News Roundup! Happy Birthday PDJT, Sarah Sanders, Second Chance, Kim, Polling Data, Snowflakes Melt, WALL, #WalkAway, Gibson Bakery v. Oberlin College, Navarro, Reliance on OPEC

Happy Birthday to an incredible man and incredible President!

I would also like to wish a Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army!

This great day is also Flag Day!

During a White House event yesterday, our President took a moment to thank departing White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Her comments about our President were absolutely amazing.

From the transcript linked above:

President: She’s a special person, a very, very fine woman. She has been so great. She has such heart. She’s strong but with great, great heart. And I want to thank you for an outstanding job.

Sarah: This has been the honor of a lifetime, the opportunity of a lifetime. I couldn’t be prouder to have had the opportunity to serve my country and particularly to work for this President. He has accomplished so much in these two and a half years, and it’s truly been something I will treasure forever. It’s one of the greatest jobs I could ever have. I’ve loved every minute. Even the hard minutes, I have loved it.

I love the President.

From the transcript linked above:

President: I want to welcome everyone to the White House. We’re here today to announce a vital new action that we’re taking to help former inmates find a job, live a crime-free life, and succeed beyond their wildest dreams.

America wins when citizens with a criminal record can contribute to their communities as law-abiding members of our society. When former inmates come home, the single-most important action we can take is to help them find a really, really good job, where they love the job, they want to go there, and they’re making a lot money.

Second chance hiring is about safer communities, a stronger workforce, and a thriving economy. We believe in the dignity of work and the pride of a paycheck.

Kim Kardashian West has been a champion for Prison Reform. In this day and age where celebrities ridicule our President, she is willing to stand with him in this endeavor.

Actions speak louder than words! Black Americans are seeing our President’s agenda working for them and all Americans. The previous POS was just words. The Poll numbers below show that Americans of all colors are noticing.

This tweet tells you everything you need to know about the Quinnipiac Poll.

This put such a Big Smile on my face!

From the article linked above:

Members of the American Federation of Government Employees turned their backs on Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on Thursday, apparently over plans to relocate them from Washington to the Kansas City area.

Perdue announced Thursday that two of the Department of Agriculture’s research agencies, the Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, will be relocated to be closer to major farming regions, according to Politico.

Employees at both agencies voted to unionize after the relocation was announced, according to Politico. They are expected to receive relocation letters Thursday and will be given 30 days to make a decision, according to the American Federation of Government Employees.

Project number 1 (We Build The Wall) is completed!

Brandon Straka who started the #WalkAway Movement is coming out with an educational video series starting on June 30th.

The decision from this lawsuit must be scaring all of them to death!

Peter Navarro is absolutely right!

Energy Dominance is well on its way!

From the article linked above:

U.S. crude oil imports from the Saudi Arabian-led OPEC fell to a 30-year low, according to the latest federal figures.

OPEC imports fell to 1.5 million barrels per day in March, which is the lowest level since March 1986, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Thursday. EIA said OPEC imports fell “as domestic crude oil production has increased.”

GA/FL shared late last night. The WALL is being built and there is nothing they can do to stop it!

From the article linked above:

About two miles of border wall are being built per week right now, according to Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan.

“[It’s] coming along aggressively,” he told President Donald Trump during a meeting at the White House on June 12. “By the end of next year, over 400 miles [will be built].”

New and replacement wall is currently being constructed near San Diego, as well as San Luis, Arizona, and El Paso and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Ground excavation is underway in Otay Mesa in the San Diego Sector, CBP said on June 11. The 14 miles of new wall will act as a secondary barrier. It will be 30 feet high and “will be outfitted with smart detection technology that keeps Border Patrol agents safe while deterring illicit cross-border activity,” CBP wrote on Twitter.

What an incredible day for an incredible country!

This appointment will be the end of ill-coordination, misinformation, holes in the system and the beginning of new water tight immigration policies, constant strict enforcement of laws that will close our border to drugs, criminals and human trafficking!!!!!!

    1. Beautiful pic, flep.

I wonder if someone with a military background could post the rules, etc., for taking care of the flag. We had them too, in Boy Scouts years ago, when it was the real deal (Eagle Scout here), but I expect the military has even more extensive infos about how to take care of the flag.

For indeed, the flag is not just a piece of cloth, with pretty designs sewn into it. Nor is it just a symbol of a city, county, state, territory, or country.

No, it is a standard for which brave people have fought and died to defend. It is a symbol of unity and belief in a country, a way of life, an ideal which, often, is unique among peoples.

