Dear KAG: 20200408 Open Thread

Time for something for the stir crazy. Movie scores from westerns aren’t for the weak musicians, that’s for sure.

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

In addition, it is requested that there be no swinging from the chandeliers, celebratory gunfire, messing around with the nuclear weapons, and, please, everyone wash your hands.

And, please, what ever you do, do not walk barefoot across San Francisco.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. Please, venture over there for any such thoughts and comments. This sort of thing is always a possibility on that site:

A few other vital notes:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

Ridiculing the other side, on the other hand…well….

IS 50:4-9A

The Lord GOD has given me
a well-trained tongue,
That I might know how to speak to the weary
a word that will rouse them.
Morning after morning
he opens my ear that I may hear;
And I have not rebelled,
have not turned back.
I gave my back to those who beat me,
my cheeks to those who plucked my beard;
My face I did not shield
from buffets and spitting.

The Lord GOD is my help,
therefore I am not disgraced;
I have set my face like flint,
knowing that I shall not be put to shame.
He is near who upholds my right;
if anyone wishes to oppose me,
let us appear together.
Who disputes my right?
Let him confront me.
See, the Lord GOD is my help;
who will prove me wrong?

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome. And this week, lots of prayers for those who have the virus, and those who have died due to it are part of daily prayer.

We ready for more “As the Swamp Turns”?

  1. “stuff” is coming out… I placed an * in front of this link… tweet references a youTube vid

    some may not want to even hear the words used to describe the video

    1. don’t forget to remove the * before cutting and pasting to open tweet… the one I posted is beneath I E T’s which wasn’t there when I copied her tweet…

    1. It’s barely in the news over here (obscured by the infinite CoronaVirus coverage, latest Harry and MeAgain drivel, and how many subscriptions the Disney sewer is picking up… I really had to go digging to find anything at all on it… Interesting, though, that the building is now connected with the Humboldt Forum of the Humboldt-Universität… some deep state links there, but I have to go back and look…

      It appears to be a “construction/repair accident” (Hmmm, how many times have we heard that the last few years, especially for LANDMARKS and CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT BUILDINGS, etc.?). More than likely, some of those involved were our “Kulturelle Bereicherung” (cultural enrichment) or Fachkräfte (specialists) *cough* imported (invading) from far south (read: Moslems from the Middle East and Africa)…

    1. They hate it because he and PDJT are beating them at their own game, except Con judges aren’t ideologues, they’re Constitutionalists.

          1. I do not understand how PDJT cannot quietly remove Fauci and Birx from coronavirus proceedings. Can he not do these with the Surgeon General? Or are they the scientific ‘experts’? If the latter, then, he should find new experts.

            We have a similar situation in the UK. Not so much with those fronting proceedings, as far as I know, but those providing the statistics to them and the government.

            1. I have heard more than once – it is for Optics these two fools are front and center – perhaps, the more they pontificate – the more they are exposed – the good part – people have stopped listening to these two fools – because they have been wrong too many times – relying on ‘guesstimates’ rather than logic and reason – they are enemies of the people – and the people have begun to realize how much they have skewed their ‘charts’ and ‘data’ to sell fear.

              Americans are not a fearful lot – nor are they as dumb as the two ‘experts’ believe – we are wise to their game – and are not apt to accept it.

              Watch what happens to the WHO – this week – it is only the beginning.

              1. The WHO must be dealt with NOW. I will be waiting to see what happens this week.

                Hope you are right about the Dreadful Duo there for optics.

                We have the same situation in the UK with Dr Ferguson and his dodgy estimates. He doesn’t appear on camera for the daily updates, but I do wonder how much he influences the talking points of the government, our chief medical officer and any other medical ‘expert’ who appears.

              2. A mathematician once told me – tell me the outcome you desire – and I will make the numbers adhere to that outcome – what the hey – said I – IOW – since you are the expert – no one is going to question your numbers – really – well that is illogical and irrational – yes – it is – but, it works – sure – I said – just like the quacks who say 2 + 2 = 5 – and think you are stupid cause you do not buy their rational – right now – I do not believe any of them – inflation is a fear factor – even in finance.

    1. The Michigan AGs office is in charge of prosecuting Sherika……

      This was posted by the Michigan AG this morning:

      “I just can’t hear about one more black health care worker, police officer or bus driver die while getting a barrage of complaints from white folks outraged because they can’t go golfing.”

      Sherika’s not one of them “White Folks” so she’ll probably skate on all the charges.

  3. The Government Wants to Decide What Items Are Essential Purchases and What Things You’re Not Allowed to Buy

    April 8, 2020
    by Daisy Luther, The Organic Prepper

    Living under lockdown restrictions, prevalent in nearly every state, is about to get a whole lot worse. The government in the United States and Canada has decided to take away the guesswork in the stores that are still open and decide for you what’s “essential” and what’s not.

    When I have gone to the store to pick up groceries (I’m still getting fresh produce while I can), I also like to pick up a couple of things that are pleasant diversions: magazines, a crossword puzzle book, coloring pencils, some craft supplies. It’s nice to have some things that are enjoyable on hand to keep lockdown from feeling so grim and torturous. If the store is already open, getting a sunny yellow pillow for the living room is a pick-me-up, not a frivolous jaunt to a place I wasn’t already going. When we had a birthday in the family, we even picked up a few small gifts on our regular trip to the grocery store to provide a sense of normalcy.

    But the days of getting a random item to brighten a family member’s day may be numbered. The government (at least in some places) wants to make this already unpleasant time as dismal as possible for us all.

  4. Okay, serious question….
    Do you guys think it’s okay to shower or should we just keep washing our hands? 🤣😆

    1. For the record I am not religious. My kids are but I am all in on any people of faith gathering to celebrate or rejoice in their faith on a specific holy day. The government oppression of these gatherings needs to be sued and fought out in court. This is not right. CVII is coming.

      1. You could be right about lawsuits – after all – President Trump declared war on ‘religious freedom’ – however – not sure what you are calling CVII – so please help me out here – Thanks!!!

        1. Country is clear split beyond liberal, conservative. More along the lines of all in for oppressive government and the crushing of rights. Versus those that do not. This eventually will end up as a civil war. There is no reasoning this out.

    1. OK, I don’t get it. Why would they have to omit the sentence to the other 49 states? And if they could get away with doing so, why was Hawaii a case where they had to include it?

      I’d certainly want to talk to that notary public, assuming she hasn’t already been suicided without her consent.

        I went to to look for some possible links & had to click “sections” in upper right to get the search function, fyi…

    2. It’s about time that much of this saw the light of day. I haven’t read deeply into this latest twitter based “evidence” (not an Easter focus for me), but is this material from the Maricopa Co, AZ Cold Case Posse, appointed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose epic work was ignored for years by the FBI?

    1. A friend had a couple of my baby pygmy goats in a dog crate on a trailer. She was hauling it thru Fayetteville NC. She got pulled over for abusing a baby until the cop looked into the dog crate.

      Their cries drive women nutz because they are so close to a human baby and we are hard wired to respond.
