Dear KAG: 20191211 Open Thread

Welcome the Deck the Halls open thread. For those NOT following any sort of Liturgical Calendar, you might be done. Well, the rest of us will be doing it this week. How about some inspirational tunes.

Yes, given the solar minimum we are experiencing, a sable under the tree would be nice. Although, I’d like my convertible to be a candy apple red 1961 Corvette with a white swoosh.

But I digress, we need tunes.

My favorite…..

Okay, so here’s the deal. This is the open thread. This is where we all come to get the news that other Q tree inhabitants think is worth knowing and sharing. Please, post links to any “news” stories quoted, and ask for help if you are stumped as to how to do that. We’re a friendly lot. Someone will be with you shortly, and there is no reason to have to press one for English.

Free speech, and the open exchange and hashing out of ideas is not only allowed, but encouraged. If we all don’t use it, we’re going to lose it. There are, however, limits to civility, and those limits are strictly observed here. We are all on the same team. No personal threats, baiting, name calling and other behavior your mother and grandmother told you not to do while calling you by your full name is allowed. Otherwise, we’d end up looking like the other side.

There is absolutely no reason for infighting to result in burning down the tree, house up in the branches and all. Yes, it can be rough to temper speech. However, those who would like to slog it out from the comfort of the seat behind your keyboard, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. Please, take it there.

And now for some house keeping:

There are a few rules here in the branches of the Q Tree. Our host, Wolfm00n, outlined them in a post on New Years Day. Please, review these rules from time to time, maybe while waiting in line with the kids to see Santa. After all, the line does go all the way to Terre Haute.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Steve suggests – to be accurate – no shooting at the nuclear weapons, but to be safe about it, don’t event point firearms toward them. I, Deplorable Patriot, bossy chick that I am, request no teasing the animals, pets and wildlife alike. FG&C asks that you wash your hands and take some vitamin C. Daughn suggests you whip the sugar with the shortning (butter) before adding the flour.

Teasing and trolling the lefties and their bastions, on the other hand is a moral imperative. This Christmas list is from last year, but deserves a second look.

In the eternal fight against the forces of evil and darkness, unceasing prayer is always needed.

From today’s Lectionary, Isaiah 40:25-31.

To whom can you liken me as an equal?
says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high
and see who has created these things:
He leads out their army and numbers them,
calling them all by name.
By his great might and the strength of his power
not one of them is missing!
Why, O Jacob, do you say,
and declare, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD,
and my right is disregarded by my God”?

Do you not know
or have you not heard?
The LORD is the eternal God,
creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint nor grow weary,
and his knowledge is beyond scrutiny.
He gives strength to the fainting;
for the weak he makes vigor abound.
Though young men faint and grow weary,
and youths stagger and fall,
They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength,
they will soar as with eagles’ wings;
They will run and not grow weary,
walk and not grow faint.

And today’s Gospel reflects the piece I memorized for a music jury once:

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

And now, on to the day’s news…..

  1. It just hit me how close the last name “DeGeneres” sounds like “degenerate.” The spooks always add a hint of truth to their names. I’m going to start calling her Ellen DeGenerate from now.

    1. Heheh…we’ve been calling her “Ellen Degenerate” for years at my house.

We should be ashamed of ourselves, of course…for being so un-PC.
Ellen is a member of a protected class dontcha know.
And also one of our entertainment overlords.

      Yeah. Sorry, not sorry.

JC Penney would be rolling in his grave if he knew what happened to his company…. Then again, so would Ward and Sears and Roebuck, both of which were driven into the ground by the Brennan brothers (there’s that name again). Looks like Fast Eddie finally killed off Sears…

        1. The word “Landslide” will not do justice to the Trump re-election vote coming in 2020.

Not only are conservative voters literally straining at the proverbial leash to go vote FOR PDJT, but there are tens of millions who want to vote AGAINST democrats (vs. voting FOR the President).

Early voting is going to set new records nationwide next year.

          1. Don’t you just love the “latest” 4 am talking point orders….”2020 elections will be invalid if TRUMP wins”.
of course, it’s a pathetic face-saving move ( interesting it’s so soon!) because they know full-well it’s going to be a landslide election, but IMO it’s very ill -advised because it will make more people on the Dims side just stay home on Election Day.

