20200412: America Getting Back to Work – MAGA ON! Kickin’ CoVid and Dems to the Curb!

That’s right – America is getting ready to go back to work! People are ready to kick the Corona Virus to the curb and our wanna-be “Democrat” overlords to the curb. Thank you to our dearest, Michael, for filling in for me and all of us, yesterday.

It’s amazing to see how regular Americans are responding to “social distancing”.

We’ll get through this crisis, together. As a group, there is probably no one better prepared than we are.Your comments and updates are most welcome. PLEASE continue to post your valuable information, hard source links, and local observations within these Daily Threads. Additionally, we will try to include links to government and official pressers, so those who no longer have cable can remain informed.

(Hard Link for any WH Presser when available)

For our newcomers: The Q Tree community has been diligent in covering the threat of Coronavirus, COVID19, Wuhan FLU. We started accumulating information about this virus in mid-late January, in what became almost weekly threads. We’ve been weeks, if not months, ahead of MSM outlets to vet rumors and other medical papers, etc.

Primary Update Links:

In our past weekly threads, we assembled information on the following:

  • Primary update links. The dashboard from Johns Hopkins which counts “official” cases all over the world, the CDC, and WHO, and includes the links for our past threads.
  • Hard Data Medical Information- Explanation about testing, reliance on China for drugs, analysis of NE Journal of Medicine results and other published papers.

    1. 😉👍

You commented that you liked the look of the SR-71 in the Open Post. Did you know?

They flew so high they could easily see the curvature of the Earth. Above 80,000 feet, normal mission altitudes (nearly sixteen miles high), the sky overhead is deep blue, almost black, and stars are distinct and visible at noon. They flew so fast they could literally pass a speeding bullet. Cruising speed exceeded 2,100 miles per hour, three times the speed of sound.

The plane’s two-man crew, a pilot and reconnaissance systems operator, ate special meals before a flight and breathed pure oxygen. The oxygen purged nitrogen from their bloodstreams and prevented the high-altitude problem of severe cramping. In flight, the temperature on certain portions of the SR-71’s titanium skin neared 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Expansion from the heat made the plane grow nine inches longer during a normal flight than when it was sitting on the ground. Prior to takeoff and building up the speed and skin temperature, the plane literally leaked jet fuel through it’s seams, a known and intentional thing.

There were only 85 pilots and RSO’s who ever qualified to fly it, a very small fraternity, and like U2 pilots they wore quasi-space suits during their missions. Why?

Because at mission altitudes above 63,000’ loss of cockpit pressurization or forced ejection led to this problem….

If you ever have a layover at Washington Dulles, take a 5 min. Uber over to the Smithsonian’s Air & Space storage facility, called the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, and go stand next to one….and a lot of other historic aircraft, including the Space Shuttle Discovery (you can walk underneath it, it’s heat tiles scorched from it’s last mission to space). Entry is free, but be careful and keep your eye on the time. You can lose many hours there incredibly easy.

      1. FG&C, I had the privilege to have an up close and personal tour of a F-22 Raptor in Alaska a few years ago. Amazing aircraft for sure, you don’t realize it until your next to it. I remember the sign on the wall before we went in. WARNING Restricted Area ……… Use of deadly force authorized.

      2. It’s on our bucket list. We just learned our neighbor – a pilot for United – was recruited by NASA for several years to fly the 747 that transported the various shuttles. So cool!

        1. Katie, that IS cool. I watched a few transports land with the shuttles on them on tv. Amazing!!

      3. Incredible, FG&C. The engineering feats and pilot & mechanic skills are simply beyond a layman’s ability to comprehend, but it doesn’t decrease our admiration.

Somewhere in the recesses of my mind, your mention of U2 pilots reminds me that my Uncle did something exceptional during his time in the Air Force. I’m going to look up the family records and see what his career entailed. Will let you know 🤓

        1. Indeed. The SR71 is truly a standout aircraft. Here’s another tidbit (among hundreds about this plane) you might like…

The plane is made of Titanium because it is the only metal that can withstand the rigors of repeatedly heating up to 1,000F without melting or losing it’s shape. It flew so fast that air molecules hitting the skin heated the plane up to these incredible temps. Anyway, the problem was the USA does not have appreciable deposits of Titanium, and none of our allies did either. So where did we get it?

