Dear MAGA: 20190328 Open Topic

This THROUGH THE THICK OF THINGS AND THANKFUL THURSDAY open thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA world.

You can say what you want, comment on what other people said, and so on.

Free Speech is practiced here. ENJOY IT. Use it or lose it.

Keep it civil. They tried to FORCE fake Orwellian civility on us. In response, we CHOOSE true civility to defend our precious FREEDOM from THEM.

Our rules began with the civility of the Old Treehouse, later to become the Wolverinian Empire, and one might say that we have RESTORED THE OLD REPUBLIC – the early high-interaction model of the Treehouse – except of course that Q discussion is not only allowed but encouraged, and speech is considerably freer in other ways. Please feel free to argue and disagree with the board owner, as nicely as possible.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here in the January 1st open thread. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven.

Remember – your greatest gift to President Trump is FIVE WORDS:

I AM PRAYING FOR YOU.

Our movement

Is about replacing

A failed

And CORRUPT

Political establishment

With a new government controlled

By you, the American People.

Candidate Donald J. Trump

Also consider Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

I’m not sure if this is *strictly* analogous, but to me, the FLAMING END of the “Muh Russia” insanity is much like the famed Battle of Midway.

This was the TIDE-TURNER. The AMERICAN forces have now put the “treason cabal” on defense.

It was rough for a while. If you remember what our side went through in 2017, before the arrival of QAnon – AFTER the attack on Las Vegas – then you understand.

And yet even that first year with Q helping us – from October 2017 to November of 2018 – was not easy. Not at all.

Then, in November of 2018, we were forced to “leave port” from Treeperville. As fate would have it, a profoundly positive event. I believe that we have inflicted MORE damage on the enemy, as part of the Q formation, than we could have possibly accomplished in our old one. In any event, the combined forces of MAGA have finally won what should be the decisive battle of the war.

The FORCED RULING of the MUELLER REPORT – the INESCAPABLE CONCLUSION of President Trump’s entire administration’s INNOCENCE – delivered late, after the STEALING OF THE HOUSE by the COMMUNIST & CRIMINAL DEMOCRATS…..

THAT was our Midway.

Now it’s time to finish the job. Not easy, not fast, not certain. But POSSIBLE and – GOD WILLING – soon.

So SAY YOUR PRAYERS….

Both in THANKS for the past and in HOPE for the future….

And let’s start moving those crates of ammunition.

W

no matter the number – not many are necessary all he time. the army is large and there are different levels of participation. and then there are those willing to go against so many seemingly impossible odds and with courage and belief and a humble spirit fight the fignt if the power is on your side. this is a global and otherworldly batle.

a little tale about the select few vigilant enough to keep their eyes open and senses alert and how they were all that was needed out of a large force:

Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.

2 And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.

4 And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.

5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.

6 And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.

7 And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.

8 So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.

9 And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.

10 But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host:

11 And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.

12 And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.

13 And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along.

14 And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.

15 And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the Lord hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.

16 And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man’s hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.

17 And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.

18 When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.

19 So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.

20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon.

21 And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.

22 And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man’s sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host: and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zererath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.

23 And the men of Israel gathered themselves together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, and pursued after the Midianites.

24 And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.

25 And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.

In a letter sent to Smollett’s attorneys, the Chicago Corporation Counsel requested that Smollett pay up within seven days, noting that the “Empire” actor could face a new charge for making a false statement if he doesn’t pay in a “timely” manner.

  13. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is the latest in a line of Democrats to admit, sadly, that there’s no longer any point in pursuing impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

Waters, who made a name for herself leading the anti-Trump “Resistance” in Congress, even to the point of encouraging her supporters to “confront” members of the Trump administration whenever they saw them out and about in public, and repeatedly calling for impeachment hearings against Trump even before Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation had concluded, told Politico that her priorities have now changed.

  14. I’ve read it said, “PDJT is the greatest president ever.” And I must admit, for those of us paying careful attention (which is pretty much everyone in these branches), it certainly seems like it. Most certainly, none of us have ever seen a POTUS like him in our lifetimes, and definitely lot one who has achieved what he has in just over 2 years in office.