              1. I was thinking about what the DEMONicRATS are trying to do, and one thing that is EXTREMELY disturbing is they’re effectively holding VSGPDJT to INTERNATIONAL LAW, i.e., they’re attempting to impeach him due to (projected) harm to a foreign country, Ukraine. In other words, a GLOBALIST CRIME, a crime against the globalists. And I think that’s the source of this witch hunt (funded by a Satanic Black Magick Illuminist Witch); VSGPDJT has cut off their “party”, their poppy farms, and shut down their money laundries…

It’s not our business to prop up the rest of the world, especially if it’s to our detriment. Help to friends and TRULY needy (hand-up, not hand-out) is one thing. Enabling (or looking the other way from) yet another of $atan $oros’s color revolutions is not.

It will be REALLY interesting to see the dominos fall. And (sad to say) there may be some surprises there, especially on the RINO side of the aisle…

The Coup is much more than taking out Donald J Trump, it’s overthrowing the Constitution – which Should lead to Civil War.

nitpicking here (or maybe not)…but how can you exploit a media who is perfectly willing, not just to go along with, but to take a lead role right out in front and cheerlead such criminal behavior. They’re just as guilty as the Dems and Deep State, imo.

    1. I will repeat….

There is no possible way that AG William Barr would have given the speeches that he gave at Notre Dame and The Federalist Society….both well documented here at the Q tree…

….and subsequently fail to BRING THE PAIN and full weight of the DOJ against the coupists.

Note, too, that the AG wants to reinstate the federal death penalty, and he has used the word “treason” as well as the phrase “overturn the legal gov’t of the United States”.

THIS is precisely why the left and democrats in DC are in a panic.

The Barr tab is due and there are very, very serious felony indictments of senior Obama officials, democrats, and media people coming.

Oh, and what I really meant to start with… let’s see if NuttyNan actually calls a Vote on their 2 bogus Articles of M’peach……..if so….she and her posse will have just fallen into the “treason trap.”

This is what networking can do! 😀

        POSSIBLE chronology:

May 25-26 – polling is looking terrible for Hillary, and money is tight (California). Hillary and her lieutenants leaning on California DNC to come through for Hillary “or else”.

May 27 – many calls to see if China can be scared into coughing up cash. Arrangements made for a deal, but a DNC oligarch son has to show up in person to sign and then finalize payback of “guarantees”, signed in documents that could send him to prison (OWNED BY CHINA)

May 28 – Pelosi boy flies out, cash begins flowing immediately when he’s in the air, if not sooner, under a preliminary agreement

June 7 – California primary held, Hillary ahead thanks to quick Chinese aid

June 8 – California primary results confirm Hillary winner and actual margin

June 9 – payback (higher for WIN) finalized by Pelosi son

June 10 – Pelosi’s son heads home – mission accomplished

That is one hell of a convenient timeline.

  10. Dropping this in case the official version gets sanitized in the future.

The gunmen who killed three people at a kosher supermarket after fatally shooting a police officer in Jersey City on Tuesday “targeted the location they attacked,” Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop said late Tuesday.

“Based on our initial investigation (which is ongoing) we now believe the active shooters targeted the location they attacked,” the mayor said on Twitter late Tuesday. “Due to an excess of caution the community may see additional police resources in the days/weeks ahead. We have no indication there are any further threats.”

the NYPD was boosting its presence at “high-profile sites, including synagogues.” New York authorities were working with Jersey City police and New Jersey State Police, the councilman said.

“The Mayor of Jersey City has asserted that today’s incident was a deliberate attack targeting the Jewish community,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Twitter.

“This tragically confirms that a growing pattern of violent anti-Semitism has now turned into a crisis for our nation. And now this threat has reached the doorstep of New York City,” de Blasio’s post said.

    1. The Dems are already starting the false narrative of…’Trump wants to destroy the FBI to cover up his guilt.’

They don’t say What guilt they are referring to.

They are just casting the seeds out there, that cleaning house at the FBI = obstruction and coverup.

So firing Wray could be tricky.

      1. The FBI has a lot of good people, as we have seen in the recent actions against ChiComs – they are really getting results.

The problem is that “political correctness” has necessarily introduced (drumroll……) *POLITICS*. I mean, AS IF political correctness could do anything else! It MUST do it.

This is why I say they MUST get rid of every bit of politically correct bullshit – just DUMP IT.

Political correctness has to be dumped so that they can approach all crimes from all angles, and CHECK THEMSELVES when somebody says “Donald Trump is a Russian agent”.

FREAKING CRAP! Can they talk back to PC? NO!

Seriously – can an FBI agent say “That sounds like CIA crap – I don’t buy it – let’s investigate THAT angle”.