A: The CIA set up shell companies overseas, who then purchased it from the USSR, who we wanted to use the plane to spy on! 😎

Also, interested to know what you learn about your uncle. Always love to hear about a family member’s service.

    1. CNBC Television: Coronavirus: German study shows COVID-19 might not be fatal as previously thought.
      91,619 views•Apr 9, 2020

Professor Hendrick Streeck, University of Bonn director of the Institute of Virology and Institute for HIV Research, joins ‘Closing Bell’ to discuss the university’s antibody study and what it means for the coronavirus pandemic.

The world is reeling from the coronavirus pandemic, and some countries are reeling more than others.

But Germany seems to be taking the epidemic in its stride with a high number of cases but a low number of deaths, thanks to a number of factors.

In Europe, while Italy and Spain are the worst hit countries with over 100,000 cases each, as of Friday, Germany has recorded 84,794 confirmed cases but has witnessed just 1,107 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

The low mortality rate in Germany, at just over 1%, is far below its neighboring European countries, and this has been put down to Germany’s decision to implement widespread testing of people suspected of having the virus, as opposed to Italy or the U.K.’s decision to only test symptomatic cases.

Karl Lauterbach, a professor of health economics and epidemiology at the University of Cologne, and a politician in the Social Democratic Party (SPD) of Germany, told CNBC that Germany’s less severe experience of the pandemic so far was down to a handful of factors.

    1. A couple of significant points:

Because we are doing more widespread testing, I would expect our case number to look higher even if the actual number of cases is the same. Yet it is lower, so that tells me the actual number of cases must be lower, perhaps much lower, since FGIUKS is (effectively) understating cases by even more than we are and still shows a higher number.

Our death numbers are lower, too, and that’s harder to under-report out of ignorance because in most cases these are people who were in hospitals and would have been tested. (It has been accused of being overreported.)

Our breakout, however, is younger than the one in Europe, especially Italy. I suspect the best comparison can be made between the US and the group of European countries…after this is over.

I think it will turn out that the fact that we took mitigation measures earlier (relative to the start in our country) than they did will turn out to have saved quite a number of lives.

  1. Been thinking about the backgrounds of the 2 doctors (Birx and Fauci). They both had backgrounds in fighting HIV.

They both never thought that the American people would cooperate with the CDC guidelines as well as we have to slow the spread.

Could their background in with HIV have affected their thinking about American’s willingness to follow guidelines?

Took a LONG time for Americans to stop risky behavior regarding HIV. Really, Many have never stopped risky behavior.

I wonder if their expereince trying to get Americans to modify their behavior re HIV colored their thinking regarding how Americans would modify behavior to mitigate for WuFlu and the likelihood of mitigation working and to what extent they predicted/believed mitigation would work?

IDK…just something I keep thinking about and mulling over….

    1. Their concept of modifying human behavior was BUMPKAS.

The LGBT folks are deeply entrenched in what they do – they were not going to change.

Ordinary citizens, however, will change given reason that seems logical, and also if there is fear in the mix.

So Fauci and Birx were wrong about behavioral modification.

But someone was RIGHT about behavioral modification, and said that they COULD cause Americans to do some pretty crazy things in the right environment of reason and fear. . . not exactly who but someone else can speculate as to who came out ahead on the experiment.

Most people, when they really understand the dangers of STDs, will self control. I remember talking with a professor years ago, very candid guy enjoyed talking with him, he said that the 70s were so much fun. He said could get laid with a girl at any party. But when HIV came along, all that stopped. The girls wouldn’t do it anymore – they were afraid of getting AIDS. LGBT however are on another plane of risk-taking, they often believed it would make them more gay when they were HIV+. This was not a representative sample of society. Remember too, people like Fauci and Birx treating the HIV epidemic, those kind of people would have had to be left leaning in their political thinking.

