stoking hatred and division, letting rioters and terrorists know, they can do whatever they want. They can get away with whatever they want. Then when innocent people have been killed, when communities have been burnt to the ground, and Trump finally has to mobilize the National Guard or U.S. Military to restore order, they will try to call him a “tyrant” and a “dictator” and “evil” and then they will claim he is “going to war against the American people,” which in actually is precisely what they just did.”

      This was too easy….”