Can an FBI agent say “That’s Democrat CRAP – we don’t investigate bullshit!”

The “bias training” they were taking was POLITICAL and POINTLESS, destroying effectiveness. It’s DEMOCRAT. They have to CUT THIS SHIT OUT.

Is Wray up for that? Don’t know.

Seriously, look at how much was wasted because of political bullshit.

NEVER AGAIN. There has to be an attitude of NEVER AGAIN being sucked into POLITICS.

Trump and Barr have handed WRAY an AX. It needs to SWING and cut out the ROT.

Wray needs to be kept on a tight leash.
          By that I mean:

          — Policy changes spelled out so they are not left up to ‘interpretation.

          — Short timeline deadlines so there will be no stalling.

When you are in business for yourself…you learn pretty quick about ‘The Immediateness of Now’.

Wray needs to be acquainted with this concept.

          1. He did pretty good earlier with the quick removal of the “problems” such as McCabe and Strzok.

If he can facilitate a “bottom-up revolution” there that identifies all the problem people in management who have maintained the politicization, and get them side-doored out of management into worker bee slots of comparable pay grade, perhaps he can effect the change without a lot of blood-letting. However, I suspect there is a lot of PC dead wood that can’t do jack other than to parry with the weapons of PC.

In other words, if political BIAS can be fought as well as RACIAL and SEXUAL BIAS, then maybe there is hope. But I think that doing so is going to have a lot of the political actors FLEEING.

    2. I don’t understand why people (like SD) can’t comprehend this concept: Pres. Trump puts people in positions for a reason and removes them when they have served their purpose. That doesn’t mean he always makes perfect decisions, but it does mean that those kinds of actions are part of the plan.

The plan doesn’t consist of “perfect” people; it consists of strategic actions taken at the right time to get the job done and move the plan along. It’s not always black-and-white, or that someone is a black hat or white hat, only, forever. That’s not even how life works. Pres. Trump said during the campaign that he knows some “iffy” people who could get the job done. I think those who don’t understand this, and how he operates, by now, are willfully blind and have an agenda.

      1. Well said.

Chess using real people is not simple, and even the best pieces get sacrificed at the right time, just like in real chess. Pretending that’s not part of the game is neither honest nor realistic.

People don’t just rise to the LEVEL of their incompetence – people arrive at the MOMENT of their incompetence. It’s just the way it is. That is when a new piece is played, and an old one let go.

Wray needs to see some moves here.

In chess there are no unions.

But even with unions to contend with…you can still send someone ‘to the cornfield’.

You can strip them of their clearances and transfer them to a remote outpost somewhere.
They can squawk all they want to…but they are essentially nullified and removed from any power.

I have wondered if the references to “Corn” have had something to do with that old Twilight Zone reference of being “wished into the cornfield”.

      2. When Donald Trump announced his campaign for president, SD was the original “Trusty Plan” guy from my perspective. There certainly were others, but I was following SD’s every word at the time.

I understand that people’s opinions and points of view change…but for him to just do a complete 180 and then trash everyone who still holds that view, who he himself informed of the “Trusty Plan” as he now calls it…is evidence of a disturbed mind. And now it’s like he can’t help himself…he just can’t leave it alone. He acts as if nothing he has ever posted has turned out to be untrue…which, of course is false. He needs to just stop. Life is too short to live in a perpetual pissing contest with people on the internet.

        1. What we are dealing with here is EGO, power, and control.

Q and all of us here threatened SD’s superiority. We all believed Q knew more than SD, and he couldn’t have that. So, like the cult leader I think he aspires to be, he banished us before we could expose him, and changed the tone and content of his sermon to the ones left behind. He now acts as if the whole thing never happened. It’s called GASLIGHTING. It is a tool of people trying to maintain power over others. So is negativity and fear, BTW. Keep them afraid so they will stay.

Q, and we, were the positive, glass-more-than-full, happy warrior contingent. In order to CONTROL the group, SD went to the opposite side, and removed us all. Can I say THANK GOD for that?

They’re impeaching him because their donors, the ChiComs & globalists, are freaking out and commanding them to do it.

They’re impeaching him, not because he’s guilty of anything, but because they are trying to affect the outcome of the upcoming Election.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic

    For @Dawnz

You asked, “Barium meal? Traps?..I’m confused, lol, how did that work?”

    A “barium meal” is a counter-espionage tactic.

It’s named after a medical procedure used to test whether or not your digestive system is healthy.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic
Tom Clancy called it a “canary trap.”

