Dear KAG: 20200129 Open Thread

Welcome back to the previously scheduled Wednesday Open Thread!

Mood music for today is inspired by the Psalm of the day, Number 24

If that doesn’t make you feel good….

Okay, so here’s the deal. This is the open thread. This is where we all come to get the news that other Q tree inhabitants think is worth knowing and sharing. Please, post links to any “news” stories quoted, and ask for help if you are stumped as to how to do that. We’re a friendly lot. Someone will be with you shortly, and there is no reason to have to press one for English.

Free speech, and the open exchange and hashing out of ideas is not only allowed, but encouraged. If we all don’t use it, we’re going to lose it. There are, however, limits to civility, and those limits are strictly observed here. We are all on the same team. No personal threats, baiting, name calling and other behavior you would not want someone else to do to you is allowed.

Yes, it can be rough to temper speech. However, those who would like to slog it out from the comfort of the seat behind your keyboard, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. Please, take it there where this is allowed to happen:

And now for some house keeping:

There are a few rules here in the branches of the Q Tree. Our host, Wolfm00n, outlined them in a post on New Years Day 2019. Please, review these rules from time to time, maybe while waiting for the defrosters to get rolling while warming up the car in this global warming climate change deep freeze that’s happening.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Steve suggests – to be accurate – no shooting at the nuclear weapons, but to be safe about it, don’t event point firearms toward them. I, Deplorable Patriot, bossy chick that I am, request no teasing the animals, pets and wildlife alike. FG&C asks that you wash your hands, wipe down all non in-home surfaces, and take some vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and get plenty of rest.

And please, pretty please with sugar on top, no celebratory gunfire…at least not indoors. Concealed carry is encouraged though.

Teasing and trolling the lefties and their bastions, on the other hand is a moral imperative. I will say this one aged well.

From yesterday’s readings and the Second Book of Samuel:

David went to bring up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom
into the City of David amid festivities.
As soon as the bearers of the ark of the LORD had advanced six steps,
he sacrificed an ox and a fatling.
Then David, girt with a linen apron,
came dancing before the LORD with abandon,
as he and all the house of Israel were bringing up the ark of the LORD
with shouts of joy and to the sound of the horn.
The ark of the LORD was brought in and set in its place
within the tent David had pitched for it.
Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
When he finished making these offerings,
he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
He then distributed among all the people,
to each man and each woman in the entire multitude of Israel,
a loaf of bread, a cut of roast meat, and a raisin cake.
With this, all the people left for their homes.

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Back to our regularly scheduled swamp watching.

      1. Perfect way to state it CT— lol.. I crashed after the rally and it was a challenge to keep up with the threads, the twitter accounts and then Mr. MA_kswiss awaking and then watching along side me (different dynamic to be present in the room rather than following online). I believe my body clock is unofficially on EST time now, HA!

Thank you everyone for your great contributions!

    1. Yep. It has been a challenge to keep up. Great day for news and events to follow. Absolutely appreciated the topic break outs for all the obvious reasons. Aligns posts, facts, theories, thought development… Yea, at times I can see the obvious. But only sometimes.

So very thankful Daughn is willing to do so much for us! Of course the daily authors and Flep daily delivering all the time. Fortunate we are. Certainly I am. Without the QTree and ya’ll, I’d be a wandering bewildered old fart. Now, a content winning old fart;-) Start and end my days at QTree with ya’ll. Blessed!!!

      G’nite 😉

    2. So true. I’ve watched Bibi,, and what an excellent speech. It really will be interesting to see IF the Palestinians will actually do anything about it. I’m not holding my breath over it. It did however, affirm that Israel should have jurisdiction over the various sites, and have responsibility for their own defense.

We watched the rally just after it happened. A lot of good energy was displayed by the crowd. I haven’t seen estimations of the outside crowd size yet.

Watched some of the Project Veritas video.

Read the Trump women and Flep’s news early in the AM.

STILL haven’t watched any shampeachment from today (it’s still the 24th here.) Have read comments. Hopefully it’s all wound up by Friday.

But at least my hair doesn’t smell like smoke any more, and I’ll probably hit the sack early tonight so I may finish catching up tomorrow.

        1. Texas is very rural – which is to say that the rural counties are well populated, and despite their relatively small size to the big cities it is harder for the big cities to overwhelm the rest of the state.

That said, Texas has plenty of illegal aliens (go figure!) and an extremely colorful history of electoral cheating. This is probably not enough to win, however, as long a Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton are tackling both problems head-on.

For the Dems that leaves dumping money into the state. It almost worked with Beto, but frankly Beto was and is too extreme of a candidate, and has only been able to win in the blue border region. Meanwhile, even some of the border races have been flipping red.