So I’m not sure if their experiences colored their thinking as rose-colored glasses so much as served as an exterior coat of black paint over their designer sunglasses blocking all light to get through.

Incidentally that same professor later asked me my opinion on the 2008 election cycle, at the time the primaries between Obama and HRC were in full swing, versus McCain. He felt, I think correctly at the time, that younger people were not very excited about the slate of candidates and would probably end up in large part (not all) sitting the election out.

      1. Remember how steamed the fat black reporter got about the Surgeon General mentioning overweight, diabetes, heart disease being a factor in African American complications and death from COVID 19?

She was madder about that than his use of endearments for relatives in black and hispanic families, such as Big Mama, PawPaw, Abuela, etc..

        1. In other words, the reporter was a fat militant – and did not accept behavior/habits were a factor.

The LBGT community wants to have their cake and eat it too. They refuse to accept their lifestyles/ways/means are high risk, ungodly and the diseases are the consequence of their actions.

They only want a vaccine/cure so they can continue in their sin.

Would we expect efficacy for people self-treating CV with PQQ – Pyrroloquinoline Quinone?

We are proud to introduce our new vegetarian PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone) with 20mg per serving. PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone) helps support antioxidant health.** Antioxidants are nutrients that help counter the destructive nature of free radicals and assist in maintaining good health.**

        1. The one identified mechanism of action (there could be more) of the quinolones is ionphore to allow the zinc into the cells to inhibit viral replication. Quercetin and Green Tea (extract or long steeped) both work for this as well.

And some are reporting that by using a chelated zinc (picolinate or orotate) also facilitates moving the zinc from outside to inside the target cells.

It is possible that quinine has other helpful effects, but it also can affect tissue matrix development leading to torn tendons and other problems for some people.

I cold brew my Gun Powder Green tea at least over night and take Ca, Mg, Zn & D3. Maybe that is why I almost never get the flu (twice in 70 years) and very rarely get colds. I never drank coffee and have been drinking tea ever since I can remember.

        2. er… correction… it may be only the qinolones with a florine atom have this problem… “black box” warning for tendon damage.

While typical drug side effects reactions are mild to moderate, sometimes serious adverse effects occur.
In 2016, the U.S. FDA stated that serious side effects generally outweighed the benefits for people with acute sinusitis, acute bronchitis, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections when other treatment options are available. In 2008, the FDA added black box warnings on all fluoroquinolones, advising of the increased risk of tendon damage. In 2016, the FDA found that when used s…

        3. This may be a good question to ask…

          Is quinolone bacteriostatic or cidal?
it appears that it is bacteriostatic at lower doses where the main mechanism of action is blocking certain cellular processes. At higher doses, it is considered bactericidal when it fragments the chromosome: “The hallmark of quinolone action is formation of cleaved complexes.”

So far I’m only seeing metabolic activity as being important. There could be other important actions I’m not seeing put out there, but the warnings for the floroquinolones are not just minor. I know of at least one person that was crippled for life from a course of one of those antibiotics.

        4. Yeah, stay away from the fluoroqinolones.

Are fluoroquinolones really more dangerous than other antibiotics?
Though no antibiotics are without consequence, the cellular destruction done by fluoroquinolones makes them far more dangerous than other antibiotics. Fluoroquinolones should be categorized as chemo drugs along with all other topoisomerase interrupters.

Now that is an anti-metabolite type of side effect you don’t really want to have!

What is WORSE than denying people their FREEDOM? What is WORSE than Arresting or FINING HEALTHY people who are simply out ALONE? What is WORSE than telling the Religious they cannot WORSHIP, in a drive through, in their CAR, with the WINDOWS up? What is WORSE than telling people that IF they assemble to worship, they will be TRACKED DOWN, and FORCIBLY quarantined even IF they are HEALTHY?

What is WORSE than attempting to BAN the sale of guns and ammo during this? What is WORSE than banning the sale of seeds, VEGTABLE seeds? What is WORSE than BANNING the sale of American flags during this?