That said, I must register with you….my fellow patriots….that I wince when I hear such a thing said about PDJT. Not because of our Lion, but because it comes at the expense of at least one other man whose contributions to our Republic….IMHO…can never be superseded by anyone.

And that great American is the Foundingest Father of them all….George Washington.

For those interested I offer this short article which debates who is greater….GW or Lincoln. Please pay attention to what is written about GW. I offer this in lieu of my own typed history & opinion, save for my close, and I hope you will read this link first so that my close will have the appropriate meaning and relevance to you.

    https://www.history.com/news/history-faceoff-who-was-the-greatest-president-washington-or-lincoln

Adding just a bit more….and there are volumes more to be said on this topic….is this tidbit from the epicenter of hate and loathing for George Washington….the court of King George of England. No one on earth hated GW more than the King, and no single American was deemed more of a traitor to the King than GW….given who GW was and all he had done to beat the British during the Revolutionary War.

    Here is the story…

Never before, in the history of mankind, had anyone who had attained the power and authority of a man like GW ever peacefully surrendered his power to a successor elected by the people. As the article above points out, it was GW that turned the ink of the Constitution….never put to the test before in this way…into living reality. It was George Washington, a man of absolutely IMPECCABLE integrity, honor, loyalty, and judgement who did it….and quite likely the only man who could have done it. He set the precedence no man since has ever dared challenge for over 2 centuries.

However, at the time there was much speculation….both in America and abroad….if he would actually do it….step down, that is. After all, no one had ever done it. Indeed, all of America was in great fear of this very thing, and given his immense popularity and proven judgement no one….not the politicians, not the military leadership, and most certainly not the people wanted him to step down. In point of fact, the powerful bankers, military leader, and politicians were actually begging him to declare himself King of America!

And, of course, to the British, and especially their monarch, such an idea was unthinkable! Give up the power, prestige, and privileges of a monarch voluntarily because some flimsy piece of paper, and one’s oath to it, demanded it??

So the king, GW’s greatest enemy on earth, declared to his court, “If he does that, he will be the greatest man who ever lived.”

And it’s precisely what Washington did.

Prior to this, of course, Washington had been the Generalmofnthe Continental Army. This account may add some gravitas to this post…

    —————
George Washington – Bidding Farewell to his Officers

In late November, 1783, the last British soldiers left America. The war for independence was finally over, but a cash-strapped Congress had, for years, failed to pay the Continental Army’s officers and soldiers.

Many of the men were bitter, especially when Congress ordered that four/fifths of them would be furloughed (in lieu of paid). General Washington had tried to get Congress to do the right thing for his troops, but Congress was effectively bankrupt.

Washington’s letter to Congress makes clear the General’s feelings on the subject. If the politicians failed to pay the men, as promised, “then shall I have learned what ingratitude is,” and the memory of how his officers and troops had been treated would “embitter every moment of my future life.”

Against that backdrop, Washington returned to New York City where the people gave him a triumphal entry. He invited his officers to meet him at Fraunces Tavern. He wanted to tell them good-bye, before he officially tendered his resignation to Congress. There is an eyewitness account of the meeting which took place in the Tavern’s Long Room.

Colonel Benjamin Tallmadge wrote his account in 1830, several decades later. The original manuscript is maintained by the Fraunces Tavern Museum. This is what it says:

“The time now drew near when General Washington intended to leave this part of the country for his beloved retreat at Mt. Vernon. On Tuesday the 4th of December it was made known to the officers then in New York that General Washington intended to commence his journey on that day.

At 12 o’clock the officers repaired to Fraunces Tavern in Pearl Street where General Washington had appointed to meet them and to take his final leave of them. We had been assembled but a few moments when his Excellency entered the room. His emotions were too strong to be concealed which seemed to be reciprocated by every officer present.

After partaking of a slight refreshment in almost breathless silence the General filled his glass with wine and turning to the officers said, “With a heart full of love and gratitude I now take leave of you. I most devoutly wish that your latter days may be as prosperous and happy as your former ones have been glorious and honorable.”

After the officers had taken a glass of wine General Washington said, ‘” cannot come to each of you but shall feel obliged if each of you will come and take me by the hand.”

