Dear KMAG: 20200529 Open Topic

This FRIDAY THE JUNETEENTH open thread is OPENVERY OPEN – as in LET’S OPEN UP ALREADY – but don’t open up on a looter unless the LAW is on your side – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA / KAG! / KMAG world (KMAG being a bit of both MAGA and KAG!).

You can say what you want, comment on what other people said, and so on.

Free Speech is practiced here. ENJOY IT. Use it or lose it.

Keep it SOMEWHAT civil. They tried to FORCE fake Orwellian civility on us. In response, we CHOOSE true civility to defend our precious FREEDOM from THEM.

Our rules began with the civility of the Old Treehouse, later to become the Wolverinian Empire, and one might say that we have RESTORED THE OLD REPUBLIC – the early high-interaction model of the Treehouse – except of course that Q discussion is not only allowed but encouraged, and speech is considerably freer in other ways. Please feel free to argue and disagree with the board owner, as nicely as possible.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the OLD January 1st , 2019 open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven.

Our movement

Is about replacing

A failed

Political establishment

With a new government controlled

By you, the American People.

Candidate Donald J. Trump

Also remember Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Seriously – FRANCE just banned use of HCQ for treating COVID-19.

Looks like there is going to be a SCIENCE and MEDICINE FIGHT in the middle of RIOTS and DECLAS.

    1. “Now things get really interesting. Are these guys carrying live ammo?”

It would be stupid to be carrying fake ammo.

Why would they carry fake ammo into a potential fight, unless the objective was to show the military getting wiped out by a bunch of street thugs?

That’s the kind of thing only a traitorcrat would do.

None of this happens by accident, none of it is organic or naturally occurring, all of it is orchestrated.

        It’s an insurgency.

The Left is using the tactics learned in the middle east and other islamic crapholes.

Not to mention the number of Somalis actually living in Minnesota. Apparently 74,000 as of 2016.

        That’s a good sized army.

It was enough to get Wuhan Omar elected.

If you’re gonna loot, we gotta shoot! 😁

The beauty of it is that it’s conditional, which puts the onus on the looter, not on the National Guard.

From a messaging standpoint, the National Guard has no choice but to shoot, if you’re gonna loot 👍

  2. Some explain this to me.

    Derek Chauvin

    Nicolas Chauvin

Nicolas Chauvin (French: [ʃɔvɛ̃]) is a legendary, possibly apocryphal French soldier and patriot who is supposed to have served in the First Army of the French Republic and subsequently in La Grande Armée of Napoleon. His name is the eponym of chauvinism, originally a term for excessive nationalistic fervor, but later used to refer to any form of bigotry or bias (e.g., male chauvinism).

        1. I read something somewhere that contained some interesting stats on gun ownership. I have no idea how these people can possibly know their data is any good given how cagey a lot of people are about their firearms, but here it is:

The top three percent of people who own guns tend to own a LOT of them (>25). If you look at the other 97% of people who own guns, the average is three guns.

Now, if anyone feels challenged by this and needs to get a couple of more guns to go over the magic “25” number, I am not going to complain, and neither is the nearest gun shop.

  4. I’ve come to believe that the word “regulated” in the Second Amendment was intended to convey a meaning closer to “outfitted”, as in “stocked with necessary items in good order.” If you change that one word, the entire 2A reads more easily and it makes sense to have that clause there. Instead, the regulatory state has consistently tried to force the meaning of “obeys regulations” into the word.

It is also to be noted that British professional soldiers at the time were known as “Regulars”.

    Liked by 16 people

    1. I have always read it like that, to mean that supplies and munitions were regulated — stocked, as you say; in good order — not that people were regulated.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

When you read it like that it makes perfect sense. The people are to be armed well and in good order so they can be part of the militia to secure the free state.

      1. One implication being, perhaps some standardization of equipment. Which back then would simply have meant all the muskets are the same caliber so there’s no problem with the balls being the wrong size for someone’s weapon. (This is over and above “well-maintained.”)

Today of course with our more advanced weaponry it means a good stock of parts, all the same model so the parts work for everyone, AND all accepting the same, standard magazines.

    2. Regulate:
transitive verb To control or direct according to rule, principle, or law.
transitive verb To adjust to a particular specification or requirement.
transitive verb To adjust (a mechanism) for accurate and proper functioning.