I’m not going to say that Texas can’t flip. It only went from “blue” to “red” consistently in the early 90s. Election battles like getting Cruz were long, hard, and won by narrow margins. Cruz was and is a huge victory – I mean look, Texas could’ve had another Lloyd Benson or even another Uniparty RINO John Cornyn, so regardless Cruz is a dramatic improvement over Kay Bailey Hutchison.

If dims get to subpoena Bolton, we get Hunter Biden.

      1. During Monday’s testimony a pair of slides were presented that compared Burismas statement of Hunters role on its board when he was appointed: (something to do with legal compliance), and Hunters lawyer statement about his role at a later date. His lawyer disavowed any role for Hunter in the legal aspects of running Burisma.
Aren’t board members often personally liable for their actions and decisions related to corporate governance while on the board?

        1. Hunter Biden was Burisma’s legal compliance officer. Holy smokes, Hunter was negligent as heck.
Big question, Joe Biden’s actions in January of 2017. He made a final trip to Ukraine. It was a flurry of activity. Got the UK case dropped, Zlochevsky returned to Ukraine. Burisma donated big dollars to the Atlantic Council, freed up, and all clear by the day before Trump Inauguration.
And the Atlantic Council had their Energy summit sponsored BY Burisma……. in Monaco.
          Yeah, right.

        2. Most of you have heard that yesterday Diane Feinstein caused aneurysms and peptic ulcers in media and libs by indicating she was leaning toward voting for an acquittal. While it seemed to come out of thin air, I believe it signals some more rational Democrat senatorial types are really worried about the election and setting up Joe Biden for complete undressing. We are also hearing rumors that Biden’s forces are conducting a serious back channel lobbying campaign with Democrats to find a way to not have witnesses without losing face. Don’t be surprised if a couple of those wavering GOP votes go the right way because they cut some deal across the aisle to assure the Dems that witnesses would not be called. That’s the real kind of swamp dealing that got VSGPDJT elected.

          1. I wondered in another comment if her wavering could have something to do with the DOJ indictment of the Dir of DPW for San Francisco. Allegations of bid rigging and bribery related to homeless shelter and toilet facilities, concessions at the SF airport, and bribery by a Chinese developer for a billion$ development. The investigation continues. Accused is out on $2 mil bond. Seems high for public corruption. He had a cooperation agreement that he violated by disclosing the investigation to others.

“BREAKING: Mitch McConnell Says He DOES NOT HAVE THE VOTES to Block Witnesses”

Sounds as if Lindsey Graham thinks the senators who want witnesses will back down when they see how many, and which, witnesses would be called. I love how he said they’re going to find out who the whistleblower is, who he talked to, and what he did.

I hope Graham is right about it being over before the State of the Union address.

      1. Saw on Bream, Mitch doesn’t have votes…yet, So starting tonight the R’s are going on every show talking about every witness they want to hear from and there’s a lot. And they keep adding more. And most of the R witnesses are the ones D’s would rather keep hidden. So they’re playing a game Of chicken daring the D’s to keep it up because they’ll regret it if they get 1-2 witnesses, especially because the R’s may want 5-10+

No, we don’t. Do you all know what the Bidens were up to in Ukraine.

  4. I know this isn’t going to be a popular view here, and maybe y’all will want to throw something at me for this, but I think it bears discussing. I know a lot of people were jubilant about the Deal of the Century being unveiled today. But I was a bit disturbed when I saw the details. And I know a lot of evangelicals are going to be disturbed by it. I’ve already seen some of that online.

God told Israel over and over again in the Old Testament in prophecy to not let their land be divided. And that judgment would happen to those who did it. That disturbs me. If you look at the proposed map, the Palestinians (who aren’t even a “real” people) would get a big swath out of the middle of Israel. So the Palestinians, who are ethnically the same people as Jordanians, would be rewarded for all their many years of terrorism. These people already had their own state – Jordan – way back in the beginning of the two states. But they wanted more.

The rest of the world – all the European/Asian countries who have constantly voted Israel down at the United Nations almost from the beginning – seem to be applauding this deal. But let’s not forget that the New World Order, of which the United Nations is a big part, is a satanic organization. And Satan would like nothing better than to divide Israel and God’s people. So of course they are applauding. And if they are applauding, then I’m not. Maybe this whole thing will fall through, as I have my doubts that the Palestinians will accept it. They seem to want all or nothing, no matter how much money is offered them.