General Knox being nearest to him turned to the Commander-in-chief who, suffused in tears, was incapable of utterance but grasped his hand when they embraced each other in silence. In the same affectionate manner every officer in the room marched up and parted with his general in chief. Such a scene of sorrow and weeping I had never before witnessed and fondly hope I may never be called to witness again.”

    ———————-

With Washington’s death in 1799, the praise for him grew all the louder. One admirer wrote that in the dark days of 1776, when it appeared that all might be lost, the “God of Liberty” declared, “I have found a patriot worthy to rule a nation of freemen. A flood of glory burst from heaven, and encircled Washington. At the boldness of his achievements the ministers of Britain stood appalled, their monarch trembled upon his throne, and despotism himself, blinded by the blaze of his fame, threw down his chains.”
    .
    .

I share all this because I think it is very important to remember just how HUGE it is that we have a presidency that regularly…and PEACEFULLY….transfers power to a newly elected President. Without this, we wouldn’t have President Donald J Trump….and it was Washington who set the precedence. The monumental importance of this simply cannot be overstated nor over-emphasized.

Lastly, I would say, too……if King George himself declared that on top of all GW’saccomplishments, should Washington actually step down that he would be the greatest man who ever lived, then surely….given how we Americans view and understand our own history…..that makes Washington, if not the greatest man who ever lived (of course not, that is Jesus), the greatest US President of all-time. And not only this, but one whose singular act of service, in establishing the precedence now expected of all Presidents, is one that can never be surpassed by any who follow.

It is this crowning act, with all else he did as it’s foundation, that makes George Washington the greatest US President of all time, never to lose this position to anyone who may follow.

And the history of why this is true is the thing of utmost importance to remember about both our Republic, and the man who did the most to establish it.

May God bless and protect President Donald J Trump, and may he preserve and maintain the true history and honor of one of his great sevants of this world, George Washington.

    1. AMEN!

I should also admit that I feel the same way – that Washington was both inspired and blessed by God Himself to make the founding of this nation a reality.

George Washington sets an eternal standard – a bar raised by God Himself.

My calculation was simple. If I could not find a valid reason why Washington’s divinely blessed experiment should end, then it remained my duty to do all that I could to prevent that end. Unable to comprehend any greater principle that might allow this nation to retire from its founding principles, and further moved by OTHER divine proclamations of the importance of America for the future (not all of which are Christian), I had no choice but to support this nation BECAUSE OF GEORGE WASHINGTON.

We carry on FOR Washington. His Divinely Approved Mission placed above us and before us, there is no force which can stop us, in peace or in war. Even if we give our very lives for that purpose.

Not his coin, but that message….

    2. I think that Pres Trump, himself, would agree with you FG&C.

George Washington was sort of the prototype of What A President Should Be.
He was a man of impeccable honor and courage…who steadfastly adhered to our founding principles…principles that he had a hand in setting forth.

President Washington was in office during a simpler time.
Our country was in it’s infancy with only about 2.4 million in total population.
Only men of property were allowed to vote then.

George Washington didn’t have to deal with the complexities that Pres Trump is having to deal with.
The world moved at a slower pace back in Washington’s time…which allowed for more time to deliberate before making a decision.

President Trump presides over a country that is nearly five times larger in area, with a population of around 350 million.
With our current technology level, we live in a 24/7/365 fast-paced world.

We don’t know how Pres Washington would have fared if he had had to deal with the complexities of our current era.
I like to think that he would do equally as well as he did back during his own time.

I think that people mean no disrespect to George Washington, when they say that Pres Trump is “the best president ever”.
If pressed…most would probably qualify that with “since Pres Washington”, since Washington was the prototype that we haven’t really seen since he left office…till now.

    3. george washington is THE commander in chief.

i am sure he had a few snags in his silk breeches – let a man that does not come forth and prove otherwise.

his pictures in my various revolutionary was books as a child created my view of american spirit and patriotism.

and he led his army of citizens like a true leader in the face of extreme circumstances.

when i was younng (70’s 80’s) george washington was the father of the country. revered enough that he was respected by all (most) and taught about in school. an officer a gentleman a statesman and above all an american.

as for now – wow president trump is special no doubt about it. big league. and he is leading american citizens in another fight this to time protect what washington helped create. in order to win our fresdom back for a second time.

      a modern day george washington.

or if the time travel rumors are correct… 😉