What you do is feed suspected leakers information that has “markers” in it.

Let’s say you have ten people who might be leakers.

You feed each one a slightly different version of the same story.

When a particular version of the story appears in the press, you can trace it back to the leakers.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic
Trump told the press TO THEIR FACES that he was doing this.

“The leaks are real. The news is fake.”

    There’s only one possible meaning:

    Barium meals. Canary traps.

    But Trump did something else.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic
When Michael Flynn was National Security Advisor, he chose civilians and former members of the Defense Intelligence Agency who had never been photographed.

They were all given Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TC/SCI) clearance.

After Flynn resigned, they all kept their TC/SCI clearance.

    And they all disappeared.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic
Officially, H. R. McMaster fired them, but I was unable to trace a single person after Flynn resigned.

The people I was able to identify were NOT doing the jobs that the press reported.

Every single one had a NOC (non-official cover) story.

These were the Leak Killers. They went into the bowels of the Washington bureaucracy and hunted down leakers.

    Thomas Wictor @ThomasWic
Every president has been plagued by leaks of classified information.

    Every president except for Trump.

He PLANTS stories about how he’s confused, hysterical, and failing.

The press eats them up without noticing that they haven’t blown A SINGLE CLASSIFIED OPERATION.

    The Trump administration is airtight.

    Thomas Wictor
Trump simply adapted his business OPSEC (operations security) to politics.

    And that’s why he wins.

Politics is child’s play compared to commercial real state.

    1. I remember him making a big deal about this using an example of “spy” Ezra Cohen Watnick (no photos). Watnick was later re-hired or re-positioned, maybe Pence’s staff? Still no pictures.

      1. Ezra Cohen Watnick was hired onto AG Sessions staff.

        ohn Doe (@Truth_inContext) July 22, 2019

Ezra was brought in to the NSC by gen. Michael Flynn- At one time POTUS intervened into McMaster trying to fire Ezra in exchange for Linda Weissgold, the author of the infamous Benghazi talking points Having been trained at Camp Peary by CIA he served with DIA & ONI

The Intelligence Service of Cohen Watnick included such integral locations as Miami-Haiti-Afghanistan & Virginia as GS-13. Ezra was one of the first to identify reports that the Trump campaign was being surveilled. It was rumored that he was the one who gave Nunes the 411

Though the allegation of Ezra’s involvement in Nunes receiving the information of Intelligence Abuse was denied. Ezra survived the initial onslaught of MsMaster cleaning out Flynn’s choices thanks to POTUS. However he was inevitably let go in August of 2017

After Ezra left the National Security Council– he went to work for Oracle Group briefly> In ‘spring of 2018 Ezra was rumored to be joining the Justice Department. At the urging of President Trump & some patience he was finally offered a job there and is currently at DOJ

Ezra really broke open the abuse of the “unmasking” requests that have been centered around FISA abuse & Samantha Power since 2016. It seems much that was within the OIG report that led to firings/demotions of Mueller team were uncovered by Ezra

A close confidant of Flynn & someone who is not well liked within the elite circles of intelligence, Cohen-Watnick has provided an up close & personal perspective on what a “white-hat” truly is or a “stealth bomber”, if you will.

He is central to knowing what was actually going on in 2016 Which is why spokesman for Cucky Schumer stated during his hiring at Justice that “Cohen-Watnick must not come near the Mueller Special Counsel” Thou, doth protest too much?

The fact that he is now at Justice, speaks volumes–Especially as we gear up for the Fake News Mueller Jamboree. He was at the time of hiring @ Justice- an advisor to Jeff Sessions now I’m sure playing a similar capacity to AG Barr. Not certain, however.

Rumor has it fellow intel officers in DIA>Afghanistan & Haiti were conspicuous of Ezra, implying he was a snitch, or rat willing to drum up dirt on the “rogue apparatus” black ops. Close with Flynn during his time in Intelligence-No wonder Obama & rogue intel want them both gone

This screencap from Wiki entry provides enough juice to prove how integral Ezra has been in literally leading the deep-state into a trap or “giving them the rope to hang themselves” ” he pressed counterintelligence officials… …including the CIA, to finalize plans for Russia”

        From OT

        gda says:
        May 31, 2018 at 1:22 am

For those wondering how savvy Devin Nunes is to the games Trey Gowdy is playing, remember that a certain Derek Harvey has been on Nunes’ staff since September 2017. A compatriot of Ezra Cohen-Watnick, Harvey was fired by H. R. McMaster in late July 2017.