What is WORSE than BANNING the private USE of Chloroquine, via PERSCRIPTION by a DOCTOR to people who are sick or DYING, DESPITE the LAW of right to try?

What is WORSE than telling people they cannot visit their FAMILY or NEIGHBOR unless they need care, even if HEALTHY?

What is WORSE than forcing business, most SMALL businesses who CAN and WOULD take precautions to limit exposures as well as or BETTER than the LARGE businesses who REMAIN open like Wal-Mart?

What is WORSE than a stay at home or shelter in place order when you are HEALTHY?

What is worse than being told you CANNNOT attend a loved ones FUNERAL?

What is WORSE than being told that you cannot say goodbye to a loved one DYING in a hospital?

What is WORSE than closing MOST businesses, and canceling ALL elective and NON life threatening medical procedures, But keeping ABORTION clinics OPEN?

What is WORSE than arresting a man at a soccer field in FRONT of his 6 year old DAUGHTER, for being “outside” with her?

What is WORSE than pulling an elderly man OFF a PUBLIC bus, for simply NOT wearing a mask, DESPITE the fact that two of the officers did NOT wear masks?

What is WORSE than a policeman in Mississippi telling a AFRICAN AMERICAN Pastor his “right’s were suspended” and FINING churchgoers $500.00 EACH?

What is worse than restricting travel across state lines, in you OWN vehicle, and you are HEALTHY?

What is worse than using cell phones and auto GPS systems to try and TRACK people, HEALTHY people, to make SURE they are “obeying”?

What is worse than the idea of vaccine ID cards being floated (do you have your Papers? How very NAZI of them)?

What is worse than ALL of this being perpetuated, enacted, continued and EXPANDED almost daily based upon a “projection” that has been revised DOWN so many times it looks like a countdown timer? An OBVIOUS LIE?

What is worse than DESTROYING the greatest economy in the history of the WORLD, taking away the peoples freedoms, infringing on their rights, destroying their livelihoods and retirements, destroying their businesses, sequestering the HEALTHY, arresting or fining those that do not “comply”, and adding MORE infringement and “rules” EACH day?

What do we WAIT for Steve? Do we wait until they SHOOT the violators?

Do we WAIT till they load TRAINS full of Christians, Jews, Catholics, and other religions onto trains and have they taken to interment camps?

Do we wait till those people are starved, enslaved, and finally gassed and burred in MASS graves?

NO, Steve, we have SEEN this script BEFORE. And men such as you and others STOOD BY and said” well if we do this or that, it was in the name of safety” Or “we did not know or expect it to get this bad” Hey how about “it is only the Sudatenland, it is ONLY Poland”?

NO THANK YOU. This is how this SHIT starts, and we KNOW once it starts how it ENDS. Ask an older Jewish Holocaust survivor. Ask ANYONE from Cuba, Or those former Soviet occupied countries. Ask an older East German.

Call this a RANT, DAMN right it is a RANT. HERE and NO DAMN FURTHER. IF these people continue to do this, and our current Govt fails, you better damn well be prepared to do what is necessary to ENSURE that we HAVE a Constitution to infringe.

You act like the Constitution is, and HAS NOT been under assault by these very people for DECADES.

You claim we would then be know better than them, I say yes we would, WE would simply be ACTING, while THEY and the enables FIDDLE.

Orwell WARNED us in 1948 with BOTH 1984 and Animal Farm. THIS is how it STARTS, it GETS worse. They FLAUNT the LAW and the Constitution HOPING we simply continue to “let it slide, we do not want to be like them” BULLSHIT. The very fact that we will FIGHT for our rights IF necessary is the thing that makes US not like them.

“The tree of Liberty must be fertilized from time to time with the blood of tyrants and patriots” Thomas Jefferson

“Give me Liberty, or give me DEATH” Patrick Henry. Great men, FOUNDERS. Do you DOUBT what they would be doing seeing what is happening TODAY? I Don’t.

I t would not be the END of the Constitution, it would be the REESTABLISHMENT of the rule of law and a MESSAGE to those in the future who try and take it away!

