Dear KAG!: 20190621 Open Topic

This FAKEBOOK FALLS FRIDAY open thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA KAG! world.

You can say what you want, comment on what other people said, and so on.

Free Speech is practiced here. ENJOY IT. Use it or lose it.

Keep it SOMEWHAT civil. They tried to FORCE fake Orwellian civility on us. In response, we CHOOSE true civility to defend our precious FREEDOM from THEM.

Our rules began with the civility of the Old Treehouse, later to become the Wolverinian Empire, and one might say that we have RESTORED THE OLD REPUBLIC – the early high-interaction model of the Treehouse – except of course that Q discussion is not only allowed but encouraged, and speech is considerably freer in other ways. Please feel free to argue and disagree with the board owner, as nicely as possible.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven.

Always be able to tell our VSG this POWER STATEMENT in TRUTH:

I AM PRAYING FOR YOU!

AND WHAT TIME IS IT?

TIME TO….

DRAIN THE SWAMP

Our movement

Is about replacing

A failed

And CORRUPT

Political establishment

With a new government controlled

By you, the American People.

It is extremely gratifying to finally see the Silicon Valley Social Media Censors being taken to task by Senator Josh Hawley.

This guy totally gets it. Silicon Valley is now a COMMUNIST THUG OPERATION, operating out of ENEMY TERRITORY in CHINA-OCCUPIED CALIFORNIA.

There was a point in time when people realized we needed to go after Section 230. I remember posting quite a bit about it. THAT was when we finally had some kind of idea WHERE to attack the beast. But BEFORE THAT, we merely recognized that something was WRONG with Silicon Valley, and they would have to be ORDERED not to censor – possibly even BROKEN UP.

Steve Bannon was the first on populism’s side to prominently suggest this. What was NOT obvious THEN, but is extremely obvious NOW, is that the left’s MASSIVE attacks against Steve Bannon began IMMEDIATELY AFTER he began talking “anti-trust” against Silicon Valley.

Now – after talking to Tonawanda today, I realize COMPLETELY how socialism in general, and Silicon Valley in particular, snuff out ideas that they don’t like – by a very stealthy campaign to keep the discussion level of that item below some critical value that THEY UNDERSTAND.

SO – now that I understand how Google and YouTube are actually run by RED DIAPER SOCIALIST THUGS – certain things make sense – that these organizations might “farm out” the silencing of viewpoints they don’t particularly want to reach whatever critical value they must not reach. And we all know that OUTSOURCING is actually a form of denial of “how it got done”. When “methods” have to be used – why – just outsource! Outsourcing – oddly enough – turns out to be a form of the MAMET PRINCIPLE – “pretending not to know”.

On July 30, 2017, I made the unknowingly risky decision to publish a piece SUPPORTING Steve Bannon’s “radical” and “unthinkable” idea of reining in Silicon Valley censorship. It was based on the idea that SOME kind of “information anti-trust” was fully in line with Trump’s form of populism – that this was almost DESTINY for the MAGA movement.

It was NOT HARD for me to figure out that, after ALL the left-provoking things I’ve risked over the Obama years, the FIRST EVER STAKING OUT of my lowly abode JUST MIGHT HAVE BEEN CONNECTED to that little article, and the surprisingly warm reception it got. (Don’t trust the numbers on Twitter – more on that later.)

The intimidation actually got way worse, as in “classic thug type”, but there is no way that I, personally, can positively connect it to Silicon Valley. But I simply assume that the threat came from there. I stepped on SOMEBODY’S hedge fund.

I should note that whatever I or others did in response, it ended the problem. For a while.

Great Awakening, baby. Think they don’t use violence? Don’t think they use threats? Think again. The bogus staged Charlottesville incident (August 11-12) and the Las Vegas Massacre (October 1) followed shortly after this.

Followed – thankfully – by the firing of Treasonous McCabe and the deployment of QAnon, due to – in my opinion – militarily significant actions by the communists in conjunction with a politically motivated COUP ATTEMPT using the FBI and the Soviet American media.

Vegas was the last straw for “puttin’ up with the coup”. And I’m very glad people did what was needed after that, to end that bullshit.

