Dear KMAG: 20191021 Open Topic

This Merry Warrior Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KMAG/KAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

Yes, it’s Monday…again.

Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. But please keep it civil.
Discussion of Q is not only allowed but encouraged. Imagine that! We can talk about Q here and not get banned.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.

    1. EWTN, America Magazine and a few others have come out calling this “thieves steal” and all that jazz. On various Twitter posts, the comments are FABULOUS. “You spelled ‘Catholic heroes'” wrong, and THANK GOD are pretty popular.

  1. Grace-Filled Speech

    OCTOBER 21, 2019

Titus 2:7-8 in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified 8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

Words are powerful. Harsh remarks can cause a destructive chain reaction, like a match in the forest during a drought. Kind comments, on the other hand, feel like a light summer rain that brings relief from the heat of day.

We can know our words are refreshing and seasoned with grace when …

Our tone and manner reflect the way we want others to speak to us. The behavior of others shouldn’t determine whether we speak kindly to them. If we want people to talk to us gently, we should consistently present positive body language and speak with a gentle voice.

What we say about others is similar to what we would want said of us. We all need to have our strengths emphasized by friends and family so we can be confident of the gifts God has given us.

We speak only words we know to be true. Gossip and lies have no place in a Christian’s conversation. The Lord opposes lying tongues and false witnesses (Prov. 6:16-19 There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,

18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,

19 A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.

Our speech is edifying. Speaking fairly and positively about others is part of godly speech.

Transforming our conversation begins with the right heart attitude. When we spend time in the Word of God, our hearts will soften and we’ll begin to respond differently. The Holy Spirit will convict us when our speech is inappropriate. He’ll also teach us to be aware of which words we use and when to stop talking. God will be glorified and others will be blessed when we practice grace-filled speech.

Trump isn’t a tennis player, but a golfer….he PAID for a new golf simulator in the WH basement. Melania got the WH bowling alley modernized and remodeled. There’s a budget for it. As confined as first families are, at times, access to sports on site is important.

I don’t know whether Barron uses it, but if he does, what does it matter whom he plays with — a schoolmate, his many family members, etc.?

We never see Barron because the second he appears in public, the media pounces and the Leftist plebeians make every cruel and speculative comment imaginable. If he can make use of a tennis court at the WH, I think that’s great.

The First Family can’t go anywhere without extreme security at great cost to us. I imagine a tennis court on site, that many people can use, pales in comparison, cost-wise.

Young people get big benefits from exercise, and older people would too if they would step away from the keyboard more often.

              ______________

I have just observed that it’s very hard to play tennis by oneself, unless you’re really fast and good at jumping hurdles.

As for why it matters who he plays with, it matters if taxpayers are paying for a tennis pro to facilitate young Barron’s tennis lessons.

I sometimes wonder if people forget that ours is not a monarchy where we gush over and ogle our leaders and their family like royalty.

It’s the Peoples’ House, and it’s the Peoples’ money who keeps it running, and it would be nice if it wasn’t run it in a way that makes it indistinguishable from all the waste and largess typical of a monarch.

Yes, I know it’s peanuts compared to the national deficit (and debt), and people can ‘poo-poo’ it all they want, but it’s a matter of principle.

And the leader of the country sets the example.

And yes, I know he sets an example by donating his salary (which apparently he has limited choice over where it can be donated).

              That’s great.

              It’s also a separate issue.

It’s not the money, it’s the principle(s) involved.

If you uphold principle(s), the money issues take care of themselves.

If you don’t uphold principle(s), then you end up with the biggest, most bloated and wasteful government in the history of the world.

Which is exactly what we have.

              1. How did a tennis pro get inserted into this story? Do you really think the Trumps would give Barron tennis lessons on our dime?

Nobody — and I mean nobody — is gushing over the inhabitants of the WH as if they were monarchy. That is completely out of the realm of patriot thought and is the antithesis of what it means to be an American.

“It’s peanuts compared to the national debt” — which is exactly not the comparison I was making. Which was the cost of security when the First Family (and others) go places.

Some people have complained about the cost of clothing for politicians and dignitaries over the years (which is at their own expense anyway). I think, if you’re going to be performing on the world stage, you should look and act the part and you should represent our country well. And the people’s house should also be in shipshape condition. Who knows what conversations and negotiations can be held during leisure activities like tennis, bowling, movies, etc.? We already know that a lot happens during golf games.

There is no principle at stake here.

According to the South China Morning Post, Chinese customs officials have put a ban on certain goods being shipped into Hong Kong from China.

The list of restricted goods appears to be a response to the protests rocking the city, with a July notice from the courier company PHXBUY noting that China has banned shipping companies from delivering “yellow helmets, yellow umbrellas, flags, flagpoles, poster banners, gloves, masks, black T-shirts, me tal rods, fluorescent tubes, bludgeon clubs.”