  5. Coronavirus: Turkey says hydroxychloroquine dramatically reduces pneumonia cases

The Turkish official told MEE that the drug was effective against pneumonia, which is seen as among the leading causes of death for coronavirus patients.

Most of the patients taken to intensive care or who are put on ventilators are there because they have developed pneumonia.

“The minister, instead of underlying the importance of the drug itself, has pointed out the benefit of using the drug in the early stages, before the patient becomes severely ill,” the official said.

Statistics released by the Turkish health ministry on Tuesday showed that since beginning the treatment, new cases of lung disease among coronavirus patients have greatly decreased.

On 24 March, 60 percent of coronavirus cases registered were patients with pneumonia, while on 6 April that had fallen to 19.5 percent.

      1. Not claiming to fully grasp the legalese or implications here…

But couldn’t this blanket immunity also apply to using (Hydroxy)Chloroquine & Azithromycin &/or Zinc, etc? Couldn’t this basically allow those of us trapped in police states, like Michigan, to have access to such a measure as well as to protect the doctors & pharmacists whom our governor threatened to pull the licenses of if they prescribed &/or dispensed such a drug combo. Oh & if anyone wants the HCQ & Z but they are not hospitalized or in intensive care it’s currently not “allowed”…wouldn’t getting these meds earlier be exactly what this liability protection might provide?

I just posted a summary of Dr. FAUCI’s interview with the editor of the JAMA. Don’t see the posting on this thread yet, I hope it’s not in the bin.
Dr. Fauci basically DOWNPLAYS what he’s saying on other sites like BB and CNN. But pushes for other things like physical distancing all over the U.S.
AND he hints that there will be ANOTHER outbreak of the Wuhan Coronavirus in the U.S. in September-October of this year.
This interview is IMPORTANT to listen to.

OTOH, the comments by Dr. Fauci on BB and CNN show the next phase of the plot to first, discredit POTUS, then remove him as soon as possible (either by another Impeachment, or by giving the White House to Joe Biden [Hillary Clinton] in November).

Please listen to this interview between DR. ANTHONY FAUCI and DR. HOWARD BAUCHNER, Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association (AMA).

THIS interview is the viewpoint of the AMA on the Wuhan Coronavirus AND on POTUS’ response to it PLUS the efforts of Dr. Fauci to push the “vaccine is the only answer” meme.
Pro Tip: FIRST QUESTION to Dr. Fauci: “How do you rate President Trump’s response to the pandemic?” (paraphrased)
Mind you, NOT a question about the etiology of or research into the virus.
Dr. Fauci: “Well, I can say this: President Trump is a listener.” (the answer is longer, this is a pull quote)

Fauci: containment before mitigation. Cannot let the virus go from lineal to exponential in the spread. Praises Gov. CUOMO. Pushes “baseline level” of social distancing for the entire country. Getting back to “normality” = aggressive measures to prevent “recurrent peaks”. Pushes “physical separation” About wearing face masks = pushes universal wearing of masks by showing how masks trap droplets.
RE HYDROXYCHOLORQUINE; Basically blows it off. “Still too soon for clinical trials to show positive results.” Pushes for MANDATORY CONTROLLED TRIALS before he’ll recognize the usefulness of this drug.
Baucher: “IT [Hydroxycholorquine + Z-Pak] WON”T CURE THE DISEASE”
Fauci: starts the “push for a vaccine” meme. Various types of vaccines now in trials. “S” vs “SM” vs “RMNA” protein types being tried. T-cell response is critical.
Fauci: “Convalescent Plasma” antibodies trials are underway.
Fauci: “SERO-SURVEILLANCE” must be part of the “get back to normality framework” = do antibody tests and validate who can do back to work.
Pushes for huge increase in spending on Public Health, especially at local / state levels.
Fauci: FOR FALL, 2020: Have measures in place to test / isolate / trace / quarantine.
PERMANENT CHANGES TO LIFESTYLE: constant hand washing / keeping people who get a fever at home / never again go back to shaking hands.
Fauci: VACCINE TRIALS ARE IN PHASE TWO. If there is enough data on efficacy of a vaccine, the FDA CAN ISSUE AN EMERGENCY APROVAL.
Near end of interview: Bauchner holds up a T-shirt that says:
    “In Fauci We Trust”

Scientists around the world are tracking at least eight strains of coronavirus around the world, using genetic detective work to show how the virus spreads.