    Liked by 10 people

    1. The key to understanding the region is that the so-called Palestinians are pawns. Any of them that mattered would be Jordanians or Israelis. They have been maintained by an Arab coalition solely to be a thorn in the side of Israel. And our VSGPOTUSDJT has negotiated their very best deal going forward with the Arab coalition (thus the three ambassadors in the Oval Office).

In a stunning reversal from the way diplomacy normal goes in these parts, Israel gets to pocket their part of the plan, and the PA gets to see if it can get a scrap. So many times, we have seen the PA pocket their part of the deal and renege to any benefit for Israel. VSGPOTUSDJT has cut a deal with the PA’s backers where Israel gets their piece now.

      Liked by 6 people

    2. There are still a lot of ways this could go. Long term the best solution is for the PA to do what OTHER Palestinians in Israel have done – assimilated into the culture, or go elsewhere. The “two-state solution” would become irrelevant as “Palestine” is integrated back into Israel.

The main thing is that this fully puts it BACK on the PA to do the right thing. Meanwhile, maximum pressure continues, as P3rsia won’t be there for them anymore, and their aid from the U.S. is cut off. If they don’t follow through, they will be increasingly isolated from the world, including notably from the other middle east nations who came out in support of the deal.

      Liked by 7 people

        1. No need to stand on biblical principal.

Rewarding the so called “Palestinians” (and all who funded their terrorism against Israel (Iran), including Hamas and Hezbollah) for their decades long war of terrorism and murder against Israel, with land cut from Israel, is grave folly.

They will continue to demand more from Israel. And this will only strengthen their future dam DS.

          Liked by 1 person

    3. I didn’t comment on the topic because, truthfully, the DS/Cabal/Illuminati/New World Order people destroyed both the Ottoman Empire and the Holy Roman Empire for their own purposes, and part of it, I believe, has to do with the mineral resources in what is this area, as well as control of the Christian Holy Sites.

One thing that needs to be remembered, if we’re going the religious route for arguments, is that the only Crusade that was successful was the first one which was a pilgrimage to take back the Holy Sites in Jerusalem. The knights stopped outside the city walls and prayed. And they took back the Holy Sites which are today controlled by Israel, but financed by the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, which is a lay organization full of devout and REALLY rich people.

I didn’t watch the ceremony, but I saw nothing to indicate that the Christian Holy Sites were mentioned. There have been issues of accessibility in the last couple years, and that rarely gets play.

So, whether or not this works out…we’ll see.

    4. Linda if we believe, I do, that God is in control then God is in control in this peace negotiations also.
If the two state Israel – Palestinian peace negotiations come to reality or fails than God had His Hands in it either way.
I pray for peace for Israel and its people and also that peace will come to the Palestinians. Peace will benefit all humanity and God is Love and Peace.
      Just my take on it.

Guy is out on 2 mil bond for various schemes related to bid rigging and bribery. Nuru is SF’s director of public works. Also indicted is a SF restauranteur. Schemes involve giving preference for SFO concessions to the restauranteur. One scheme involves taking a bribe from a Chinese developer involved in a billion dollar development. One involves alleged bid rigging of the contract for toilet facilities and homeless shelters in SF. One scheme also involves using labor and taking bribes related to Nuru’s vacation property, including a john deer tractor.
Nuru initially agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation including not disclosing its existence. He violated this and was taken into custody.

”This is chapter 15 of the Epidemiologists: Have they got scares for you. It leans heavily on Not the foot and mouth report: everything Tony Blair did not want you to know about the biggest blunder in his premiership (Private Eye special report November 2001).”
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A VACCINE so the killing of uneffected cattle WAS NOT NECESSARY! Also the meat can be eaten by humans with no ill effect.

…In the case of FMD, they did not even know how the disease was carried. It could be on the wind, on the wheels of vehicles or the soles of boots, in the throats of human beings or any combination of these and others.

Computer modelling has a number of attractions for academics. It does not need the resources that experimental science demands; nor does it need the long hours of careful attention required for research by measurement. In just a few hours you can create a model, just a computer program, which is so complex that no outsider can hope to unravel it. You can build in many assumptions that might well be unjustifiable under independent examination. Furthermore, the human unconscious is a mischievous influence that can produce the desired results, even for those who are not deliberately cheating. In the same few hours you can produce beautiful graphs and tables, the like of which would take months in experimental science, but which are so convincing to laymen and particularly politicians and bureaucrats. This is a point so important that it is worth an interlude of its own….