James has a twin brother that is not being forced to wear dresses or masquerade as a girl. James lives as a girl when with his mother, but when with his father and given the choice, the little boy lives as a boy. James’ father, Jeffrey Younger, says that James is ‘all boy’ and is only trying to please his mother.

A court battle between the parents is taking place this week in Dallas, Texas, where the mother is asking the court to to limit the boys’ overnight stays with their father, force the Christian man to refer to James as “Luna,” require Jeffrey to take a class on transgenderism, and compel him to complete two years of counseling.”

She said the demographics are against them. There is one British town – I think she said Birmingham – where the Muslim population is 97%. There is nothing they can do. Especially since the Muslims keep breeding like rabbits and the white population has slowed down.

She said that England is her home and she plans to stay there until the end. She’s willing to be one of the last ones fighting, but she will never let them drive her from her home. It was one of the saddest interviews I’ve ever seen.

    1. Those men displayed remarkable restraint.

      Stupid restraint.

One woman was swinging for the face (with who knows what kind of rings on her fingers), and the other was kicking at the groin area.

In either case, the man is well within his rights to hit her right back.

If violence is ‘off the table’ to take it back by force, then indeed all is lost.

To my knowledge, nobody who ever took a nation by force gave it back to the people who wouldn’t fight for it.

      It’s insanity.

Everybody is terrified to DO anything, because corrupt government has created a system where whites are destroyed for the tiniest infraction, while the islamic invaders are given carte blanche to ‘do what thou wilt’.

I was thinking about this, and my previous reply, and I probably should have explained a bit better.

I don’t mean to be inconsiderate, it’s usually because I’m exasperated.

In this particular case, it’s like Europe is a family, sitting in their living room, with a big picture window facing the street. I’m walking by, and I see that the second floor is on fire. Not just a little, it’s roaring, so much so, I can hardly believe the family inside doesn’t hear it.

So I’m waving at them from the sidewalk, imploring them to get out, but they don’t see me.

Eventually they do see me, but they think I’m just waving, so they smile and wave back, oblivious to the fire raging above them.

All they have to do is come outside, and they will be safe.

But if they stay in the house much longer, the ceiling is going to collapse and they’re all going to die.

I’m jumping up and down, trying to get their attention, begging them to get out, but they won’t. They can’t hear me, and they’re not curious enough to come outside to find out what all the commotion is about.

I can’t go in to help them. They can help themselves if they just come out, but they won’t come out.

They’re going to die. For nothing. Needlessly.

That kind of exasperation is what usually results in blunt comments, because I have already exhausted every other kind of communication, long ago.

Obama Headlining Democrat Redistricting Fundraiser at Alex Soros’s Home

Former President Barack Obama will headline a fundraiser for the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC) at Alex Soros’s New York City home on Monday evening, according to Politico Playbook.

Also expected to attend the NDRC event are the group’s founder and chairman, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and former Virginia governor and CNN contributor Terry McAuliffe.

Founded in 2016, the NDRC is a super PAC aimed at positioning Democrats favorably in the round of redistricting after the 2020 census.

The thing here is that Democrats’ don’t need just the seats in the states with large populations to remain the same, but they need to be able to bypass Republican control of a number of states with substantial numbers. My state is one with gerrymandered districts. There’s no way any Clay would be elected without them. Yet, that seat has been in that family for decades.

They’ve been doing this for so long, they know where to concentrate resources. Watching and learning from their efforts would be worth the time. Study your enemy and all that.

By naming a specific vacancy, it prevents them from grouping all the complaints together and condemning them as a group. His staff will have to research each one in order to advise SS’s chief-of-staff.

Each complaint to SS should also include a reference to RBG’s appointment by a Republican POTUS.

        1. Are you on Windows 7 or 10? Unless you have it set up different, or agreed to a prompt to permanently delete, the folder and files might be in your recycle bin (the trash can on the desk top) Hope that helps.

There are also undelete programs like Win undelete, but you have to do it quick if things are on your main drive (most people only have one drive), Windows tends to over write sectors in a sequential order, and once over written, they are hard to get back. Everything you do like adding files or even opening new browser caches cause things to get over written. Hope that helps.

        1. What does that mean? System restore should do the trick. I think Chrome puts everything on the Google cloud but I could be wrong about that. Lots of people sync their smartphones to their home ‘puters – maybe that’s you (hopefully)?

If I was in that situation with no obvious fix, I would truck on down to the local computer store with my computer and have them clone the hard drive. Then they can use that clone to find the missing folder because I don’t believe it’s really gone UNLESS you have a virus/worm. Then all bets are off.