Researchers say the virus appears to mutate very slowly, with only tiny differences between the different strains, and that none of the strains of the virus is more deadly than another.

They also say it does not appear the strains will grow more lethal as they evolve.

I don’t know if a site can attack or cause WP to malfunction on anyone’s computer – but that is what happened. I do know the personnel OT are spiteful enough that if anyone posts over here, they ban them.

      1. I’m past my emotional reaction to SD, and I click his site for info just like I do other sites. Separating the info from the individual isn’t unique to our prior experience with SD. Many swallow their distaste for Trump personally because they appreciate what he is accomplishing. Reading OT is similar IMO.

The article is speech AG Barr gave to governors a few months ago, warning them about a seemingly innocuous Chinese org that sought to do business via state governors. The site is actually a front for CCP. Barr and Trump are aware of which governors are rated by CCP as “friendly”, “hardline”, or “ambiguous”.
You can find the speech elsewhere if interested. I use OT because SD posts the transcript which is easier for me than audio.

In fact, I would be surprised if most of you in the audience have not been lobbied by the Chinese Communist Party directly.

Chinese Communist Party friendship organizations like the one that I referenced earlier are in Richmond; Minneapolis; Portland; Jupiter, Florida; and many other cities around the country.

But sometimes China’s activities aren’t quite that public, and I want to talk about some of that today. Let me read you an excerpt of a letter from a Chinese diplomat. It was China’s Consul General in New York sent a letter last month to the speaker of one of your state legislatures.

Here’s what the letter said in part. It said, quote, “As we all know, Taiwan is part of China… avoid engaging in any official contact with Taiwan, including sending congratulatory messages to the electeds, introducing bills and proclamations for the election, sending officials and representatives to attend the inauguration ceremony, and inviting officials in Taiwan to visit the United States.” End of quote from the letter.

Think about that. You had a diplomat from China assigned here to the United States, a representative of the Chinese Communist Party in New York City, sending an official letter urging that an American elected official shouldn’t exercise his right to freedom of speech.

Let that sink in for just a minute.

And this isn’t a one-off event. It’s happening all across the country.

Chinese consulates in New York, in Illinois, in Texas, and two in California, bound by the diplomatic responsibilities and rights of the Vienna Convention, are very politically active at the state level, as is the embassy right here in Washington, D.C.

Maybe some of you have heard about the time when the Chinese consulate paid the UC-San Diego students to protest the Dalai Lama.

Or last August, when former governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi received a letter from a diplomat in the consul’s office in Houston, threatening to cancel a Chinese investment if the governor chose to travel to Taiwan. Phil went anyway.

Last year, a high school – a high school, a high school in Chicago – disinvited a Taiwanese representative to serve on a climate panel after Chinese pressure.

It’s one thing to pressure the Secretary of State of the United States of America. It seems quite something else to go after a high school principal. It shows depth. It shows systemization. It shows intent.

“And when it comes to doing business, I’m asking you to adopt a cautious mindset. In the words of President Reagan, when you’re approached for an introduction or a connection to a deal, trust but verify.

I know you all have power over pension funds or the people that run them. As of its latest public filing, the Florida Retirement System is invested in a company that in turn is invested in surveillance gear that the Chinese Communist Party uses to track more than 1 million Muslim minorities. California’s pension fund, the largest public pension fund in the country, is invested in companies that supply the People’s Liberation Army that puts our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines at risk.

And it is the case for many Chinese companies, too – no Sarbanes-Oxley. Their books are not wide open, so it’s difficult to know if the transaction that’s being engaged in is transparent and fair and follows the rule of law.”

“We have directed two Chinese propaganda outlets, the Chinese Global Television Network and Xinhua News Agency, to register as foreign agents.