Go on from there, to see how I was “awakened” to censorship at Twitter. This is actually a lot of fun to read, because in it, I am SPECULATING WILDLY about all sorts of stuff that we now know was not just true, but RIDICULOUSLY TRUE. Oh, man, that was fun.

Link: https://wolfmoon1776.wordpress.com/2018/01/13/how-hillary-turned-tech-against-trump/

From there, I eventually got on the “230” bus, almost a year later. Here is a nice thread:

Archived here: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1034468267056930816.html

Clearly, BANNON’S idea of actually CHALLENGING Silcon Valley took hold. Red Diaper Sergey and Google pulled back from China to Communist California, and – well – now we can see that….

IT TAKES A VILLAGE OF PATRIOTS ON THE INTERNET TO SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERY OTHER VILLAGE OF PATRIOTS IN REAL LIFE.

Heck – I may just have a Sam Adams.

And ponder the beauty of my new favorite composite number, 230.

    1. I read some years ago of that same thought posed similarly from a direct consequence POV . . . just more plainly stated. Something like –

      You say God doesn’t exist . . . I say He does.

If you’re right, when I die, I’ll just cease to exist.

If I’m right, when you die, you may be in Hell for a long time.

      What’s your choice?

If people choose not to believe, it allows them to justify their dirty deeds because they believe, or WANT to believe, their are no consequences.

I am always a little skeptical when people insist injecting Israel into the mix as a Dark Force—not to say that their is not an Israeli DS—but it always seems to be a blanket statement.

    2. I just posted on the thread, which just jumped to two pages, that I find it really aggrevating that just as there is a downed drone, and we get right up to the brink of strikes, Trump calls them off, there is suddenly this stunning coincidence of a refinery fire in Pennsylvania, and a spike in oil and gas prives/futures, anything to put pressure on prices and turn global opinion against Iranian sanctions. These people are playing STUPID games and they are going to win STUPID prizes.

That said, I do believe that Our Team knows the game being played. Like he did with the Our Movement speech in October 2016—in Orlando, President Trump pointed out the perps for the entire world to see.

Whenever I am prone to doubt or wonder –
I check myself, and say, ‘That mighty One
Who made the solar system cannot blunder –
And for the best all things are being done.’
Who set the stars on their eternal courses
Has fashioned this strange earth by come sure plan.
Bow low, bow low to those majestic forces,
Nor dare to doubt their wisdom – puny man.

You cannot put one little star in motion,
You cannot shape one single forest leaf,
Nor fling a mountain up, nor sink an ocean,
    Presumptuous pigmy, large with unbelief.
You cannot bring one dawn of regal splendour
Nor bid the day to shadowy twilight fall,
Nor send the pale moon forth with radiance tender,
And dare you doubt the One who has done all?

‘So much is wrong, there is such pain – such sinning.’
Yet look again – behold how much is right!
And He who formed the world from its beginning
Knows how to guide it upward to the light.
Your task, O man, is not to carp and cavil
At God’s achievements, but with purpose strong
To cling to good, and turn away from evil –
That is the way to help the world along.

  3. From article OT:

Magnanimous Panda Departs Pyongyang After “reinforcing the traditional friendship between China and North Korea”…

“One of the reasons for the miscalculation is likely due to Beijing weighing their analysis and strategy based on typical Western reporting similar to THIS ARTICLE in the New York Times.

    ………………………………………….
NYT […] Before Mr. Xi landed in Pyongyang on Thursday, American officials said they expected him to try to secure Mr. Kim’s promise to take steps on nuclear weapons that might appeal to Mr. Trump, in hopes of gaining leverage for China in the trade dispute.

Mr. Xi signaled as much in a televised session with Mr. Kim on his first afternoon in Pyongyang, when he emphasized the need for the North and the United States to revive talks that broke down in Vietnam in February, when Mr. Kim and Mr. Trump last met.

“The international community hopes that North Korea and the United States can talk and for the talks to get results,” Mr. Xi said, sitting across a table from Mr. Kim. (read more)
    ………………………………………….

This is the kind of thing that makes me wonder if SD isn’t some kind of disinformation agent, because how could one of the most powerful nations in the world (china) be making ANY decisions based on ‘reporting’ in the NYT?

It’s so ludicrous, I’m not even sure how to respond.

    A) If anyone knows how completely bogus, fake, corrupt and orchestrated ‘Western media’ is, it is our ENEMIES.