It was a different type of bookmark folder a friend set up, and we’ll try and contact him and ask about recovery. I started a new one which simply is part of chrome? “other bookmarks” but it isn’t where the previous one was, and of course, I’m rebuilding. But lost dozens.

    1. Did you check your trashbin?

I don’t know where the bookmark folder is, but if it’s on your hardrive, then the deleted file(s) and folders should be in your trashbin, in which case you should be able to ‘restore’ them.

It might also work if your computer is set to do automatic backups every few weeks or once a month. If so, restoring to a date previous to the deletion might work.

There is definitely a way to rescue your old files, I’m just not technically saavy enough to know a sure way to do it.

If no friends or family are able to help, you might try one of those fee-for-technical PC assistance websites. It shouldn’t cost much, and someone who is an expert could probably walk you through the process quickly.

        1. The point about speed in file recovery was a good one. The likelihood of success for a file or image recovery program increases if you are quick to act, and if the disk your files are on is large and relatively uncluttered. Whatever you do, DON’T to a disk defragmentation.

Windoze deletes files by changing the numerical code ot the first byte (character) of the filename. These zombie files remain (especially on large or mostly empty disks) until the space is needed. Many products keep backup copies of their files and/or directories. Internet exploder is notorious for this. It also keeps what are known as .dat files, some of which might keep all of the URLs you’ve visited. As others have mentioned, there are means for backing up either your browser (or history), your applications, or even the whole system. Even a little 1TB (wow, weird saying that) portable USB drive for an occasional backup would be useful (or two, in alternation, for more safety). And for very important files, a backup, kept off site (or in a fireproof safe or “file”) is important.

If you have two (or more) computers, you can mirror files between them, if that’s OK for all folks concerned… (since M$ has killed off all their home server products)…

This is a court case that discusses government cannot interfere with certain rights, and Labor is among the most fundamental of those rights.

““These inherent rights have never been more happily expressed than in the Declaration of Independence, that new evangel of liberty to the people: “We hold these truths to be self-evident” — that is so plain that their truth is recognized upon their mere statement — “that all men are endowed” — not by edicts of Emperors, or decrees of Parliament, or acts of Congress, but “by their Creator with certain inalienable rights” — that is, rights which cannot be bartered away, or given away, or taken away except in punishment of crime — “and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to secure these” — not grant them but secure them — “governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

Among these inalienable rights, as proclaimed in that great document, is the right of men to pursue their happiness, by which is meant the right to pursue any lawful business or vocation, in any manner not inconsistent with the equal rights of others, which may increase their prosperity or develop their faculties, so as to give to them their highest enjoyment.”

“”The property which every man has in his own labor, as it is the original foundation of all other property, so it is the most sacred and inviolable. The patrimony of the poor man lies in the strength and dexterity of his own hands, and to hinder his employing this strength and dexterity in what manner he thinks proper, without injury to his neighbor, is a plain violation of this most sacred property. It is a manifest encroachment upon the just liberty both of the workman and of those who might be disposed to employ him. As it hinders the one from working at what he thinks proper, so it hinders the others from employing whom they think proper.” Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, Bk. I. Important… what we see there is labor (work) is the foundation of all property (and therefore property RIGHTS).

Labor: The Fundamental Property Right. And it’s not just property, but that’s a key one. The foundation of all other property, and property rights, that starts with Labor. Because you won’t have anything if you can’t work to get it.

Mr. John S. Dawson, Attorney General of the State of Kansas, and Mr. J.I. Sheppard for defendant in error.
      …………………………………..

Item 14 of SC case: “The principle is fundamental and vital. Included in the right of personal liberty and the right of private property — partaking of the nature of each — is the right to make contracts for the acquisition of property. Chief among such contracts is that of personal employment, by which labor and other services are exchanged for money or other forms of property. If this right be struck down or arbitrarily interfered with, there is a substantial impairment of liberty in the long-established constitutional sense. The right is as essential to the laborer as to the capitalist, to the poor as to the rich;; for the vast majority of persons have no other honest way to begin to acquire property, save by working for money.”

There’s that fundamental property right, work or labor is the foundation of property.

      .

And the RIGHT to CONTRACT for work is self-evident.

Not only can the government NOT lawfully interfere with these rights, but the government’s PRIMARY PURPOSE is to PROTECT these rights!

Labor: The Fundamental Property Right. And it’s not just property, but that’s a key one. The foundation of all other property, and property rights, that starts with Labor. Because you won’t have anything if you can’t work to get it.

      236 U.S. 1 (1915)
      COPPAGE
      v.
      STATE OF KANSAS.
      No. 48.
      Supreme Court of United States.
      Submitted October 30, 1914.
      Decided January 25, 1915.
ERROR TO THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF KANSAS.
*4 Mr. R.R. Vermilion and Mr. W.F. Evans for plaintiff in error.
Mr.