Indeed, it is well worth reflecting this day upon what our flag is, what it symbolizes, whom it symbolizes and serves, and why we should hold it in obeisance and honor.

For the blood of MANY Patriots have sanctified it, past, present, and future.

Were we to understand more about the flag, citizenship, and what it means, perhaps we would be better equipped to expalin why citizenship, and LEGAL residence in these United States of America is both an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility to past, present, and future generations.

          1. Yep. I can’t get it either, even with Brave’s TOR. Geoblocking at its finest, I suppose.

Might be worth getting a VPN that is a USA IP address. I’m starting to think of doing that, as it’s irritating all of the geoblocking going on.

Having said that, that (STUPID)(as usual) new law from the EU about cookies/privacy/etc. is the reason for a lot of this. Rather than follow the EU regs on data privacy and marketing of personal information, a lot of US companies/websites/etc. choose to simply exclude non-US users. Get a US prefix, via VPN, and you should be OK.

The cynic in me says that the EU did this to learn how to censor/cut off the internet. They can just let everyone else do the development work, and copy the best of it… Heise had a “Heiseee fit” over it….

They could have just cut to the chase and lef Telefonica do the networking stuff for Europe. They’ve already driven O2, E-Plus, AldiTalk, and others into the ground; why not finish it ALL off… ( / snark)…

          1. I was able to install Dissenter—still no luck. This is IP address stuff—maybe not nefarious in nature? Could it be the GOP protecting themselves from accusations of foreign donations??? We know the DNC does not care where it gets its money.

            1. Yeah, I’m here, a bit south from you, in the Wilden Süden… though I used to live up near Darmstadt.

I tried with Brave, and Brave’s version of TOR – no luck (odd, because usually TOR works). I think the GOP took the (sl)easy way out and blocked non-US ip’s. Maybe someone in OZ or the UK could have a go at it…

Hmmm. If they block non-US IP’s, then they also block Muh-Russians, and Muh-Chinese… what’s not to like? (OK, they’re blocking us…. Bah! 🙂 )…

  3. There are a lot of depressed Economists this morning. They were hoping to continue to spew their BS about the Economy. The Economic Train decided to rain on their parade. The Economy is doing extremely well because of MAGAnomics. Keep in mind that 70% of the quarterly and annual real GDP rate comes from consumer spending.

    From the article linked above:

The U.S. Census Bureau reported advance monthly retail sales were $519.0 billion, a gain of 0.5% (±0.5%) from April and 3.2% (±0.7%) above May 2018.

Total sales for the quarter from March 2019 through May 2019 were up 3.6% (±0.5%) from the same period a year ago.

Retail sales from March 2019 to April 2019 were revised from down 0.2% (±0.5%) to up 0.3% (±0.1%).

Retail trade sales were up 0.5% (±0.5%) from April 2019, and 3.1% (±0.7%) above last year.

Nonstore retailers were up 11.4% (±1.4%) from May 2018, and 1.4% from last month. Sporting goods, hobby, musical instrument, and book stores were down 4.2% (±2.5%) from last year.

      1. Could this day get any better! China is feeling pain that they haven’t felt in decades.

        From the article linked above:

Sentiment on Wall Street was also dampened by disappointing industrial data from China. Industrial production in China rose 5% last month on a year-over-year basis, the slowest pace of growth in 17 years. Chinese shares fell overnight following the data release. The Shanghai Composite lost 1% while the Shenzhen A Shares index slid 1.8%.

        1. Why in Hades are they complaining about a FIVE PERCENT GROWTH???? We are ecstatic if our growth is THREE PERCENT!

Now a NEGATIVE 5%, that I could understand as a reason to cry.

            1. China’s behavior may very well back themselves into a recession. All they need to do is continue acting in bad faith regarding trade agreement. Keep threatening capitalists operating in China. Continue paying tariffs…that may very well increase in scope and magnitude.

              – China sells less.
              – Chinese work less, increased lay offs…
              – International companies increasingly leave China and develop alternative Countries to work out of.

        2. Flep, I wish people would just look at those numbers, step back, let it sink in, and reflect upon it. What you’ve shown here (great article again, btw.) is the huge size of this problem.

For 17+ years, China’s industrial production has risen five percent, year over year, month over month. I assume this means a yearly rate, otherwise it would be 60 percent per year. Still, five percent is the LOWEST it has been.

          At WHOSE COST???

Pity the poor investors (CoCommies, etc.)??? No, not from me…

All of the factory closures, all of the Americans out of work, some forever out of work, entire branches of industry (e.g. apparel) GONE. Apparently to Ø’s sadistfaction…

Yet no one bats an eye, no one cares, just so long as the price is right. Pity the sheeple haven’t realized the REAL PRICE is the American way, the American Economy, the American way of life, and, in short, the future of the people who would rather not be bothered thinking about those jobs that Øblowhole said were never coming back.