And we at the State Department have started to require Chinese diplomats to apply – comply with the same rules we comply with when we’re in China. Chinese diplomats now must notify the State Department in advance of official meetings with state and local officials.

They must declare their official visits to U.S. educational and research institutions as well.

This is just fairness, reciprocity, basic common sense. This is not an onerous restriction to put on China.”

The Governors got more than they bargained for – they got a serious warning about the Chinese Communist Party’s brazen actions in the USA from the Secretary of State.

  13. Some doctors moving away from ventilators for virus patients

NEW YORK (AP) — As health officials around the world push to get more ventilators to treat coronavirus patients, some doctors are moving away from using the breathing machines when they can.

The reason: Some hospitals have reported unusually high death rates for coronavirus patients on ventilators, and some doctors worry that the machines could be harming certain patients.

The evolving treatments highlight the fact that doctors are still learning the best way to manage a virus that emerged only months ago. They are relying on anecdotal, real-time data amid a crush of patients and shortages of basic supplies.

  15. Da%m the Torpedoes —

Second, very short summary of the DR. FAUCI video interview with DR. BAUCHNER, editor of the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) that I referenced above:

    Dr. Fauci:
    POTUS is a “good listener”.
Pushes social / physical distancing for the entire U.S.
Pushes aggressive interventions as part of a “return to normality” in terms of protocols set up for: tests / isolating / contact tracing / quarantining. “No recurrent peaks” of outbreak is the goal.
Pushes universal mask wearing based on proof that wearing them stops droplet spread of the virus.
Re Hydroxychloroquine + Z-Pak: “Still too soon for clinical trials to show positive results”. Dismisses this treatment. Pushing instead for random controlled trials before he would endorse.
Vaccine: A vaccine IS THE ULTIMATE ANSWER to the virus. T-cell response is critical.
Vaccine: Several Phase Two clinical trials underway already. If a vaccine has data that proves efficacy, the FDA can issue an “Emergency Approval” for its use.
    “Convalescent Plasma” trials underway.
Pushes the following protocols for a “return to normality”: “Sero-surveillance” of antibody tests and validation / constant hand washing / wearing masks / keeping anybody with a fever at home / never again shaking hands / social distancing.
Hints that ANOTHER outbreak of the virus will occur in September – October of this year.
Pushes for huge increase in spending for public health care on all levels especially local / state.
Dr. Bauchner: “It [Hydroxychloroquine + Z-Pak] won’t cure the disease.”

  18. Reading about four (!) meat packing plant closures in PA:

    – The largest plant closed “plant supplies an estimated one million families a day with meat.” That’s one plant. Four plants are closed. What happens to the supply chain and prices when a plant producing enough meat for a million families closes?

    – The closed plants are unionized.

    – The closed plants are staffed immigrants. Quote about a union boss who allegedly died from the virus: “His father spoke Haitian Creole, but learned Spanish to interact with the workers.” [Nobody seems to care about learning English.] Article also talks about “temporary workers” [euphemism for migrants]. Reading between the lines, I wonder how many of these union workers are here legally.

So we’ve got unions, immigrants, and mega-corporations involved (Cargill and JBS–largest meat producers in the world). Yes, I am suspicious. Are these plants really closed because of “coronavirus”? Is something else going on?

    1. Ugh!

I don’t know the solution to optimal working conditions, decent wages and corporate profits, and still selling at a reasonable price.. All I can say is there aren’t too many jobs that are more undesirable than working in a meat-packing plant.

I don’t wish the corona-virus or any other possible motive on these workers.

Why would the meat-packing industry want to close plants? Or the unions? For more immigrant labor? Are you implying they are part of the plant-based diet movement or something else?

      Liked by 2 people

      1. Meat-packing used to be a very lucrative job with wages commensurate with the risks until these mega-corporations drove down the wages with illegal labor. Now illegals are the only ones willing to do hazardous work for Walmart wages. People don’t want to hear about higher meat prices, but the hard truth is that the wages need to go back up if we want Americans to have those jobs again.

And as for the rest, I’m just noting the confluence of anti-Trump groups and globalist corporations surrounding these closures.