    B) to suppose that one of the most power and wealthiest nations in the world (china) is going to make CRITICAL geo-political decisions affecting their OWN SURVIVAL — based on NYT reportage — is so criminally insane that I don’t know how he even managed to type it out.

China isn’t some goof on the street who doesn’t have enough cash to do some of the most basic due diligence before making a life-altering decision…

Why… I bet china even has enough money to at least hire someone like Jim Rockford for $200 a day plus expenses…

Not to mention their entire intelligence apparatus, which almost has to be one of the best in the world. They must have a complete psychological profile on DJT and his entire team, they must have experts who have studied each of their career histories, they must have advisors specifically chosen because they KNOW DJT and his people, from long years of experience and business dealings…

With the fate of the world (and certainly the future of china) hanging in the balance… china can’t possibly be run by a bunch of clowns making critical national decisions based on the incoherent scripts written by actors and actresses like Maggie Haberman and Paul Krugman (the only two clowns I can think of from NYT).

    It’s just inconceivable.

How could Xi ever get into a position of such immense power, if he is that stupid? Are we supposed to believe he’s another Chauncey Gardiner? Are ALL the leaders of the world’s nations Chauncey Gardiner?

    WTH?

    It’s not possible…

    1. Just take a look at how idiotic the NYT ‘report’ is, on its face:

NYT […] Before Mr. Xi landed in Pyongyang on Thursday, American officials said they expected him to try to secure Mr. Kim’s promise to take steps on nuclear weapons that might appeal to Mr. Trump, in hopes of gaining leverage for China in the trade dispute.”

Are those real ‘American Officials’, or imaginary ones like the NYT usually ‘quotes’?

Why would ‘expectations’ of imaginary ‘American Officials’ matter AT ALL to china? Is the team doesn’t even have a frame of reference for an option that is ‘less bad’ suddenly going to throw away their entire worldview, huddle up on the field, while Xi kneels down and draw up a completely new game plan in the dirt, based on anonymous ‘sources’ in the NYT?!?

      .

Kim. (read more)

There is no such thing as an ‘international community’… if it was a ‘community’, they wouldn’t be separate sovereign nations. Each nation — and more specifically, each nation’s corrupt leaders — has their own interests, which inevitably conflict with others.

Some might choose to align themselves toward peace, but not the overwhelming majority — because if they did, there’d be peace breaking out all over the place, instead of war and chaos everywhere, even importing such chaos and violence into every formerly ‘stable’ nation for just that purpose.

    3. Scott – you are absolutely right about China on this one. The reality is that CHINA controls the bogus propaganda viewpoint of the Times – not vice versa. China is the lawyer who never asks a question they don’t know the answer to, and the Times is the coached witness who states the DESIRED ANSWER ON CUE.

The problem? The reality of the China-Western-Media dynamic has no credibility with the CNN mind-control populace, and only people like me who don’t give a damn about being called “conspiracy theorists” will speak it freely.

THUS, I will posit that SD is NOT acting as a disinfo agent in this case. Rather, he likely SUSPECTS exactly what we’re thinking, and KNOWS that POTUS believes the same thing – that the Western media, knowingly or unknowingly, depending on circumstances – MOUTHS CHINESE WORDS.

The closest thing he CAN say, relative to that reality, and still maintain credibility with the people he seeks to influence, is what he’s saying – that “they don’t know Trump”.

The reality is that they DO know Trump, and are trying to SET EXPECTATIONS for MEDIA PRESSURE ON HIM TO FOLLOW, because they know he is very likely to deviate.

NOW – THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

What did China do to Nixon? Exactly what they tried with Trump. Catch him in a VISE – a PINCER.

China (YOU MUST TRADE WITH US), the Soviets (VIETNAM + AMERICAN CULTURAL REVOLUTION) and the KGB-CIA (WATERGATE) forced Nixon into a position of weakness, from which he tried to save himself by doing what China wanted. The media did not care – they brought him down as planned.

      ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!

This IRAN STUFF is not happening in a vacuum. A GAME is afoot, and the GAME IS THIS:

China (YOU MUST TRADE WITH US) connects to all the old players in a new configuration, with the addition of North Korea and Iran as proxies. The communists MUST get Trump into a “new Vietnam” which creates multiple global Soviet pressures on the United States and TRUMP in particular, and (very important) provides an excuse for VIOLENT DEMONSTRATIONS and cultural revolution in America.

