Dear KMAG: 20190817 Open Topic

Welcome! Come on inside through the secret back entrance.

This Special Q-Day-Seventeen Saturday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world.

Take the elevator up….

And find a comfy spot.

Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. But please keep it civil.

Discussion of Q is not only allowed but encouraged. Imagine that! We can talk about Q here and not get banned.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.

Remember – your greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

For your listening enjoyment, I offer this composition from Audiomachine, titled ‘Godspeed’:

Visual descriptions for our dear Zoe, and for anyone else who may find them helpful:

Header Image: Is an opening in the base of an enormous Tree, with moss-covered steps leading up into it. There is a lantern inside and another lantern hanging just outside the entrance, with another lantern hanging further down at the beginning of the steps. Lush green ferns and flowering vegetation are growing on either side of the steps.

First Image: Is a small round wooden elevator with a couple of fold-down jumpseats inside. There is ornate metal scrollwork on the door entrance, and a sliding metal door.

Second Image: Is a cozy room with comfy-looking couches made of logs. A coffee table with logs for legs is between them. There is a chess set on the table and there are throw pillows and plaid blanket throws on the couches. The room is softly lit from lanterns hanging on the wall, and hanging from a large tree section growing up through the corner. Open windows reveal a view of tree branches.

Third Image: Is President Trump standing outside of Bedminster, with a solemn look of resolve on his face. He has a slight frown and is squinting from the bright diffused light.

Stormy days ahead…but we’ll weather it together.

  2. headline is that ‘Italy’s Salvini agrees to let 27 minors off migrant ship’ —– sad if that’s the case. Because you know they claim a 37 year old is a minor.

  3. #ShutDownICE Protesters Shocked When When Pick-up Truck Drives Through Their Blockade

    August 15, 2019

A pickup truck drove into a row of protesters who were blocking the entrance to an ICE detention center in Rhode Island, Wednesday night, forcing them to scatter. “The whole world is watching!” the shocked crowd chanted in response. The truck reportedly belonged to a guard at the facility.

To add insult to injury, guards from the detention center later came out and pepper-sprayed the protesters.

No one one was seriously injured, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) reported.

The incident happened at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls, R.I., where hundreds of Jewish activists had gathered. The protest was organized by Never Again Action, a Jewish group that has been holding #ShutDownICE demonstrations in cities throughout the nation.

      1. When I read about the poultry industry I want to become vegetarian again.
Need to look if I can buy fresh chicken from one of the farmers around here.
Cheap labor is always the key and the other is people complaining about food prices. We pay less than many other people around the world but they also do not eat as much meat as we do. We are spoiled.

        1. I know what you mean. You may be able to find a farmer willing to raise meat pens for you for a modest sum, especially if you pay for feed, etc. It takes about 7 weeks to raise them to slaughter. They might know of a butcher in your area, too. Do an online search.

Say you eat chicken once a week, then you can raise 26 chickens for a six-month supply. Yes, you will need an extra freezer, but not a huge one.

It can be done. I compromise by buying only free range chickens, which are double the cost of the usual kind.

Do have my own laying hens, though. I find it is a process to get where I want to be with this stuff.

  4. I went to read another blog, probably about 17 comments on it… ten of the comments were one guy that took issue with a tangential thing and triggered about four commentators and the blog owner going back and forth… no commonality or agreement between them… and it shouldn’t have even been controversial

Meanwhile we have this rag tag group of commenters here and while there are disagreements and drama from time to time… nothing even close. Rarely do we even see someone try to start a food fight, and if they do start one, someone always posts the pie throwing scene from The Great Race…

My best theory is that the number of genuine commentors to genuine trolls may be a small proportion, but the trolls post WAY more and make WAY MORE NOISE.

It’s kind of like public urination. One person pissing on the wall makes the whole neighborhood/apartment building/alley stink.

This place is truly a refuge.

    1. It is so hard to think about this stuff, but I was encouraged when I read the following article. I hope you will br, too. I think it could serve as an example for us in dealing with what’s ahead in the “racist” slurs.

Imo, it helps when defend our President and one another—kindly and vigorously—in the face of our accusers.

In my experience people back down when they cannot substantiate the lies.

Barrientes Vela, top Pct. 2 officials charged county for training, then skipped it
Trio charged meals after missing training, booked expensive hotel rooms

What to Know: Some Bexar County officials, who were scheduled to attend a training on the Public Information Act, were caught booking high-dollar hotel rooms and meals, while skipping the training sessions. The info came to light through… the Public Information Act.

The TPPF Take: They really, really should have attended that training.

“There’s a special irony in the fact that the Public Information Act was used to bust local officials who were supposed to be attending a Texas Public Information Act seminar,” says TPPF’s James Quintero. “This demonstrates again—as if we needed it—how important government transparency is to all Texans.”

  8. From Michael Quinn Sullivan:

An eighth Democrat has joined the crowded primary field to challenge Republican U.S. Sen. John Cornyn. Destin Sensky reports Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez, a progressive activist who founded two leftist organizations, has thrown her hat in the ring for the Democratic Party nomination. Ramirez says she is modeling her campaign after that of former congressman and failed senatorial candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.

    { READ MORE : }

Speaking of which… the left-wing Houston Chronicle is urging O’Rourke to drop his presidential bid and enter the Democrats’ senatorial contest.

After losing to Sen. Ted Cruz in 2018, and being at the bottom of the Democrats’ presidential field, Beto would be better served getting a real job. Maybe a skateboard park is hiring?

  9. Scaramucci suspended from Twitter for 5th grade insult aimed at POTUS

Former Donald Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci said Friday that Twitter locked his account after he posted an insult aimed at the president’s weight.

Trump had jabbed at a man he thought was an overweight protester during a Manchester, New Hampshire rally, saying: ‘That guy’s got a serious weight problem. Go home, start exercising.’

Scaramucci tweeted a video excerpt, along with his own commentary: ‘Said the fattest President since William Howard Taft . . .’

. . . ‘I think it is related to “fat shaming” President Trump,’ he said. ‘I should have said he is the largest proportioned President since William Howard Taft. My bad.’

    (Though I am doubtful…)

I would love to see Trump defend the Mooch against Big Bad Twitter…

What would be really funny is to find out later that Trump and the Mooch staged this just to create more problems for Twitter…

  10. I have to share this. There was a house fire in the city a couple days ago and four children were in it. They were saved by firefighters and EMTs who were able to revive them. The mother has been charged with reckless endangerment.

Anyway, there are some photos that, IMO, are just stunning. This is one.
