Dear KMAG: 20190819 Open Topic

This Merry Warrior Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA-KMAG-KAG! world.

Yes, it’s Monday…again.

Visual descriptions for our dear Zoe, and for anyone else who may find them helpful:

Header Image: Is President Trump at Bedminster, walking down some stairs out onto the grounds. He has a slight mischievous grin on his face as he eyes something, we don’t know what…but quite possibly a gaggle of press curs.

Second Image: Is a moving image, a gif, of a polar bear with his head and shoulders down on the ice. He is pushing forward with his hind legs. He looks tired…but is pushing himself forward, even with his front half down on the ice.

Third Image: Is another gif, of a small Husky puppy lying on some bedding. There is a hand giving him a loving little scratch on the side of his face as he yawns and smiles back.

Fourth Image: Fourth Image: President Trump is standing on the stairway outside the door of Air Force One. It is night time and the lights shining on him create a shadow of him on the aircraft door that looks like the head of an Eagle.

  1. Are you ready for this? When you quit laughing, discuss.

DOE: Keep your house no cooler than 78 degrees
Energy Star also said you should set your thermostat to 82 degrees when you’re sleeping.

Federal program Energy Star might not have been thinking of Houstonians when it made recommendations for in-home air conditioners.

Consumer Reports last month released some settings recommendations for air conditioners to help cut down energy usage and cost. Even in relatively mild areas of the U.S. that don’t consistently experience long-term heat waves, energy bills can still shoot up in the summer months.

Energy Star, the federal program from the DOE and the Environmental Protection Agency, said the coolest you should keep your home is 78 degrees when you’re home.

When you’re at work or away, the program recommends setting it at 85 degrees. When you’re sleeping, Energy Star said to set the thermostat at 82 degrees.

Florida’s Public Service Commission also recommended keeping your thermostat at 78 degrees and raising it a few degrees when you leave for the day. The PSC also says to run ceiling fans while the A/C is running at a higher temperature.

The U.S. Department of Energy also says to keep your home at 78 degrees while you’re there. DOE also says to use ceiling fans to keep cool but to remember that fans cool people, not whole rooms.

Dep Pat comment: yeah, right. 82 degrees to sleep? More like 72 or cooler.

    1. 82 degrees to sleep? More like 72 or cooler.

Definitely need a cool atmosphere for sleep. Maybe if they would give up their desire to control us, they could just educate us on how much energy can be saved by turning up the thermostat a degree or two and let us decide what is feasible for our work, sleep, and electric bills.

    2. Americans don’t look to the Department of Energy / Environmental Protection Agency for guidance on anything.

D-Rats, MCM and talking heads will echo the brilliance…then cool thir homes and businesses to 68 to 70 degrees.

Sort of like Global warming / climate change assholes flying around in their private jets.

SMH at the stoopidity of DOE/EPA.

Hope President Trump gets a question on this, AND President Trump bad mouths it.

    1. Williams is the token leftist who gets paid to be a braying jackass on Fox. His opposite, as far as that goes, is Meghan McCain on The View.

      Point is…

    1. Quick take:

“Free hydrogen is extremely reactive. It is ten times more flammable than gasoline, and twenty times more explosive. And the flame of a hydrogen fire is invisible.”

I foresee big problems, despite the fact that “the energy in 2.2 pounds (1 kilogram) of hydrogen gas is about the same as the energy in 1 gallon (6.2 pounds, 2.8 kilograms) of gasoline”.

There is a reason why cars aren’t fueled by hydrogen, and it’s not because people haven’t thought about it or studied it.

    2. My question…

How can one eliminate the negatives of hydrogen (relative to auto gas) while retaining the energy advantages?

Seems like the real issue is that having enough hydrogen to power a car for any reasonable distance would require same to be liquified, which in turn would require a heavy pressure vessel (See: LNG and propane).

      But I’m just spitballing here.

      1. Care to expound on the ion issue and the explosive capacity?

Locally, the mass transit people experimented with LNG, or just NG, and the vehicles (buses) were determined to be not cost effective. How is that issue overcome?