Trump has smartly BALKED at every bad pitch (Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, North Korea) they have thrown at him. IRAN was supposed to be his mistake this time, and he calmly disarmed it right when his enemies exposed themselves.

Trust that IRAN and NORTH KOREA are cued to ACT OUT in some way or another, in a SCRIPT developed by CHINA and OUR TREASONOUS DEMOCRATS.

CHINA has – IMO – SECURED THE COOPERATION OF THE NORKS in some devilish plot against Trump. Xi has, IMO, promised Kim some way to be free of Trump.

They are ALL counting on containment of Trump.

Now – look at the SMOOTHNESS of Trump boomeranging them on Iran. Our MILITARY is clearly ahead of this game. It was great.

The Obama Democrats are engaged in TREASON for CHINA and we have them skunked – SO FAR – on IRAN.

HOWEVER, if we’re not absolutely certain what the plot using the Norks is, then we need to be very careful.

TREASON IS STILL AFOOT. TREASON USING BOTH IRAN AND NORTH KOREA.

Exactly. I don’t claim to know who is pulling which specific strings on any given day, but the Democrat-Marxist Party (and the Uni-Party RINOs to a lesser but significant degree) are clearly and obviously acting in direct opposition to:

        A) their constituents
        B) their oath of office
        C) the law
        D) national security

We can debate WHY they are doing this (and much more) — blackmail, orders from C_A / DNC, bribery, willful treason with Narco-Marxists (Mexico), crime syndicate oligarchy Marxists (Russia), Statist Mao Marxists (China), islamo-Marxists (Pakistan, Muzzie Brotherhood), etc. — but there is no longer any credible argument that Democrat-Marxist Party and their accomplices in MSM media and ‘big tech’ are NOT doing these things, acting in open opposition to the interests of America, our sovereignty and our Constitution.

        .

        ________________

Yes, it appears that they keep provoking DJT to react militarily (which would help the provocateurs), but instead he keeps reacting with very targeted financial strikes (tariffs, black lists, trade deals without CoC influence, etc.), which not only hurts the provocateurs, but taken in combination, synergistically erodes their capacity to keep provoking.

They keep trying to get him to light a fuse ‘over here’, and he keeps throwing water on their entire camp ‘over there’ instead.

Or to use a civil analogy, they keep smacking him in the face trying to provoke a physical confrontation, and he keeps suing them in court instead, winning judgments against them. 😁

We might keep seeing the same black cat walk across the hall, they might not even be trying to fix that particular glitch in the matrix anymore, but the rest of the ‘construct’ is more or less ‘intact’. It couldn’t possibly be so, as a global construct, which a massive amount of coordination and leadership.

Who does SD seek to influence?

His readers are willing to accept the truth, even following his unraveling of the ‘splitter-strategy’ to the bottom of the rabbit hole and back again. So his readership is plenty capable of understanding and digesting complex organizational manipulation by various power structures.

Would he not gain immensely more credibility with his readers if he continued to speak the truth plainly to them, regardless of what detractors might label ‘conspiracy theories’? Who cares what one’s detractors say anyway, if they’re wrong?

Or worse, if they’re not just wrong, but intentionally so?

            1. Definitely agreed with your first sentence.

I don’t think SD realizes exactly how DEEPLY red-pilled Trump is, and I think THAT is the problem. Unless one acquires personal knowledge in the woo-woo region, anything that reaches up into that region seems too unbelievable to personally trust, back, or espouse at a professional level. SD may be trying to maintain credibility with people who he THINKS are a lot more “standard top secret / non-SAP” than they really are.

Or consider that I’m wrong, and SD actually does know the score. However, he may guard some of his thoughts, thinking he might lose respect, OR (and I put some weight on this) he may realize that he can’t be too woo-woo and still slip his material past certain NSC gatekeepers for Trump, so he tones it down from what he knows is true.

OMG – that would explain why they had to drive us out. Some kind of credibility preservation operation.

Remember when General Kelly was approving Trump’s reading material, supposedly?