      Same Latin root as Regular

Middle English, from Late Latin regulatus, past participle of regulare, from Latin regula rule

      adj. Customary, usual, or normal.
      adj. Orderly, even, or symmetrical.
adj. In conformity with a fixed procedure, principle, or discipline.

It’s interesting to see the progression of language change. It surprises many people to hear that the word “silly” meant something akin to “sacred” in the Middle Ages, and has gone through a lot of semantic shift.

  9. IMO, there’s one underlying component to this mass rioting, and it’s directly related to the 2 1/2 month shutdown/shut in that’s been tyrannically applied across the country.

There’s a psychological reaction that happens when people are bombarded into a state of fear and panic – it happens alongside of the actual physical changes in their lives – job loss, family stress, isolation, etc.

Some, not all, but certainly some of this is related to a subconscious reaction to the oppressive government state which descended on our lives mid-March, 2020. The pent up mental angst had to go somewhere…

  10. One of the most memorable classes I ever had in college was given by a TA. IIRC, it was Econ101 — certainly an upper division general Econ class. We had the big lecture in the giant hall where the Professor could orate to his heart’s content, but now we were going to have multiple one-hour follow-on lessons.

At the first class, there was some administrative paperwork, and the TA kicked it off with a question: “what is Economics?” There was the usual undergrad flailing about until someone came up with, “Economics is a Social Science” — which got a quick “good” from the TA. followed quickly with, “what is a Social Science?”

This (as fully intended) engendered more — and more chaotic — flailing that he let continue for some time.

Then he laid down a truth bomb. “A Social Science is an academic study that says, ‘human behavior can be explained by X’ — and the different values of X mark the boundaries of the different disciplines. History says that X is ‘what people have done before.’ Freudian psychiatry says that X is ‘the interplay of id, libido, and ego’. Sociology says X is ‘mob behavior’. Political Science says it’s ‘the political framework and its machinations’. Anthropology says X is ‘culture’. Linguistics says that X is ‘the thought-units that can be expressed in a language’.”

Coming from such a strong exposition, he continued, “…..and Economics is the strongest and most powerful of all the social sciences, both for its predictive abilities and real-world interactions…..because it begins with, ‘human behavior can be explained by GREED’.” [Mind you, this was no slur — it was well-understood in this department that “greed” was a simple desire to better one’s circumstances.]

    Just a random memory….

What TF is wrong with people??? The President of the United States of America is NOT threatening to shoot people!!!! How STOOPID are these people??? nevermind, don’t answer that
Jackboot better back off POTUS, pain is coming🤬

  12. Well, that’s freakin’ helpful…..

There are some news reports that say “protesters” overran the precinct office where the cop that supposedly killed George Floyd worked, and set a fire to burn it. That will surely make it easier to check his records and examine evidence in order to prosecute him. /s

    1. Think of all the ‘evidence lockers’ in all of those precinct HQ’s that have been burned…

That’s where the evidence for pending cases is stored…right?

So now, hundreds of cases just went up in smoke?
This alone could be a big reason for torching those buildings.

      1. Weren’t there more Precinct HQ’s that were torched?

I saw a blurb that mentioned 5 were burning.
Don’t know if that was 5 in addition to the first one…which is where the four police officers were from.

Someone could’ve burned the other ones as ‘cover’ for the first one.
To make that one seem more random.

Remember all the harassment during the 2018 election, this is just another organized distraction. Look for this race crap to continue through the long hot summer into the fall.

They have resorted to harassment during the 2018 election.

And they are having resort to a virus pandemic and race violence during the 2020 election.

All to distract from their ruinous fiscal and social policies, the murder of the elderly in the nursing homes, their utter incompetence and from Øbastard’s illegal and unconstitutional spying and his politicization and weaponization of every agency of government….the collusion with foreign governments – TREASON and Sedition.

  14. People are weighing in on Twitter’s jack-booted censoring of our President.

Twitter, Inc. has now commandeered and censored the transmission of a public message from the Commander-in-Chief regarding an emergency situation and the National Guard.

This is out of bounds. Get a court injunction. This merits it.

    Overplaying your hand, Twitter.