  2. This CANNOT be allowed to happen ever again. Under NO circumstances….

Left-Wing Protesters Adopted ‘Gauntlet’ at New Hampshire Rally

    https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/08/19/gauntlet-new-hampshire/

    QUOTE:

“Hundreds of left-wing protesters formed a gauntlet outside President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, last Thursday, forcing Trump supporters to walk through it on their way to the SNHU Arena, and endure taunts of “shame” and “KKK.”

The goal of the “gauntlet” tactic appears to be to intimidate and humiliate Trump supporters — and to reflect a sense of moral superiority among Trump opponents. A secondary goal may be to provoke Trump supporters into responding with violence.“

Here’s a 3rd goal….intimidate supporters from coming out to publicly support POTUS.
    .
    .
    .

MEMO TO WHITE HAT #MAGA ORGANIZERS:

YOU CANNOT ALLOW THE PRESIDENT’S SUPPORTERS TO BE HERDED THROUGH LEFTIST “GAUNTLETS OF SHAME” THAT SEEK TO FORCE THEM TO ENDURE INSULT AND SLANDER (OR WORSE) WHEN THEY ARE TRYING TO PEACEFULLY SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR POTUS.

THIS IS ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE AND MUST BE PREVENTED….WITHOUT FAIL…..FOR ALL FUTURE RALLY #MAGA EVENTS.

REMEMBER ITS NEVER THE GUY WHO THROWS THE FIRST PUNCH THAT GETS SEEN, BUT THE PERSON WHO REACTS TO IT.

DONT PUT PRESIDENT TRUMP’S SUPPORTERS INTO A POSITION OF HAVING TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST UNHINGED, RAVING LEFTIST LUNATICS WHEN THEY ARE COMING OUT PUBLICLY….AND PEACEFULLY…..TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR POTUS.

      1. A question for a question, as I’m assuming you think the local cops were NOT caught off guard and therefore had no prior plans to mitigate the risk.

How do you know it was INTENTIONALLY “facilitated by the locals”?

        facilitated: verb
        – make (an action or process) easy or easier.

        1. From the article:

“Police officers set up a perimeter immediately around the SNHU Arena, but no further, allowing protesters to come face-to-face with Trump supporters. Two officers stood at the end of the gauntlet, apparently monitoring what was happening and conversing with the “peacekeepers.””

If the local LE people were serious, they would have done more than just this.

    1. This past week, I’ve been hauling bags of sand mix with planting mix dirt to fill holes in my yard. Sand is heavy and helps the soil not to wash so badly.

      A 50 lb bag of sand is about 18″L X 12″W X 6″D – add another 38 lbs…that’s more than half of another bag.

That’s a lot of weight to add to one’s luggage, if they were flying or traveling by ship or to tote to the car.

  3. Remember this guy??

    Yeah.

Well, how do you like knowing that…

“…the South Carolina Republican now holds the gavel of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee, which in the seven months since he took over as chair has done exactly nothing in response to the left’s character assassination—through perjury and possible witness tampering—of now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham is squandering his power. Instead of going on Fox, he should be subpoenaing Bruce Ohr, Glenn Simpson, Nellie Ohr, Kathleen Kavalec, Victoria Nuland, Jonathan Winer, Joseph Pientka, Lisa Page, and Sally Yates and put them under oath & Klieg lights.”

Graham’s failure to fully investigate Spygate portends an even more devastating consequence to our country than his inaction surrounding the fraud pushed during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. With Spygate, we are talking about the widespread abuse of power to take down a political opponent and democratically elected president. If the Senate Judiciary committee stands down when faced with this reality, we’re likely to see the next attempt at a soft coup succeed.“

    1. Are PDJT and Scaramucci making a lot of noise to distract the MSM with a shiny object?

Or is this Scaramucci talking nasty about PDJT his real sentiments? Back in the Trump Tower gold elevator days, when Scaramucci was a big fan and staunch defender of the President-elect.