              1. That does make some sense to me, too.

I believe you are probably more correct in thinking that SD doesn’t understand how red-pilled the President really is. Remember, he went to all the parties, knew Epstein and the Clintons on a social basis, and worked around ALL the scum in New York. All the while, he’s sober as a judge, they all fall for his buffoon act, and he not only personally gathers information, he has investigators doing it, too. Now, he has military intel, the NSA, and FISA warrants.

                TRUMP KNOWS EVERYTHING.

If SD does indeed “know the score,” he is amazing at covering it up. Some of the negative stuff he writes, the gloom and doom stuff, seems very real to me.

I do think, however, that our banishment was to preserve credibility with some people. I just don’t know if those were people around the President, or people who send money to SD’s paypal account.

  4. And this is curious… early comments from Jerold Nadler to Hope Hicks before her ‘testimony’ commenced:

    ………………………………..
Nadler: “Ms. Hicks, you should also understand that although this interview is not under oath you are required by law to answer questions from Congress truthfully. I assume you understand that?

    Ms. Hicks: Yes, sir.

Chairman Nadler: This applies also to questions posed by congressional staff as well, and I assume you understand that as well?

    Ms. Hicks: Yes, sir.

Chairman Nadler: Witnesses who knowingly provide false testimony could be subject to criminal prosecution for perjury or for making false statements. Do you understand that?

    Ms. Hicks. Yes, sir.”
    …………………………………..

So if you are very specifically NOT under oath — the express purpose of testifying under oath being to compel truthfulness by making it illegal to lie — then how can you be prosecuted for lying if you are expressly NOT under oath?

It is the ‘under oath’ part that constitutes ‘breaking the law’ if you ‘violate’ the ‘oath’… and if you are not ‘under oath’, then what ‘law’ has been broken which could lead to prosecution?

Nevermind the irony of that lying sack of &^%$ Nadler threatening anyone else with prosecution for lying…

    1. When a person is prosecuted, there are separate federal regulations for perjury specifically and lying to the feds generally. Under the United States Code, title 18, section 1001, a person who knowingly or willingly makes a material statement that is false, or fraudulent, to the feds, is guilty of a crime. What comes as a surprise to many is that unlike section 1621, section 1001 does not require that a person be under oath.

        Thank you for the link.

Law isn’t supposed to be a ‘surprise’… in our system, the whole purpose of Law, ultimately, is to protect the rights of the individual — not to create an ambush.

Or for a different kind of example, if everyone understands that ‘green’ means ‘go’, and ‘red’ means ‘stop’, the government can’t change the law in the dead of night and then give tickets to everyone at 8am the next morning for ‘breaking’ the ‘law’.

The entire system of ‘codes and statutes’ is either wholly corrupt (which I would argue it is), or it applies only to those who have CONSENTED to it, i.e., federal and/or state employees, who have consented to all these ‘in-house’ rules as part of their employment contract.

The rest of us are not employed by the government, and therefore are not subject to their ‘inside baseball’ rules and codes of conduct.

        Here’s the analogy.

Suppose you have a friend who is on the Washington Redskins pro football team.

You both have the exact same Constitutional rights, and you can both stay out as late as you please.

But the football team has rules (codes, statutes) which all the players must follow, including a curfew on Saturday nights before game day. Violation of that ‘code’ triggers a $20k fine and suspension for that particular game. Your friend agreed (consented) to that penalty when he signed his contract.

One Saturday you and your friend go out Saturday evening together and stay out way past curfew.

The next morning, a team manager shows up at your friend’s house, hands him a bill for $20,000 and tells him not to bother showing up for the game, he’s suspended.

Your friend has to pay the fine, or it will just be deducted from his salary anyway, and he can’t play in Sunday’s game, regardless. Those are the rules, according to the ‘codes’ he agreed to.

But if the team manager shows up at your door with a bill for $20,000 you can laugh in his face and tell him to pound sand. You don’t have a contract with the football team, and you didn’t consent to their ‘rules’ or ‘codes’ or ‘statutes’.

        .

One might argue that Hope Hicks DID consent, via her employment in the federal government (in the WH). But she is no longer a federal employee, she is now a private citizen, and whatever contract she had with the federal government wherein she consented to a litany of codes and statutes and rules, is over.

So that leaves us where we started.

If I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, in a court of law or under some kind of ‘official’ inquiry, and I break that oath, then that is a obviously a violation of law.