A longtime intelligence analyst who had been close to former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Ret. Army Col. Harvey is a Senior Executive Service-member of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
DIA is a national-level intelligence organization that does not belong to a single military element or the traditional chain of command, instead answering to the Secretary of Defense directly through the USDI.
For all we know, Derek Harvey is the additional staff member who attends when Gowdy goes to read these documents. He would be the perfect person for Nunes to send with Gowdy.

And where is Cohen-Watnick? He’s the national security adviser to United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

  15. Interesting article about Paul Pelosi Jr.

He’s apparently been on the run lately…to avoid having to speak to the FBI, who have been on his trail for over a year.

It’s a sordid story, involving his girlfriend Karena Feng, a Taiwan-born woman living in San Francisco.

    ————- From the article:

Now, new evidence confirms that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was actively hunting for information on Paul Pelosi Jr.’s whereabouts and potential criminal business activities, prompting a subpoena for some of Feng’s records and causing Pelosi Jr. to panic and go on the run.

    1. Actually
if he was yelling at her (and no doubt he was) THAT was assault.
When he laid hands on her it was BATTERY

      What Is Battery?

Battery refers to a general class of assaultive type offenses. Each state defines the conduct that it considers battery, but battery is generally defined as an unlawful application of force to the person of another. Essentially, battery involves using unwanted force or physical violence against another…

Assault in Michigan is an attempt to cause physical injury to another person – for instance, attempting to strike someone with a hand or object, and missing. Assault is also any intentional act or threat of action, if the assailant appears to have the ability to carry out the threat, that reasonably causes a person to believe that he is about to be struck or injured.

(Mich. Comp. Laws Ann. § 750.81.)

Battery is actual offensive physical contact, such as punching another person or hitting someone with an object.

(Mich. Comp. Laws Ann. § 750.81.)

Michigan law categorizes these crimes as assault and “assault and battery” because battery is considered the completion of a violent process, a threat or attempt to injure – assault – which ends in contact – a battery.

Assault is a felony crime when committed with the intent to murder or cause great bodily harm or when committed with the intent to commit another felony, such as kidnapping or robbery. Assault or battery, when committed against certain victims, such as a human services agency employee, police officer, or a pregnant woman, is also a felony. Additionally, assault or battery is a felony when committed with a dangerous weapon, including a firearm….

I can not find if Michigan law categorizes battery against a child as a special case.

    1. FTA reports that New Jersey has the second most stringent gun control laws of any state. Those laws include an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, and a ban on bump stocks and “ghost guns.” New Jersey also has universal background checks, requires would-be gun owners to get a firearm purchaser ID card before buying a long gun, and requires a separate ID card for buying a handgun. The state requires possession of a firearm purchaser ID card in order to buy ammunition as well.

ALL those gun control laws and measures in a Dem controlled state…how did that work out for youz guyz?

      1. Why the law’s failure just proves beyond any doubt that we need more and tougher regulatory gun laws. And if that doesn’t work, then the obvious solution is forced confiscation. Yeah. That’ll work!

  22. SI names Rapinoe sportsperson of the year…she trashed them…can’t make this stuff up!

As one of just four women to win the Sportsperson of the Year award, she wasted no time in putting SI in the hot seat, saying in an acceptance speech, “Is it truth that I’m only the fourth woman deserving of this award? I don’t think so.”

“Is it true so few writers of color deserve to be featured in this publication? No. Is it true so few women’s voices deserve to be heard and deserve to be read in this publication? I don’t think so.”

There’s a certain poetic justice in SI trying to be woke and then getting eaten by their own wokeness. You can truly never be woke enough for the left and Rapinoe makes that clear by using her speech to trash the very publication that is lauding her. Her doing so simply adds to the body of evidence that she’s an entitled brat. The idea that far-left SI isn’t left-wing enough is laughable. But these are the times we are living in.

Suppose the dirty deeds were done in an rented RV parked on the street somewhere. Are we going to charge the leasing company with a crime?

I think the did a medley of 10 songs in an hour. Just the 1st graders, no others. When he starts these things he always says he won’t do it and hates it, then makes a choice to perform at the end. He did everything and sang all his words. I knew he was tired when the started singing Away in a Manger and he did a huge yawn! Going to be getting him up shortly for school so hopefully not grumpy today.
He will have a spring play too. Likely to go through the same process. Not sure if its performance anxiety or what. He sure is excited when he done it though!