The article does not mention the suicides or the EU and UN role. Use Depopulation and you can begin exporting MUCH SOONER than if you use vaccination.

blockquote>…In Europe the acknowledged expert was a Dutch vet, Dr Simon Barteling, who had been responsible for handling over 20 outbreaks of the disease in different parts of the world. Both these experts had worked with the most modern vaccines and had expressed their conviction that vaccination provided the key to rapid control of the disease without the need to resort to mass slaughter. Indeed, when an outbreak occurred in Albania and Macedonia in 1996, the EU, fearing a spread across its own borders, had quickly set up a vaccination programme. The outbreak was totally suppressed within a few weeks. Thus, it was not just theoretical knowledge, but practical experience with convincing results, that pointed to vaccination as being the only reasonable and effective way to tackle the disease: but the British establishment had its mind set on slaughter….
Nearly eight million animals, one eighth of all those in Britain and most of them healthy, had been slain. Mass bankruptcies occurred throughout the rural economy. Industries ranging from hotel chains to hot air balloon manufacturers were devastated. The total cost to the British economy was in the range 10 to 20 billion pounds. Promises of Government aid faded away in the miasma of bureaucratic manoeuvring and EU regulation…..

After this ‘Trial Run of the UN-OIE Stamping-Out/De-population protocol’, it was adopted here in the USA.

I can no longer find my notes or anything on the internet. So from memory….

*ALL Suseptible animals in a 10 kilometer radius (AND your dogs and cats) are killed.
      * ANY unsealed/washable buildings (think wood) are burned to the ground.
      * Area is quarantined to travel by humans.

So AFTER the analysis of the UK Foot & Mouth disease fiasco what does the Democrat Congress and Obama do?

Some federal lawmakers want to stop the sale of New York’s Plum Island, home to the only national government laboratory studying diseases harmful to livestock and other animals.
Congress voted in 2009 to close the aging lab and move operations to Kansas State University. President Barack Obama’s latest budget includes $714 million for the project, and Kansas officials are selling bonds to pay for the new lab.
But lawmakers from New York and Connecticut plan to introduce legislation Tuesday to stop the sale, saying it is unnecessary and uneconomical, and the island lab is worth preserving….

Yeah, you read that correctly, CLOSE the lab on an isolated island and MOVE operations to Kansas State University IN THE MIDDLE OF COW COUNTRY

A computer model (Har Har) showed if Foot and mouth escaped it would wipe out ALL of the USA cattle, sheep, goats & pigs…

            1. the Post-humanist Movement. Their ideas will kill many since they don’t get basic science right. Things like osmosis, and photosynthesis, and spread of disease.

            2. I have one of their award winning drawings that I’ll share when I figure out how to do it. Absolutely idiotic. It’s a proposal for a growing vest, watered by filtered human urine, and fertilized by the living mouse in the models’ vest pockets.

What’s not funny is this is funded research, and award winning.

    2. Oh, I forgot the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC). That committee came up with the recommendation that America Should Adopt a ‘Plant-Based’ Diet, recommends taxes on dessert, trained obesity “interventionists” at schools and worksites, and electronic monitoring of how long Americans sit in front of the television or computer. The new Food Safety Modernization Act and Obummercare will be used as the weapons to ‘transform’ American dietary habits. to a more sustainable pattern of eating.

On top of that is this article: Hospitals to begin monitoring your credit card purchases to flag ‘unhealthy’ habits

What you buy at the grocery store, where you live, and even your membership status at the local gym are all subject to a new data collection scheme by the American medical system. Reports indicate that hospitals and doctors’ offices all across the country are now collecting this and other personal information in order to target individuals deemed to have “unhealthy” lifestyle habits that put them at high risk of disease.

Bloomberg reports that hospital systems in both North and South Carolina as well as Pennsylvania have already begun tracking people’s food-purchasing habits by spying on them through public records and credit card transactions. Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS), which operates some 900 care centers throughout the Carolinas, has teamed up with a data-mining company to compile and track this information for the later purpose of calling “high-risk” folks and urging them to make a change.

“What we are looking to find are people before they end up in trouble,” stated Michael Dulin, chief clinical officer for analytics and outcomes at CHS, to Bloomberg. “The idea is to use big data and predictive models to think about population health and drill down to the individual levels to find someone running into trouble that we can reach out to and try to help out.”….

And just to give you the warm fuzzies, Why Is the USDA Buying Submachine Guns with 30-Round Magazines? Are those bullets for our livestock or for us farmers.

Give THANKS that President Trump won instead of Hillary or we would all be eating soy.

    3. Extrapolate this out to chicken and Avian flu and pigs and Swine flu and….

Without sources of nutrition from animal flesh and milk, humans will devolve. There’s no getting around it. Without B12, children in the womb are born at a disadvantage. It is now believed one of my nephews is effected by this. (Personally, if his parents were more organized, it might not be such an issue, if that’s really what the deal is. I mean, that child is WAY too smart and manipulative to fit the diagnosis.) Due to the number of women giving birth after gastric bypass surgery, there are now studies on the topic. And one of the results is reduced intelligence.