But if I don’t take any such oath, and I say something untrue, then at the very worst, I’m just doing what nearly every politician does a thousand times a day… every day…

        Practically from top to bottom:

        (2) to preserve the vibrant and competitive free market that presently exists for the Internet and other interactive computer services, unfettered by Federal or State regulation;”

They could fail any bigger there; you can’t even spell ‘Google’ at this point without the letters M O N O P O L Y.

It is NOT a ‘free market’ – total fail

        .

“(3) to encourage the development of technologies which maximize user control over what information is received by individuals, families, and schools who use the Internet and other interactive computer services;”

Total fail; users have almost ZERO control over the abuse of their privacy and private information.

        .

“(4) to remove disincentives for the development and utilization of blocking and filtering technologies that empower parents to restrict their children’s access to objectionable or inappropriate online material; and”

Total fail; your kids can see mock assassinations of the president and all kinds of porn on the ‘big tech’ platforms all day long; but make a comment about the death cult of islam or any other subject ‘big purple Kool-Aid tech’ doesn’t like, and you are suddenly ‘cut off’

        .

“(5) to ensure vigorous enforcement of Federal criminal laws to deter and punish trafficking in obscenity, stalking, and harassment by means of computer.”

Total fail; ‘big tech’ has created an entire enterprise to harass conservatives ‘by means of computer’, and any obscenity is fine, so long as it targets the ‘right’ people or views.

  7. Long but very good article about hypersonics. (We’re currently behind China and Russia on development. And there is no defense against this type of weapon, at present.)

“Scary Fast: The Global Hypersonic Arms Race That Will Change Warfare Forever”

“Griffin was referring to a revolutionary new type of weapon, one that would have the unprecedented ability to maneuver and then to strike almost any target in the world within a matter of minutes. Capable of traveling at more than 15 times the speed of sound, hypersonic missiles arrive at their targets in a blinding, destructive flash, before any sonic booms or other meaningful warning. So far, there are no surefire defenses. Fast, effective, precise and unstoppable — these are rare but highly desired characteristics on the modern battlefield. And the missiles are being developed not only by the United States but also by China, Russia and other countries.” …

“Hypersonics pose a different threat from ballistic missiles, according to those who have studied and worked on them, because they could be maneuvered in ways that confound existing methods of defense and detection. Not to mention, unlike most ballistic missiles, they would arrive in under 15 minutes — less time than anyone in Hawaii or elsewhere would need to meaningfully react.” …

“And it’s not just Russia, China and the United States that are interested in fast-flying military power drills. France and India have active hypersonics development programs, and each is working in partnership with Russia, according to a 2017 report by the Rand Corp., a nonpartisan research organization heavily funded by the Pentagon. Australia, Japan and the European Union have either civilian or military hypersonics research underway, the report said, partly because they are still tantalized by the prospect of making super-speedy airplanes large enough to carry passengers across the globe in mere hours. But Japan’s immediate effort is aimed at making a weapon that will be ready for testing by 2025.”

      1. Using OSINT sources it’s a reasonable deduction that U.S. is behind on hypersonics, thanks to a decade of defense sequestration and military rebuilding.

However the U.S. has a long history of skunkworks military projects that were kept highly classified until long after the technology had reached obsolescence.

Also given the public Russian and Chinese propaganda about their hypersonic “capabilities” I suspect that they are not as advanced as they claim.

It makes really good headlines talking about new technologies that cannot be defended against by current technologies, but the reality is that militaries around the world are always chasing these unicorns.

I’m pretty sure one of our constellation of massive U.S. Space Force orbital ion cannons could take these hypersonics out in short order.

In a little-noticed case, the Supreme Court on Friday held 7–2 that undocumented immigrants charged with possessing firearms must know their unlawful status to be convicted of a crime.” …

“Rehaif v. United States has surprisingly broad implications because it addresses two important, atypically partisan fault lines. First, what level of intent should be required to convict people for crimes? When Republicans in the last Congress proposed sweeping mens rea reform to include a default intent element for federal crimes, Democrats balked, fearing a conga line of white-collar acquittals. Second, how broadly should a right deemed both fundamental and individual by the Supreme Court in Heller be denied to whole swaths of Americans by legislative fiat? Thomas, who once fretted that the Second Amendment was being treated as a second-rate right, here finds himself in favor of sharply restricting it.”