MINNEAPOLIS — The unarmed black man who died after being pinned to the ground by a white cop, sparking riots in Minneapolis, reportedly knew his alleged killer.

Ex-cop Derek Chauvin and George Floyd both worked as security guards at the El Nuevo Rodeo club and restaurant in the city.

  17. It looks like the insider knowledge on “science” is starting to trickle out:

    The Delusion Called Fauci
    By Jon Rappoport

    Jon Rappoport’s blog

    May 29, 2020

…here is a very serious statement from a former editor of one of those “places,” the New England Journal of Medicine:

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.” (Dr. Marcia Angell, NY Review of Books, January 15, 2009, “Drug Companies & Doctors: A Story of Corruption)

And here is another one, from the editor-in-chief of the prestigious journal, The Lancet, founded in 1823:

“The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness…”

“The apparent endemicity of bad research behaviour is alarming. In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their preferred theory of the world. Or they retrofit hypotheses to fit their data. Journal editors deserve their fair share of criticism too. We aid and abet the worst behaviours. Our acquiescence to the impact factor fuels an unhealthy competition to win a place in a select few journals. Our love of ‘significance’ pollutes the literature with many a statistical fairy-tale…Journals are not the only miscreants. Universities are in a perpetual struggle for money and talent…” (Dr. Richard Horton, editor-in-chief, The Lancet, in The Lancet, 11 April, 2015, Vol 385, “Offline: What is medicine’s 5 sigma?”)

    1. The idea that one of the most helpful entities against disease/viruses, etc. is known to be natural sunlight and fresh air – and has been suppressed/discouraged – makes it clear that this about politics, not health.

Even our ancestors of a 100 years ago had more common sense than what we’re seeing today. Sunlight has always been a great disinfectant…

Twitter has abandoned any attempt at a good faith application of its rules.

  21. new House rules allowing proxy votes–allows Congressmen to skip their JOBS and go watch the Space Launch…smh…
Citing health concerns over the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, two House members that voted by proxy Wednesday skipped out on their constitutional duties in Washington to attend the historic space launch in Florida, which was ultimately postponed until Saturday due to inclement weather.

“I am unable to physically attend proceedings in the House Chamber due to the ongoing public health emergency,” Florida Democratic Rep. Charlie Crist explained in a letter to the House clerk delegating another Florida lawmaker to vote in his place.

On Wednesday afternoon however, Crist said he was in Florida enjoying the “watershed moment for American space exploration” at the launch.

Looking forward to attending today’s historic manned @SpaceX launch to @Space_Station – the first from American soil since 2011 and first ever on a commercial spacecraft. Huge step for space exploration and Florida!

    — Rep. Charlie Crist (@RepCharlieCrist) May 27, 2020

Another Florida Democratic Congressman, Darren Soto, wrote the same letter to the House clerk explaining that the “ongoing public health emergency” is keeping him from Washington to cast his own vote. Soto however, missed no opportunity to attend this week’s launch at the Kennedy Space Center.

Wishing @AstroBehnken and @Astro_Doug the best of luck as they lead us into a new era of space flight. Honored to be at @NASAKennedy today to experience this milestone!

        1. Yep, I noticed that too. Somewhere there was a post saying different videos of the FFscene didn’t match – different cars, officers, crowds, etc., although all the videos were supposed to be of the same thing.

Could it be that a number of faked videos were accidentally released at the same time for the same thing?

  24. what’s the rule about not jumping to conclusions? County Attorney warns there IS additional evidence that does not support a criminal filing against LEO in Floyd case…
Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman stressed the need to see all the evidence before jumping to a conclusion regarding the death of George Floyd.

Addressing reporters at a Thursday afternoon press conference, Freeman mentioned that he had seen evidence that may exonerate Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was videotaped kneeling on the neck of Floyd for several minutes.

“My job, in the end, is to prove he violated a criminal statute, and there’s other evidence that does not support a criminal charge,” Freeman said. “We need to wade through all of that evidence and to come through with a meaningful determination, and we’re doing that to the best of our ability.”

Well, lookie here…Hussein called them “thugs” too!

The news keeps calling the riot in Minneapolis a protest.

Trump said they are thugs and should be treated like criminals and not protestors

The democrats better not complain about Trumps harsh rhetoric. What would their dear lord Obama say???