And that’s just lack of B12.

IIRC, in anthropological research, prior to moving to plant based diets, humans were 5’9″ on average, and had larger jaws, etc. After the change, humans were on average something like 5’3″ or 5’4″ with smaller jaws and disease began to pop up.

I was sent that Starbuck’s article (“Thus the beginning of their end, most likely”) and how that article was written (typical arrogant Canadian globalist) just didn’t pass the smell test.

  15. So you want to see what a dirty world politics is?

One of Mitt Romney’s top intelligence advisers, Joseph Cofer Black, was on the same Board of Directors for Burisma as Hunter Biden. They served together at the same time.

So Mitt already knows this stuff. Probably understands that Hunter was bribed. Probably knows that Joe Biden is a crook and POTUS did nothing wrong. Which makes what Mitt does and says highly suspect.

    1. If you read the attachment, you find out that Burisma also had the former president of Poland, Aleksander Kwaśniewski (1995 to 2005) on their board. Certainly looks like Burisma has a history of buying influence.

      1. So a former president of Poland was on the Burisma board. Does this correlate in any way with the wipeout of the Polish govt in that plane crash in Russia? I’m fuzzy on the details and dates. But since this thread already touched on DNC ‘monster’ payments after two suspicious deaths, I started getting spidey tingles.

  16. who wasn’t taking Ukrainian money…
Former White House national security adviser John Bolton pocketed $115,000 from Ukrainian steel oligarch Viktor Pinchuk’s foundation shortly before entering President Donald Trump’s White House as national security adviser, a position first held in the Trump White House by General Michael Flynn. Bolton’s unpublished manuscript reportedly accuses Trump of wanting to withhold military aid to Ukraine, but Trump denies this had anything to do with a Quid Pro Quo situation. Democrats are clamoring to call Bolton as a witness in Trump’s Senate impeachment trial regarding his alleged pressuring of the Ukrainian president to investigate Joe Biden’s alleged corruption in the country’s oil and gas industry. Ukraine’s president Zelensky adamantly denies that Trump pressured him.

  17. LMAO…Prince Charles racking up those frequent flyer miles and increasing his carbon footprint…while posing with Greta Greenstockings…
Prince Charles is facing embarrassment after taking a series of private jet flights while lecturing world leaders about climate change, and a photo-op with climate alarmist Greta Thunberg, according to The Daily Mail.

On a trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos last week, the Prince met activist Greta Thunberg and used an electric Jaguar car to travel to the Swiss resort, and after he gave an impassioned speech on climate change urging world leaders to take ‘bold and imaginative action’ on the environment, he hopped on a fourth private jet from Switzerland to Israel on Wednesday.

According to the British Daily Mail, in the 11 days before the Prince’s high-profile appearance, Charles took three flights on private jets for official Government business and one on a helicopter.

Taking into account an additional five so-called ‘empty-leg’ flights required to collect the Prince, his jet and helicopter travel totaled more than 16,000 miles in less than a fortnight at an estimated cost to the taxpayer of £280,000 ($330,000).
Before the Prince’s trip to Davos, an empty Bombardier Global Express was dispatched from Vienna to Scotland to pick up the prince, working by his and many climate activists carbon emissions theory, the plane would have dumped 10,000 tons of carbon into the atmosphere, on an estimated 1,000-mile flight, the Daily Mail reported. He then took a plane to Muscat, the capital of Oman, to “pay his respect to the new sultan of Oman.” A journey of approximately 3,800 miles dumping allegedly 34 tons of carbon. That plane then flew back empty to Vienna, dumping another 26 tons of carbon on its 2,800- mile flight.

Last Wednesday, the Prince flew 750 miles by private jet from Scotland to Switzerland for the Davos summit, dumping another 18 tons of carbon.

Then later that day he travelled 1,740 miles to Israel. Officials said a private jet was chosen for security reasons and the Prince only accepted the Davos invitation because it was on the way to Israel.

The Princes’ air travel will have emitted more than 162 metric tons of carbon – 18 times an average Briton’s annual total.

Can’t Make This Up… New York State Is Now Mandating “Stargazing Permits” For Looking At The Sky

Imagine this: You’re out with your family in one of the parks in New York state where you can actually see the stars when it gets dark. You look up in the sky, see a constellation, and you point upwards to show your kids. Along comes a park ranger demanding to see your Stargazing Permit, and issues you a citation because you didn’t know you needed such a permit.