  9. Okay my dear conspiracy theorists.
    Background.
Jawad Zarif is the foreign minister of Iran. It was Zarif’s son who was the best man at John Kerry’s daughter’s wedding. John Kerry’s daughter married an Iranian (born and raised in the USA) while they were both resident physicians at Mass General. Zarif was at the wedding in 2009. Zarif is also the man who had dinner with Dianne Feinstein a few weeks ago. We know, Obama sent the frozen assets (150 BILLION), which should not have legally been released. We know Loretta Lynch pleaded the 5th, testimony to Congress, when asked about the 150 BILLION or the 1.5 billion in cash. We know ValJar is Iranian. We know Obama was so desperate for an Iranian deal he killed Operation Cassandra in Lebanon and Africa (The excellent Politico article about selling used cars, car dealers in the USA, money flowing to Hezbollah, DEA and CIA angry about stopping the operation). https://www.politico.com/interactives/2017/obama-hezbollah-drug-trafficking-investigation/

President Trump is elected, rips up the Iran Deal and begins debilitating sanctions on Iran. The Rial was at 17K to the US Dollar in Sept of ’17 and went to 150K to the US Dollar by last summer. Remember all the reports from Heshmat and Thomas Wictor?

    Present Week:
    1. Iran shoots down our magnificent and expensive drone in international waters = act of war.
    2. USA response is expected, assumed.
    3. Security staff goes over options and leadership of Congress is called in to be briefed at the WH.
    4. Pelosi and Schumer seen happy/skipping/giddy out of the meeting with President. Excuse given is Schumer’s mother was released from emergency room. No. If elder mom is released from emergency room, natural reaction would be “relief” not giddiness.
    5. From one source, we have info Schumer and Pelosi met with Brennan and key members of caucus.
    6. Strike called off at about 7:00pm, ten minutes from target. Three targets were identified within Iran.
    7. After banging the war drums all day long for a “measured response”, and the media accusing the president of being a warmonger……….. NYTimes released info about President Trump aborting the operation in Iran……… Ben Rhodes goes into meltdown, “Why did he not bomb…..” and “Trump is weak……..” along with all other media pundits.
    8. Overnight, largest refinery on the east coast has a cataclysmic fire. Refinery is located in Philly, between NYC and DC. Will gas prices on the east coast rise at the beginning of summer driving season? Explosion was heard in South Jersey. Price for oil and LNG spike 5% on news.
    9. Conservatives dumbfounded, why no strike? We wait to hear from the President.
    10. And then….. the President sent a message to the Mullahs, the only reason they were not bombed was because of President Trump = To the Mullahs, the ONLY WAY OUT of their problems is through President Trump.

Does it seem a little convenient……… coincidental……. to anyone here, an assumed strike on Iran + a refinery explosion in Philly the SAME NIGHT? Start a war with Iran, deflect from failing Democrats, the Atty General investigations, th REAL problem of the southern border? We’ve learned to accept nothing at face value. Am I wrong to think about ulterior motives of those who wish to do harm to the USA or our President? What about General Jack Keane, on Fox this morning, who told the audience he heard from someone in the WH, that Trump had information the strike was from a rogue general…. not approved? The President alluded to this point in his afternoon presser with Justin Trudeau. What if it’s true? What would be the reason for a rogue general to provoke the USA into war? Interesting questions.

Bottom line: A decade ago, the prospect of war between Iran and the USA +++++ a refinery explosion directly between the two major media outlets, would cause a crash in the stock market and oil price to rise precipitously high.
But that didn’t happen, did it?
    Why not?
Because EVERYTHING has changed and Trump is the President.
Because the oil market is far more stable with the USA as #1 producer.
The market knew by opening bell, President Trump is not a warmonger.
The market is a cruel mistress and the market never lies.
Recall President Trump’s recent interview where Hannity was worried about hotspots all over the world, including the possibility of Iran becoming a regional hedgemon. Trump replied, paraphrasing, “Don’t worry, everything is under control. All going according to plan.”

I think the President smelled a setup.

These are the same people who screamed that Trump’s Syria strike presaged a full scale US invasion.