      Health Apr 10, 2020 5:10 PM EDT
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — An infectious and fatal strain of bird flu has been confirmed in a commercial turkey flock in South Carolina, the first case of the more serious strain of the disease in the United States since 2017 and a worrisome development for an industry that was devastated by previous outbreaks.

The high pathogenic case was found at an operation in Chesterfield County, South Carolina, marking the first case of the more dangerous strain since one found in a Tennessee chicken flock in 2017. In 2015, an estimated 50 million poultry had to be killed at operations mainly in the Upper Midwest after infections spread throughout the region.

“Yes, it’s concerning when we see cases, but we are prepared to respond very quickly and that was done in this case,” said Lyndsay Cole, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.

  26. I hope that Dr. Fauci isn’t turning into the modern-day DR. FAUSTUS (the “magic circle” in this case may be the vaccine Fauci is pushing).

      1. Sure hope Daughn and Big T are OK. Wind without a tornado can do a lot of damage too. Especially if there has been a lot of rain and the trees are not ‘solidly anchored’ Southern red clay soil makes the roots head to the side instead of straight down. I have been shocked at how shallow some of the root systems are on the trees that got blown down around here.

The winds have been really nasty here in NC too.

With the weather going from 90F to close to freezing and back into the 80s you get nasty winds and thunderstorms and sometimes tornadoes. Luckily we are a bit north of the ‘zone’ but had one pass within a couple miles away a few years back.

EM (chiefIO) was saying 4 days ago: “… I look at the weather map and find floods predicted for the Mojave Desert and a Winter Storm Watch for the areas south east of me. Where’s my spring?…”
        He is in Southern California.

      1. Glad you’re okay!

And yes…it looks like it was a really bad one.

That F5 was a monster; reports are it was 2 miles wide and had a track of 75 miles.
Reports are there were other touchdowns of tornadoes, too…not as big, but still bad.

Again…glad to know you and T are okay!

        1. Thank you, Wheatie. Hard to keep track here. We’ve been losing power on and off all day.
Up stomping around now, just lost it again.
The wind is something! Wild lightning.

          1. I hope you didn’t get any wind damage.

Being without power is no fun.
I heard there are several hundred thousand without power there.

Hope they get it back on soon!

  27. Putting two comments together:

    gudthots comment from the Utree:

Short out take of the comment.

Just in from a contact in the Netherlands…

Researchers at Radboud Hospital in Nijmegen think they have discovered an essential mechanism in the covid-19 disease process that has been overlooked so far.

“If the insight is correct, it probably has important consequences for the treatment of the disease,” says a press statement from the hospital.

    Leaky blood vessels
Until now, doctors have known that ACE2 plays a role in maintaining blood pressure throughout the body. But it has another function, according to the researchers, which has been left out of the picture in covid-19 infections. “ACE2 keeps the substance bradykinin under control. Bradykinin makes blood vessels leak.
We have good reason to believe that with these covid-19 infections we see exactly this effect: ACE2 receptors disappear from the lung cells by the introduction of the virus , which gives bradykinin free rein and causes the small blood vessels to leak en masse at the site of infection. ”….

Here is a link to an article about that:

“. ACE2 is an enzyme found on organs, including the lungs. It is also the receptor, the ‘receiver’, for the coronavirus in the human body.”

    Then the video below.

Could the above, — small blood vessels leaking due to Covid-19 attacking ACE2 at points other than the lungs — be the cause of these livedoid pattern rashes and/or Pernio/chilblains the Dermatologists are seeing?

  28. Fauci is going away. I refer you to the last line of the message the President retweeted.

No doubt the media will be hot on this, come to Fauci’s defense and then hammer time.

    1. The only surprise here is we caught one of these punks. Charges under some war powers act concerning espionage and sabotage seem quite justified. Meanwhile turn this guys social media account inside and out.

      1. It’s also a little surprising the Chronicle mentioned it.
He definitely needs white light on his life to find out why he’d do it…how did he gain access ? How did he identify it ? Allegedly patients can’t even have visitors but he wanders around long enough to steal something that should’ve been locked up.