I watched it in the 1980s, starting off with the J.C. Penny mail order catalogs. All manner of things, furniture, clothing, appliances, tools, you-name-it, all made in Red China. Low prices, even lower quality. The only thing “higher” is the danger from toxic materials and shoddy workmanship. Ever since someone laundered the “red” out of Red China, they’ve seemed to be “friendlier, less harmful”. More Panda, methinks.

That hasn’t stopped them from killing Christians, unborn babies, political protestors, people that strike the dictator as a problem, etc., etc. The Panda might appear to be cute and furry, but if you look closer, the Red Chinese Panda has blood on its mouth…

It’s high them that they’re put back in place. And it’s a Demonic travesty that their economic discomfiture is met with disappointment – hopefully only by their traitorous “friends” the Coc, RINOs, DEMONcRATs, and other slimes.

The rest of us can stand up and cheer. For the returning jobs, industries, and good old American manufacturing and know-how. Yet another benefit: all of that “IP” (intellectual property) will not be stolen anymore. It’ll take a while, but that’s good news, too.

          Here’s to another 25% in tariffs…

            👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

I remember reading a WTO report (2001???) where they were coldly talking about the ‘needed’ destruction of over a MILLION US Jobs. (wish I had saved a copy)

You can then go to the September 2012 IMF report: Convergence, Interdependence, and Divergence – Finance & Development

Where they talk of the MAJOR increase in wealth of the 1% in the USA and decrease in wealth for the rest of us.

That right there tells you WHY our government is betraying us to Red China.

            1. Thanks! I think that might have been one of the white papers that Carly inflicted upon us at HP when she pushed Lew Platt out the door… (with the help of Dick Hackborn).

              Perception is reality (my hiney).

I think it’s REALLY important that we refer to (and keep referring to) China as RED CHINA!

I don’t know where that got lost: I suspect the Klintoons. But China is no less RED than it was 50 years ago. And no less concerned with benefitting the rest of the world than it was 5000 years ago.

And all the snowflakes yelled “Racissssssssssssssssssssssssss”.

And Cuppa yelled “get a life, and a brain, and GROW A PAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ”

Some people never learn, even if it’s documented in various history books, journals, etc. cf. Moslem invasions… One would think that a virulent problem that took 600 years to solve would be worthy of avoiding… silly me…

  4. We have abundant energy resources, and should be using them. As I said a few days ago in regards to using American coal, not to use our own resources to supply our energy needs would be monumentally stupid.

What many seem to have forgotten is that we don’t really need to import oil, and thus we don’t really need OPEC. Western Europe can’t say this, Japan can’t say this and China can’t say this.

By taking steps to increase our energy production, PDJT is reminding the world of this particular salient fact.

      1. Rasmussen used to be a pretty reliable poll until it was bought out and then Scott Rasmussen got kicked off the board.

2013 “Scott Rasmussen, the founder of conservative-leaning polling outlet Rasmussen Reports, left the firm last month over a dispute with the board of directors about the direction of the company.”

That was a real shame since they were the only reasonable polling outfit.

  7. The Economic Train is having a lot of fun today!

    From the article linked above:

Business inventories were estimated at $2,029.8 billion, up 0.5% (±0.1%) from March and 5.3% (±0.5%) from April 2018. The figure from the Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories, and Orders Survey met the consensus forecast.

The build in business inventories will be a big boost to second-quarter (Q2) 2019 gross domestic product (GDP). All figures are adjusted for seasonal variations but not for price changes.

    From the article linked above:

The Federal Reserve reported industrial production gained 0.4% after falling 0.4% in May, doubling the consensus forecast. At 109.6% of its 2012 average, total industrial production was 2.0% higher than a year earlier.

    1. As a small business owner, after the crappy laws/regs were passed under Obummer, I lost heart.

I had major plans but to meet the new regs as INTERPRETED by a SJW imspector, I would have to make a 1/2 million in improvements at a minimum for a $10 to 20 thousand a year gross return. So I just sold off all the stuff I had already purchased, shit canned my plans and swallowed the 25% loss in my gross instead of trying to comply. The SJW imspector was VERY HAPPY when I told her she had just shut down that part of my business. 😡 Too bad these idiots do not realise the taxs on OUR CAPITALISM pays THEIR SALARIES.🙄

Many others did the same. Especially given Obummercare that killed any plans for growth.