**Absolutely** Democrats are trying to bait Trump into starting a US-led war with Iran.

But here’s the thing these idiots can’t grasp:

Under Trump, the US will never LEAD anything in the Middle East ever again.

      We proved that in Syria.

These people are trapped in 2003. The world has changed and they can’t see it.

But the MSM is locked in this “The-US-Has-To-Lead-Or-Nothing-Gets-Done” mentality.

When it’s time to go into Iran after the Mullah’s fall, if a coalition of military forces are needed, the US will only be there in a SUPPORT role. Just like they were in Syria.

The locals will do all the heavy lifting.

People whine that it takes longer this way, they’re used to watching the US go in, invade, blow all the shit up, occupy, set up a transition gov’t, etc. etc.

      Well boo hoo hoo.

Which is better: have the US lead the way, invade, occupy, f up the transition, then get stuck there for years

      OR

Go the slow sure way with the locals in charge, let the sanctions work, then let the LOCALS handle the transition, which they’d do better anyway??

Trump game planned the difference long ago, it’s clear which route he’s chosen.

      Simple.

The clowns were briefed that they were going to get what they wanted…..their proxies in Iran had successfully baited POTUS into striking Iran militarily…and they were giddy over that.

Later, POTUS pulled the rug out from under them when he cancelled the strike.

The BIG question is….did he actually intend to strike Iran and changed his mind OR did he never intend to strike Iran and kill 150+ people over losing a MACHINE and instead was simply playing the clowns for who they truly are?

I’ll bet anyone $100 to their $1 it was the latter.

The Silicon Valley Masters of the Universe at Facebook has been removed from the S&P list of ethical companies following a number of scandals surrounding the company.

The Telegraph reports that Facebook has been removed from Standard & Poor’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Index after the company received a score of 22 for social responsibility and only 6 for governance, out of a possible 100, scoring extremely poorly.

  13. Shocker: C-Span Shut Out Of Live Coverage Of S.C. Democrat Convention

South Carolina Democrats have decided to give MSNBC, the most partisan liberal-leaning cable network, exclusive rights to live coverage. All the other networks, including C-Span, CNN, and Fox News Channel, are required to wait three hours after the convention ends to show their live footage.

In an interview, a spokesman for the South Carolina Democratic Party, Tim Sullivan, disputed the notion that networks had been “barred” from covering the convention, though he conceded that MSNBC had indeed been granted the exclusive live rights.

Mr. Sullivan said the decision was part of a broader agreement with MSNBC that, he argued, would enhance the proceedings. Two MSNBC hosts, Joy-Ann Reid and the Rev. Al Sharpton, are set to interview each of the Democratic presidential candidates from a set constructed inside the convention hall.

C-Span, normally a stoic, quiet presence in political coverage is making their objections known. In an attempt to put a halt to a potentially slippery slope, C-Span is going public with its complaint. CNN and Fox News Channel lodged complaints, too.

“This has never happened before, ever,” said Steve Scully, the C-Span political editor, who has overseen the channel’s campaign coverage since the early 1990s.

    1. They’re communists. It’s just that simple.

AND this explains an enormous amount about MSNBC.

      – Rachel Maddow, Rhodes scholar, “trans” narrative actor
      – David Axelrod infiltration as special political puppetmaster
      – Ax leaving a DNC operative in charge of political reporting
      – Why MSNBC was “kind to Trump” at the key junctures where the DNC hoped to push the “sideshow candidates” including Trump ahead of Jeb and other “serious” candidates

MSNBC is “red” as in the old “red”.

      1. Yep.

You know that “MSNBC” stands for Moonbats Spewing Nothing But Communism, right?

speaking of MSNBC…funny how Rachel Madcow spends so much time ranting about privileged white men even as she tries so hard to look like one, isn’t it?

        1. Busting the Iran fake news has been fun today. Sadly I think it distracted from the Panda dance in Pyongyang – again, timing is suspect, geopolitical noise allowing the Dragon to operate under the radar.

          1. Yes and no.

The REAL action will be at the G-20 Summit when POTUS and Xi meet. What happened in Pyongyang was not only a sideshow but also entirely predictable.

      1. It really is Linda…a few years ago something like that would be shocking almost like a modern day Dr. Mengle but with all we’ve learned about the abortion industry..it’s not very shocking at all. Sad and infuriating
